Interview Questions:

Why did you choose to cover this song?

"Shelter" is originally by xx, though I drew heavy inspiration from Birdy's cover of it as well. I wanted to choose something I liked and that (hopefully) wouldn't be too boring or weird without musical accompaniment. I have no instrumental talent to speak of and am not overly fond of karaoke tracks.

What does music mean to you?

Music has been an outlet and a coping mechanism for me for a long time. Whether it's listening, or singing aloud, or in my head, it's something I've always fallen back on for comfort and for fun.

What do you love about performing?

I'm actually not crazy about performing. ^^; I generally only sing seriously when I'm alone or in my car. The only times I've performed on a stage were with my high school choir. And while I've fantasized about being a musician, I've always operated under the assumption that trying for a singing career would be a hair delusional. Lol

Who/what are your major artistic influences?

Really anything I enjoy the tone and artistry of, which I've found in some form in pretty much every genre.
