Why did you choose to cover this song?

I love how this song tells so much in the quiet of it all. This song is stripped back to the basics and tells a story that I think most people could relate to.

What does music mean to you?

Although I tend to be very complacent in my everyday life, music has always been a constant. Whenever there's been a significant time in my life, I can remember a song that links me to that moment e.g. Graduation = The Scientist by Coldplay, Marriage = You Are Enough by Atlas, Twins born = Circle of Life (cheesy, I know.)

What do you love about performing?

I love the adrenaline that pumps right before you sing that first note, or play that first key. Then when I begin to sing, I feel like I'm able to achieve anything. It also gives me the opportunity to reach out and share something with people I usually wouldn't be able to interact with otherwise.

Who/what are your major artistic influences?

I'm a big fan of jazz and the greats that mastered the craft, like Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Sarah Vaughn and am inspired by their performance styles.
