Infirma
~•°•~
Lyra felt her skin burn as the silver collar dug into her neck and the rope that was tightly wrapped around her wrists caused her to wince in pain. She remembered waking up in the back of her car all tied up and gagged as Jasper drove silently into the familiar woodlands of the Northern pack.
She was back!
All that came into her mind was seeing him. Ignacios would be here, waiting for her. Only to hurt her again. But somehow, his opinion doesn't matter to her anymore. She had given up her unhealthy pursuit for his love a long time ago when she met Evan.
Then came Ned and Felix. She hoped she doesn't see Ned. It would only break her heart to see her father’s calm gray eyes. And Felix, she wondered where was he now.
Thoughts after thoughts continue to flood through her until Jasper stopped the car, her eyes darting to the windshield, seeing the Northern crest welded on the mass gate.
“Stay quiet,” he said. As if she was going to talk with a piece of cloth gagging her. She watched him silently wait for the gate to open. “you forgot to tell me you are the one who stepped out of line and kissed my Alpha all those years ago. You got sent away along with the Alpha’s brother. You are an icon here in our pack, parents tell your story to their children. Any whore or stupid buffoon that steps out of line will be punished accordingly.” He chuckled.
Her eyes caught his eyes in the rearview mirror. She glared at him, only making him smile. She only acted on impulse and madness.
She tried to speak but all that came out of her mouth was muffled screams.
“Oh Moon, do you ever stop?” he was annoyed, the gruff tone in his voice made her sure of that.
The gate opens slowly and she was greeted by wolves, their head bowed down in respect for Jasper. A sudden tick in her heart made her eyes widen and her veins surge with blood. She felt him, she felt Ignacios through her wolf.
Her wolf howled inside of her, its sporadic movement causing her to close her eyes and breathing heavily. She wanted to stay calm yet her wolf wanted to end Iggy’s life.
Her eyes caught the massive mansion, its familiarity causing her to breathe erratically.
“We’re home,” he said and stepped out of the car. He dragged her out of the car, her muffled groans sent an annoying tick into Jasper’s ears.
He ripped off the clothing that was pushed into her mouth and glared at her. She gasped as she looked at him with fury.
“You little shit, you did take me here,” she growled, her eyes narrowing at his lilac orbs that burnt with annoyance.
“And so?” he pulled the chain, causing her to yelp. “You have no power over me wolf,”
She followed him into the house, each step she took caused an uproar in her depths. Her wolf howled, scratched, and begged to be let out but she couldn't afford for her wolf to get hurt.
The familiar halls decked with knick-knacks, the scent of the woods, and Edward. He was still here.
‘Neddy, please help.’ She thought to herself.
“Let me go you brat!” She said.
“Look infirma, if I did that then I will dishonor my service to the Alpha. He is all-knowing, he is mighty, and he is the Northern-born Alpha. The four sides of the world know him. My Alpha Ignacios Santillano. Just the name causes a chill to run down the spine of enemies. Be grateful, for you will be in the presence of an Alpha.” He said the pride in his voice made her shiver.
Jasper was enamored with the thoughts of Ignacios being the best. It scared her what she might see in him and to discover what he has done.
With a shaken voice, she stopped, her eyes looking at Jasper intently. “What did he do? What is he known for?”
With a chuckle and dangerous glint of joy in his eyes, Jasper answered. “He killed the Alpha and Luna of the East. Alpha Killian and Luna Amanda.”
Her heart sunk as he watched him smile and continued to pull her. Her legs numb as a wave of unfathomable emotion washed over her.
Why kill a Luna and an Alpha?
She wanted to ask that, but the lack of words in her mind made her go silent.
“We are here,” he said. Knocking on the door. His familiar scent wafted into her nose. This was it, she was going to see him again. “My Alpha, it's me, Jasper Welch.”
“Come in.” the deep masculine voice that sounded from inside made her lookup.
Jasper opened the door and there, in the middle of the room stood Ignacios. His eyes were as cruel as the day he sent her away. It was both chilling but completely nothing.
The nothingness in his eyes was a nightmare. He doesn't feel anymore.
She kept her eyes down. It felt like her chest was about to explode at any given moment. The heat from Iggy’s eyes made her wolf sit erect. Iggy was watching her intently. She could feel him cut a hole through her.
“My Alpha, my brother Norman is with his human mate. While I was helping a relative of my brother's mate, I found this,” he yanked the chain making her hiss. He kicked her behind the knees, forcing her to drop. Jasper pulled back her head, letting her see the dread in Iggy’s eyes. “This whore, this infirma, has been mated to the Alpha of the East while the stench of the Southern-born rots in her.”
She couldn't speak, but she knew Jasper was now only making stuff up. He was lying to get the Alpha’s approval.
The extent of people do for gratification always did make her want to vomit.
“She is a busy wolf,” Ignacios said with a low voice. She watched his eyes smile.
‘I'm not a fucking whore.’ she mentally sneered, controlling herself.
“That is all my wolf,” He said.
“Aye, Alpha. She will be put in the holding cell.” Jasper turned and pulled the chain. “She will be ready for questioning once you are ready.”
“No wait,” said Ignacios. “let me have her.”
Lyra looked up, her eyes meeting his. Her hands started to sweat as he removed the chains from Jasper's hand.
With a nod, Jasper spoke, “Of course, my Alpha.” and turned for the door closing it behind him.
She was left alone with him, her eyes narrowing at his tall physique. He looked like a ravenous maw that was ready to devour her. His tight jaw, squared as he looked down on her. He had his arms crossed over his chest as he sat on top of his desk. He had certainly grown. His masculine chest was neatly hugged by the thin shirt he wore. It was the same shirt she gave him on his twentieth birthday.
He looked, Godly.
The innocence that radiated from his looks made her want to vomit. He was certainly a wolf in sheep's clothing.
“We meet again,” he said. Smiling a very sweet smile. Although it was such a saccharine smile, it meant nothing to her. He was the Devil’s apple.
“Unfortunately,” she murmured under her breath.
She heard a humorless chuckle from him. “Why so?”
“Because I see a demon under the facade of the greatest person I've ever known,” she whispered, reminiscing the memories of her, Edward, Felix, and him together.
“Awe,” he shook his head. “it's not so bad.” he leaned down to face her. His face mere inches apart from hers to the point she could feel his warm breath fanned her skin. “I am still the person you know, only different, in a way.”
His chilling voice made a reverberating sensation course through her body. It was cold and warm at the same time. Angry and flustered as she held herself. Her hand shook with anger as she struggled to keep her wolf at bay.
Fighting against the Alpha would prove deathly. She wanted to make out of this alive.
With a sudden action, he pulled her off the floor. His warm hands caused her to blow up with anger.
“Don't ever touch me again!”
She never wanted the person who hurt her so bad to lay a finger on her.
“Or what?” he challenged.
“Or this!” she rammed her forehead into his nose, causing him to yelp from the unexpected force.
She watched him silently wipe the blood that came out of his nose.
A bloody nose was just a sample. If she didn't have her hands tied up, she would have already scratched his eyes off.
He chuckled, his daunting voice made Lyra quiet. This sudden sprout of fear made her shiver.
“You are truly surprising.” he shook his head. “I had hoped to see you back here dead, but you're alive and kicking.”
“I'm alive because I chose to be. I would never end myself for someone who doesn't even see me.” she sneered at him. She hated the way his eyes shined with mischief. It was sickening and terrible.
He laughed, the sound of his horrible amusement.
“What's so funny?” she asked, the clear sign of anger over her voice was showing.
“You’re not showing your emotions. Aren't you mad for what I have done?”
She was, but every fleeting second of memories once remembered was now kept buried deep within her depths to shield herself from any emotions she felt for him.
“You don't deserve to know anything of me,” she said, her heart feeling quite satisfied with her sullen answer. Even her wolf calmed down. She knew she had to be more than the crying pathetic mess she was.
“I want you to hate me,” he whispered. It was more of a request than a statement. His calm strict voice shot her.
“I’ve always hated you. The Moon knows how much. She might burn me with pain after I say this but. I, as your true and destined wolf, detest you. I reject you and reject the memory of us. I wish for a life, for a new one. That my parents were here, that Edward had a mate of his own, that you, my brother, is happy with Felix. But I would never hate the Ignacios I have come to know ever since I was a kid. You're not him.” she whispered. She sought after his eyes. They were mixed emotions that confused her. She wanted to be able to know what he was thinking, but the conflict in his eyes made her scared of what may be the outcome. She hid the tears well as she waited for him to answer. His silence broke her apart, his smile was dangerous and cruel.
“Thank you, Lyra,” he said.
She lowered her head, feeling her heartbeat a thousand times faster. All that and all he said was a simple thank you. She was caught off guard as the smell of blood reached her nose, and the sight of droplets of blood hitting the cold floor, exploding into separate pools made her lookup.
The sight almost made her gasped as she shook tremendously from the vivid scene of the man in front of him crying blood.
Blood. He's crying blood. He's bleeding from the inside.
“My Moo—” she felt a hand land on her neck. It struck her like thunder, causing her to lose the light within her eyes. Her body fell on the floor with him being the last thing she saw. His sorrowful, conflicted, and pained eyes.

“My Moo—” With an impulse, Lois knocked out Lyra.
She watched the poor girl fall into an abyssal sleep. She couldn't move as she watched Ignacios smile while streaks of blood seeped out of his eyes.
“Stop this at once! You're going to kill your human!” She bellowed, feeling her heartbeat quicken as he glared in her direction.
She was the cause of this.
If he dies, she's the one responsible.
If he gets cleaved and his wolf remains in his body, everyone would be doom.
A wolf was the drive, the will to push boundaries. While the human was the one who held them together with emotions, dreams, and feelings.
If the wolf dies, his human stays. But he loses the memories of him being a wolf.
But if the human dies, the wolf will take over and wreak havoc.
And that was happening now.
It wasn't Ignacios that rejected Lyra, it was his wolf because she told him so. Lois wanted Ignacios for herself. Now that her selfishness had become the harbinger of her death, she wanted to fix it.
“And why do you care?” he said. “This weak human side of me will die and I will remain, isn't that what you wanted?”
No, it's wasn't.
“I wanted to love!” she said, her voice cracking a little bit.
His chuckle sounded all too demonic. She never wanted to turn a sweet and innocent wolf into a demented, emotionless hollow shell.
“You couldn't make anyone love you even if you poison their minds with Wolfsbane, and most importantly, no one can ever truly love you if you deny them the truth of how a selfish, disgusting, weak, and pathetic, wolf you are.”
“I never wanted this to happen,” she whispered. A single drop of tear left a trail down her red cheeks.
“And I don't care. You know he doesn't blame you for poisoning us, for bending our minds with that drink. He blamed himself for believing our brother and her had mated together. He blamed himself for accepting your invitation three years ago. And I hate him for it. He doesn't know how and who to blame because he's too naive to see the good in people. My human is weak, I am better off without him.” he said, his dominant voice send shivers down her spine as he stepped in front of her. She looked up, into those judging empty grey eyes.
She knew of Ignacios as the kindest of all Alphas in the camp. Too bad that her mate was no other than Lyra. The wolf whom her true mate was head over paws for. She wanted to take what Lyra took away from her, her mate. But this monster wasn't what she wanted, and she never thought it would explode into something like this.
“I need to speak with your human.”
She wanted to apologize if it wasn't too late.
“But the question is, does he want to speak with you?” he smirked.
He probably didn't. How would she even start her words?
“I guess not,” he said and turned away. “Get Dr, Fontana, have him take care of her.”
She was as he sent her a stare, something that immediately immobilized her. She wanted to scream but instead, she had turned into a fountain of tears as she was immersed in a sea of despair along with the darkness of the truth, what she had done was irreversible.
