　　THE SALVATORE FAMILY WAS FAMOUS IN THE SMALL TOWN that they helped build from the ground up. Mystic Falls, Virginia wouldn't be what it was if it hadn't been for them, and the other families who helped found the town. Luca was only the latest in a long line of Salvatores, and despite being only a teenager in high school, he knew the secrets of Mystic Falls quite well.

　　Growing up, Luca learned everything there was to know about vampires from his father, Zach Salvatore. By the time he was thirteen, Luca knew how to fight a vampire, how to kill one, and how to prevent one from drinking his blood or compelling him. And when he graduated high school, Luca knew that he would become a member of the Founder's Council alongside his father, who couldn't be more proud of him.

　　Things were normal in Mystic Falls until the day that Elena Gilbert and her parents had gone off the side of Wickery Bridge in their car. It was on that night that Luca had met his ancestor, Stefan Salvatore, and a few months after that he would meet Damon Salvatore. Luca knew from his father that the famous Salvatore brothers had stayed at the Boarding House before, and he hoped that they wouldn't stick around for long this time.

　　But it didn't seem like Luca Salvatore was going to get his wish anytime soon. No matter how much he had hoped for a peaceful school year, his ancestors were hell-bent on staying in Mystic Falls, and it didn't seem like they were going to leave anytime soon. Now he would find himself caught in the middle of a family feud between his own flesh and blood, and left with no other choice but to get involved in all of the chaos.

A U T H O R　N O T E
I never thought I'd be writing an Elena Gilbert fic, but here we are. You asked and you shall receive. And you know what? I'm actually really excited for this plot. Yeah, I might be doing the whole cliché where Elena falls for a Salvatore OC. But my character is actually very different from the others that I've come across seeing as he is the son of Zach and Gail, not Stefan and Damon's brother.

Speaking of Zach and Gail, I fixed up their characters a bit. Not only did they both get recasted (Zach now being portrayed by an Italian actor and Gail as someone who I think makes a good mom for Lorenzo Zurzulo), but I did kind of rewrite their story? Gail was never considered his wife, only his lover and the mother of Sarah. But now she will be, as I intend for her and Zach to have been married before Damon unnecessarily killed her. I've also made them high school sweethearts, and Gail worked at the hospital with Nicole Cartwright before she died.

Also, Sarah Salvatore will not exist. Despite Luca having already been born by the time Gail was killed, both she and the baby died. Stefan never pointlessly hid the baby away from Damon, Luca simply lost both his mother and unborn sister that day. Which will obviously make tensions arise when Damon comes along and Luca discovers that he is the reason his family fell apart when he was little.
