@madandbougie
madandbougie is a madly aesthetic account, and has books such as 'Hawthorne Heights' which has 284k reads! It was great to interview her, and here is what she had to say!
When did you start writing on Wattpad?
I started writing on Wattpad two years ago a few days after my birthday.
What's been your proudest moment on Wattpad?
My proudest moment on Wattpad had to be when I completed my first actual book, Hawthorne Heights--only because I'm the biggest procrastinator ever!
Where do you get inspiration from?
I get my inspiration from fables that I heard growing up, life around me in my city, and the people that I'm surrounded by. Whenever I'm out in public I think, "Oh! This would be great to write about."
Which book has been the most fun to write?
Honestly, Honey Jude, a book currently in my drafts has been the most fun due to the simple fact that I'm writing outside of my comfort zone. It ties in Greek mythology and several other other-worldly aspects with a spin on them.
What's the hardest part about writing on Wattpad?
The hardest part about writing on Wattpad is that once I take a break, the break lasts for weeks at a time because of writer's block! I've had a major writer's block for maybe two weeks now.
What type of chapters are the most fun to write?
The starting chapters are the most fun opposed to the epilogues. The intro and chapter one are like the foundations to the story--if I don't like them then I won't like the rest of the story, lol.
And finally, what advice would you give to a new writer on Wattpad?
My advice is to write down everything that you hate with books that you have read or have heard of, even movies, and do the exact opposite in your own story. That's how I ended up writing Hawthorne Heights and it must've worked since I won the Watty's this year!
