Yellowfang was born to Brightflower and Brackenfoot in ShadowClan, where she trained as a warrior. During her apprenticeship, she came to realize she had the ability to experience others' pain, and reluctantly became a medicine cat after receiving her warrior name. Her romance with Raggedpelt continued. This led to Yellowfang having his kits, against the Warrior Code. Of the three kits born, Brokenkit was the only to survive.

She was later wrongly exiled by her own son when he became leader. Yellowfang joins ThunderClan and becomes medicine cat there. Her and Fireheart form a bond, and she considers him something of a son.

After ThunderClan takes Brokentail as prisoner, she kills him with deathberries. Shortly following, she dies in the fire that swept through ThunderClan camp.

I love Yellowfang. She's such a unique character, and I love her arc. I could go on a rant about why I like her so much but I think her little bio ^^ is enough. After reading her story, how could you not love her?? ~ Thunder

I was never really crazy for Yellowfang, but she's still pretty cool. Her story is very original, making her to be an interesting character. I personally think she was very strong to go through the things she had to go through, like killing Brokentail, her last surviving son in order to help keep the clans away from his tyranny. No one could say that they didn't like the sassy old furball!

When I was reading the series Yellowfang was funny to me and I enjoyed her but didn't think seriously or really that much about her. Now that I have an actual thought process on what I'm reading, Yellowfang has such a good story. She gets thrown out of her home by her son and she later kills her son. Also all of her relationships are to die for. Yellowfang as mom to Firestar? SIGN ME UP. Yellowfang as mom to Cinderpelt? SIGN ME UP. I love her. She's so prickly but then she's soft to select cats and I just MMMMMM BOY I love Yellowfang.

The scene where we met Yellowfang was shocking to me at first, and it kept me reading, wanting to know her story. Over time, she grew on me, and I couldn't get enough of her! Her life had her ups and downs, but at least she got to be with Firestar and Cinderpelt!
