Meet the Star: SilentInspired

When I was 12 years old, I started having dreams— that are so foreign to me, it was like my imagination were making different scenario in my head that didn't actually make sense. It was also more than a year after my father's death. At that time, I remember that I cannot really grasp my emotions and thoughts very well so I resorted to writing. It has been my outlet eversince. It doesn't matter if it's just a letter, a poem, a short story or a novel, I just write my thoughts down.

Discovering wattpad was just a very simple incident at that time. It was way back hallyu wave from kdrama was invading the Philippines from Coffee Prince to Boys Over Flowers. A lot of writers were writing fan fiction about my ultimate ships before so I got exposed from Wattpad back then to read these fan fictions. With this, I actually encountered wattpad to read and not to actually write.

I guess every completed story of mine, even if they are far from perfection, the mere fact I closed a story means a lot to me. But if I would pick one, it will be the first installment of Montgomery Series which is Caught. It opened many doors for me, it unlocked my deeper thoughts and beliefs; and it was the story that taught me so many things as well. I was also told that I resemble the main female character in terms of personality even if I didn't intend it that way, so it is very close to my heart.

My favorite experience will definitely be the day that I received an email to be part of the paid stories program. Not because of having my story monetized but because back then my confidence in terms of my writing is at its brink so it felt like a lift to actually be noticed by the people behind these programs.

I want them to know how the characters were actually are. When I am writing, I put more depth in writing the character's personality because even if these characters are only living in books, these characters are just like any other person out there from different walks of life. I want understanding to elevate and for us to see what can drive a person to make decisions that we cannot actually phantom doing ourselves. I want them to feel that connection, to understand where that character is coming from.

Truth to be told, I still consider myself as a beginner but maybe for an advice, it is just to be true to yourself, keep your feet on the ground, and learn-learn-learn, don't stop learning and improving yourself. Everything will start from there.

Just like anybody else, I am also a reader before having to face the wrath of my course in college (BS in Accountancy) so I am not really familiar to the new writers today but I remember reading before a story from SiMarcoJoseAko, the title was Constantly. I remember liking that story very much.

What I like most is the learning part, because I never had the chance to study for writing given that my course if mostly numbers. I am learning a lot and I get to use them to improve and deliver stories these days.
