There were many princesses who were left yet to participate so the hopes of Drupad were still there but when Karnika came towards the pavillion he got confused.

Not only Drupad but Sagar and Krishnav also got confused.

"Rani Karnika is married, why is she participating ?" Krishnav asked.

"I too am confused." Sagar said.

"Why ? Did you think only men can marry more than once ? Not women ?" Krishna said.

"They surely can Keshav, but I don't think that's the reason why she is participating." Sagar said.

As Karnika walked up to the Kindhura, fear clutched the heart of remaining princesses who had yet not participated. They knew among them the queen of Anga was a better archer and has a chance of picking up the bow.

Karnika puts her hand over the grip of the bow and tried to pull it but the wasn't able to pick up the bow. She frowned and then again tried to pick up the bow but failed.

She looked at the bow confused and then her eyes fell on the string. Karnika knew that if she cannot pick up the bow then no one can, but if she can just string it then she will be claimed as the winner.

Thus Karnika moved her hand towards the the divine string and got hold of it. She tried to pick it up but the string didn't budge.

Karnika gathered all the force, all the strength she had and once again pulled it with full might. A drop of sweat fell from her forehead as she struggled to pull the string towards the other end.

The veins of her hands and neck started protruding over her skin as her face became red. Feeling that her hand might break with all her veins bursting, Karnika let's go of the string goes a few steps back but luckily doesn't fall.

She pants as she felt that her entire body was burning due to so much energy she used. Seeing her fail the rest of the princesses also accepted their defeat.

"Maharaj Drupad ! If a warrior like Rani Karnika failed to lift the bow ! Then no Kshatrani can lift it !" Suyodhanaa said.

"Rajkumari Suyodhanaa what makes you think your friend over here is the chief among Kshatranis and that if she fails then the rest will also ?" Krishna asked.

"Vasudev ! Don't fool us with your words ! This Kindhura Dhanush cannot be lifted by anyone ! Maharaj Drupad why did you conduct the Swayamvadhu in such a manner when no one could win in ? Are trying to insult us Kshatranis ?" Suyodhanaa asked.

"It's nothing like that Rajkumari, perhaps the one worthy of lifting the bow hasn't come up yet." Drupad said trying to calm the situation.

"How do you know that the worthy one is not here ? Are you saying the rest of us Kshatranis are incompetent ? We shall not tolerate this !" Suyodhanaa said.

"Yes ! We shall not tolerate it !" The rest of the princesses also proclaimed.

Suyodhanaa went up to her seat and picked up her mace as she raised it towards Drupad.

"Come Maharaj ! I challenge you for a duel ! Let me break that arrogance of yours once again !" Suyodhanaa yelled.

"Suyodhanaa ! Without the permission of Maharaj of Hastinapur, you cannot challenge any King or queen for a duel !" Sagar said standing up.

"But Maharaj of Hastinapur is not present here." Suyodhanaa gritted her teeth.

"The Yuvraj of Hastinapur is here ! And with that authority I order you to retreat ! RIGHT NOW !" Sagar scolded.

"Alright ! Fine ! I will retreat on one condition." Suyodhanaa said.

"What ?" Sagar asked.

"If any lady present here thinks she can pick up the Kindhura Dhanush, string it and shoot the target and then she can come and try. Or else Rajkumar Krishnav would have to marry me instead." Suyodhanaa said.

Before anyone could say anything Krishna came in between with a smirk on his face.

"We accept it." Krishna said.
