What got me into writing is the books that I read when I was young. 

It was a random discovery while I was scrolling on my Facebook account when I was 10, I think. 

Gunita! It was because I really struggled writing this one compared to By Chance which was more on the Teen Fic side. Gunita was a novel that I wrote alongside a lot of researches since it involved medicine and law as well as politics. I couldn't write a chapter without having to read a lot of books—whether it be medical or law. I was just thankful that I have a little background in medicine since I'm currently studying pre-med.

When I won the Wattys 2019 and 2020. It was very unexpected mostly because 2019 was a very hard time for me as I was living away from home to study, and Gunita was actually still on-going that time so I did not really expect to be one of the winners. By Chance was actually unexpected, too, since I just randomly had the urge to check my Wattpad account that time and then voila! I saw the message again saying that I won. 

We have voice and we can speak for the voiceless—my stories revolve around societal issues and my stand, and ever since I started taking writing seriously, I realized, I wanted to write something that delivers a message to the community and to the people that read my works. 

Never give up! Keep on writing. If people try to discourage you, do not listen to them. We all started from scratch where we do not know what to do and what to write, but that does not mean that you will not become the writer that you aspire to be.

We all have our days. You'll get there soon.

Being a part of the Stars program allowed me to be able to interact with my co-writers especially those who I have been looking up to ever since I started my Wattpad journey. And what I also like here is that it gives us many opportunities when it comes to writing.
