@Yavanna80
Yavanna80 is an amazing account home to great books such as 'Avengers Preferences and One Shots' which has 451k reads, and they have 2k followers. It was lovely to interview them, and here is what they had to say!
Why did you start writing on Wattpad?
It took me a while to start writing but I had this dream in which Clint Barton and I were on a mission and he was wounded then I grabbed his bow and row and covered him for a while until I we were swarmed. It bugged me for quite some time and decided to make it a book.
That wasy very first work "I'm no angel. Yes, you are." one day I'll finish it.
And about the Avengers prepaid one-shots, I came across awesomeness books that inspired me but then others that were horrible or just incomplete and I tried my best to come up with plausible scenarios.
Where does your inspiration come from?
To be honest, it can be from mundane things such as cooking, doing the laundry, listening to music... But reading my favorite fanfics authors helps a lot.
What's been your proudest moment on Wattpad?
Contrary to what people believe, it's not having X followers.
I have two proudest moments
The first one was when my favorite authors, the ones that inspire me, told me they loved my work.
The second one was when I started to inspire people back.
What's your favourite book on Wattpad?
I'm sorry. This one is difficult to answer. I couldn't pick a book because have quite a few. :)
Are you planning on writing anymore books?
Not at the moment. I prefer to finish the ones I have on hold like the Avengers Preferences book and my Clint book rather than writing another one and leave people hanging. I have an idea but it'd really embrionary.
What's the hardest part about writing on Wattpad?
The pressure some readers put you through to update your book/s. Writer's block and real life are in the way. I had to step aside and stop writing for a while and decide what to write. Reader's expectation is great. Pressure... Not so much. I get them but it causes me anxiety. So far, people had been really understanding and I thank them for that!
And finally, what advice would you give to a new writer on Wattpad?
Write what you want to write. There will always be someone who loves your work.
Accept positive advice and constructive criticism. There's good people who wants to help you improve your writing skills.
Surround yourself by positive people and enjoy your work. The day you write what people wants and not the other way round, take a step back and take a breather.
