Meet the Star: henloimnyx

Actually, when I was a kid, I am not really interested in reading books. My cousins would give me piles of storybooks, yet, I won't read them unless they don't have illustrations hahahaha. I just started to enjoy on reading when an Ebook story was introduced to me. Since then, I binge-read every Ebooks she had sent to me, but I wasn't satisfied with some of the endings of those stories, so I've decided to write a story on my own. What I what to happen, and the ending that I want—that will satisfy me.

As I have mentioned, there's a friend of mine who introduced an Ebook stories to me. I got curious about where I can find more stories like those she had sent me, and she mentioned, "On the internet . . . Wattpad." So, when I went home that time, I immediately searched Wattpad on our PC. I created an account, and then boom! The rest is history.

I think it's "The Beauty Within". It is a novelette and the first installment of my series named, BeYOUtiful. Even though it hasn't won an award, get high reads, votes, etc. I am and always will be proud of it because a lot of people commented on that story and shared their experiences with me. On how they can relate to the female lead. How it is relevant and timely. And how the story enlightens and inspires them—to accept, appreciate, and love themselves. And that always will beyond price. Currently, the mentioned story is unpublished as I am revising it and planning to turn it into a novel-length book.

My favorite so far is when I win The Wattys 2020 Awards. It was really unexpected and I am still speechless up until now hahahaha. I've been joining The Wattys since 2017. In 2018, I've entered my story, "The Faded Spark". And I have always submitted the same story as my entry for the Wattys since that year (2018) but I didn't win so, I thought that maybe it wasn't my time. The year 2020 came and I only have one eligible story to pass, and it's TFS again. So, I submitted it again for the third time, but this time I wasn't hoping for anything. BUT WONDERFUL THINGS REALLY HAPPENS WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECTED IT! I WAS LIKE FINALLY! After three years of submitting the same story, it won! My brain almost shut down at that time, I just couldn't believe it! And after it won, series of opportunities knock on my door. It's definitely one of the greatest turning points in my life.

I simply want them to realize that they are worthy. Even though I don't know them personally, they are far away from me, I want to reach them through my words—through my stories.

Never ever lose hope. All of us came to ground zero and work hard for what we currently have now. There's no shortcut to success, so, if you feel that no one's reading your masterpiece, just patiently wait foe your right time to shine. And lastly, always treasure who sees your worth. Padayon!

For me, I would highly recommend Mary Grace by hanmariam. Well, personally, I loved the theme. It's an eye-opener for everyone (I won't spoil the plot tho hahahahaha). Plus, I also love the way she played with words, the turn of events, how I immediately entered the story's world, and how I am attached to the female lead. I just love how the story was crafted.

The perks it brings hahahahaha. Seriously, it is really a door for a lot of opportunities for a small writer like me. Also, I got connected with the people I idolized when it comes to writing. Like, I am once a fan of those writers, waiting to be recognized by them. But look where I am right now, I am with them, in the same family. It's just unbelievable!

So far, before my story won The Wattys it became a part of RomancePH's reading list 'Romantic Bliss', I have won a Love Wave contest hosted by RomancePH, The Wattys 2020 Awards, and became a part of the Stars PH Program.
