Interview Questions:

What inspired you to write this piece?

If you've listened to it, then you'll be able to tell that the song is about teenage mental health, and it's addressed mostly to parents, but just people who don't understand in general. I wrote this piece about a year ago when I myself was struggling from mental health problems, and I was too afraid to tell anyone. I told my family eventually, and I'm better now, but writing this song was a way to get through that and hopefully one day to get the message out to people.

What does music mean to you?

Music for me is a way to escape reality, much like writing. I love to just listen to a song, or to just sit down and play guitar or piano as a way to forget about reality and life for a few minutes. I honestly don't know what I'd do without music in my life.

What do you love about performing?

I love just playing my instrument and singing, I never care about the audience while I sing, and then when it's over, I love how I feel when I hear applause. It makes me feel like I can do anything.

Who/what are your major artistic influences?

When I write music, I don't really have any influences as such, I just focus on the music and what I feel. However, for song covers, I always love to do something by Panic! At The Disco or Set it Off.
