So some people have suggested that I do an interview with myself and at first I was unsure whether to do this, but then I thought it would be pretty cool so here is an interview with myself. Basically I've just compiled a list of the general questions I ask people, and these are my answers to them!
Why did you start writing on Wattpad?
I started writing on Wattpad a while back on a different account, and I did it out of boredom which is a really boring answer I know. It was on a Saturday afternoon and I had nothing better to do so I started writing my first, very bad book on Wattpad.
I started this account for the same reason to be honest, because I was looking for something else to do. I know this is such a boring answer and I wish I could say something interesting like I was 'proving someone wrong' but no.
Which book has been the most fun to write?
A lot of my books have been fun to write, but I really enjoyed writing 'Things Wattpad Writers Do' because I loved seeing how much people related to it. People would message me like 'I read your book and felt like you had been watching me!' and things like that which were quite amusing.
I've also really enjoyed writing this book, and interviewing all these inspirational authors. It's always fun to see what people write, and I like learning about all these writers.
How did it feel to hit 50k for the first time?
Pretty insane. I know it's not much compared to some books, however I found it completely unbelievable. I had never expected any of my books to get nearly as far as 50k because it seemed like such an out of reach goal. I was over the moon, and I couldn't be more thankful for everyone who has read my books.
What's been your proudest moment on Wattpad?
Getting #1 in Non-Fiction was a pretty special moment for me. I've told this story about 1,000 times on this account, but I found out that I was #1 in Non-Fiction for the first time while I was on a ferry at sunset coming back from a short holiday with a friend and it was such an amazing moment. It meant a lot to me, and I felt like I'd actually achieved something.
What's the best part about writing on Wattpad?
I don't want to sound like I'm parroting what all the other writers have answered to this question, but the readers and the people you meet truly make writing on Wattpad so enjoyable. The support I've received and the things I've learnt from the people I interact with on Wattpad have taught me a lot about the world around me and myself.
Thank you so much to anyone who has supported me in any way, I appreciate you guys so much!
What's the hardest part about writing on Wattpad?
Updating. When you have so many books, keeping track of them can be really hard and I feel this massive guilt when I don't update for around five days.
What's something you wish your followers knew about you?
That I'm just a weirdo with no life, so please message me and talk to me. And that I love all of them, and couldn't ask for more amazing followers. I am so grateful for every comment, vote and message I receive.
And finally, what advice would you give to a new writer on Wattpad?
I'll make this short and concise because I love to ramble on. Believe in yourself. That read count doesn't define you or your talent in anyway, and overtime people will see how amazing you are. Write for yourself, write because you want to, and write books that you'd want to read yourself.
