Ok, so I love Dustpelt so much, (who doesn't?) and I was so devastated when he died. I think he was actually the number one cat I cried at's death. So we first picture him as being mean and snobbish, because he and Sandstorm (paw) were always picking on Firestar (paw). But as Firestar (paw/heart) gets to be a better warrior, he becomes nicer to him, and his sister eventually becomes mates with Firestar (heart). Dustpelt is one of the mainer cats and eventually becomes mates with Ferncloud. Ferncloud and him have a lot of kits, including Spiderleg, Birchfall, Icecloud...anyway, Dustpelt fights bravely in The Great Battle, but Ferncloud dies, and a few moons later, so does Dustpelt. Dustpelt was an honorable warrior, and I think that every warrior should be like him. He was ambitious, cunning, smart, loyal, and everything a warrior should be. This cat, was a true warrior.

GUYS I CRIED WHEN I READ HE DIED I LOVED DUSTPELT SO MUCH AND DIDN'T EVER WANT HIM TO DIE BUT WHEN FERNCLOUD DIED I KNEW HE'D DIE SOON BECAUSE HE MISSED HER SO MUCH AND I SHIP THEM, THEY ARE OTP, OTP I REPEAT AND THEY WERE JUST PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER BUT I LOVE DUSTPELT SO MUCH BECAUSE HE NEVER BETRAYED HIS CLAN AND SPOKE UP FOR WHAT WAS RIGHT AND I JUST CAN'T.

Dustpelt was one of the characters in the series that I loved for their change in heart. While some of the Warrior cats are typical sticks in the mud (for anything they do, see Hawkfrost and his evilness) Dustpelt took only a few books (or even just one depending on who you are) to affix his way into our hearts. When he began as Sandstorm's partner in kittypet-racism and hate I knew that he was going to be an interesting character, at the very least making it hard for Firestar to live in his new home. But when Erin Hunter allowed him to grow past that single minded Warriorcat judgement and let him grow as a cat and as a loyal member of ThunderClan, I found out what a wonderful cat he truly was. When he died I was devastated. It made me so ridiculously sad that I was actually depressed for the rest of the day after finishing the book. I like to remember that it's really two things that changed Dustpelt- his acceptance of Firestar, and his newfound love for Ferncloud; and that not all Warrior's characters are the stereotypical cat. So yes, like I've said for EVERY CAT that we've reviewed thus far- I really like Dustpelt, and long for other cats with his propensity for good and for love.

I thought Dustpaw was evil, and that he was going to pare up with Tigerstar in his mean plans. However, the day of Tigerclaw's banishment, he stood up to him like a warrior; much better than Longtail and Darkstripe did. I'm reading Tigerclaw's fury, and, rereading Dustpelt's speech made me feel as if HE DESERVED SANDSTORM BETTER THAN FIRESTAR DESERVED HER! But that's not the point. Dustpaw turned out to be a great and honorable warrior, Dustpelt, and he was part of the cats that were able to live for a billion years.
There's only one thing that I disliked about Dustpelt.
Dear Ferncloud, Why did you have to have Dustpelt? I thought Dustpelt had more brains than that! Ferncloud is just a she cat that stays in the nursery and takes care of the kits and queens. When did ThunderClan need a second queen-medicine cat?! Dustpelt is one of the bravest warriors in ThunderClan, and you, Ferncloud, I have no words to describe you...

I guess I could sum it up by saying that Dustpelt has a grumpy and mean side, but also a nice and a brave one. Definitely one of my favorite cats.

Yeah so like I haven't read Bramblestar's Storm either so technically I shouldn't be here.

Okay I'm back I couldn't leave there's an invisible shield over there... *points*
But anyways to start, Dusty is a Scrub. Like really, he's pretty bad. I mean he was MEAN and ABUSIVE at the beginning of the series, then he is STILL mean to Firestar when he becomes a leader. Am I seeing a pattern here? YES YOU ARE! Up until the end [this is an educated guess here, kids] he is mad at Firestar who now lives in StarClan. StarClan's kits, he's evil!
Honestly I say the only good thing he ever did was be Bob the Builder. 'Dustpelt, fix this!' 'Dustpelt, fix that!' Poor poor cat... I probably should have made this more serious but I'm not in a serious mood. Next time!
