If Our Love Is Wrong (Villa Martinez Series #1) Special Chapter

by rejmartinez

    "Attorney Navarro."

When did I become a Navarro again? Since I married Kristoff.

And of course we were proud of our son. Toffie was just seven.

"Mommy! Daddy!" salubong sa amin ng anak namin when we arrived at their school.

Naroon na rin ang teacher niya. I smiled and greeted Toffie's adviser. He was already the top of his class at a young age. I remembered Kristoff before. While I had to study really hard at kailangan pang tutor because I wasn't as smart as him. And then I remembered tinutulungan din niya ako noong mag-aral.

There were times when Kristoff and I were still kids and I'd tell him that I was already tired of studying and that I could never be as intelligent as him. And that I couldn't do things. He would not agree to what I said and instead, minsan, kahit pagod na rin siyang mag-aral ay tutulungan pa rin niya ako.

Before I thought I was very lucky having Kristoff as my older brother. He was also my best friend kahit madalas niya akong asarin noon. He was protective of me. Palaging ako ang inuuna niya. I remembered also when I had to go home from school because I wasn't really feeling well at that time. Kristoff went home with me that day, missing his test.

Pinagalitan pa nga siya noon nina Mommy at Daddy. But he said he didn't regret it because he needed to take care of me...

Those good childhood memories together...

He just couldn't point it directly but he knew even then that I was special. To him.

I might not look at him other than my brother.

So... I think everything just really happened for a reason.

Alangan namang nangyari lang ang mga bagay? Surely there was a reason to our every tear shed... To every pain and heartache.

Well, I would say, hindi rin palaging malungkot ang buhay.

There's happiness everywhere, even despite the hard times that you're going through. Just hold on and don't easily let go. Just hang in there. Everything would be fine.

Ngiting-ngiti si Toffie sa medals niya. Tuwang-tuwa. He deserved it. He worked hard for it. Plus Kristoff was also helping him despite being busy with our job. Kristoff was a good father. I could see that. And he deserved another child.

Napangiti ako. Kristoff's reaction when I told him that we were having our second child was priceless. Ganoon din si Papa when I also told him the news.

"Toffie's school is done for now," Kristoff said.

I turned to him and nodded. "Yeah, time for vacation?"

He nodded and smiled.

Ngumiti rin ako. We made sure that we always had time for our family. I would support him with anything, as long as hindi makakasama sa kanya at sa pamilya namin.

He said maybe in the future. He said that our family was his priority. Kailangan, to make sure na healthy itong ipinagbubuntis ko. We wouldn't want to risk it. We knew that our work as lawyers could be really stressful, too.

"Can I bring this?" He showed us another thing na gusto niyang dalhin sa vacation namin.

I was preparing our luggage. Kakalabas lang naman ni Kristoff sa bathroom with his pajamas at nagpupunas ng basa niyang buhok. He went to our son and they talked.

Napangiti ako at napailing. Ang daming gustong dalhin ni Toffie. Gusto pa niyang dalhin ang toys niya at ilang books.

Ewan ko ba sa batang 'to.

"But I want to bring them, Daddy..

Kristoff sighed before he nodded.

I was smiling as I conversed with them.

The next day, I woke up to my son giving early Christmas gifts to the children here. It warmed my heart seeing my son doing it for the other children.

Napangiti na lang ako. Sa pabalik-balik namin dito, he already gained friends.

Kristoff was also helping his son distribute the old toys, clothes, and books that were taken care of. And they also started giving the meals to the kids.

Lumapit na ako sa kanila at tumulong.

Bumaling sa akin si Kristoff. "It's his idea, tukoy niya kay Toffie.

I swiftly kissed his cheek. "And you are a very supportive dad." I told him. Ngumiti ako.

Ngumiti lang din siya.

I called Toffie. "Good job!" He only giggled a bit at nakiliti rin sa halik ko. Kristoff also chuckled watching us.

Maybe our son would also be a lawyer in the future.

He knew what these kids need and he was willing to share not just his things but also his knowledge.

Our day continued with the children, Toffie's friends.

This place was where Kristoff and I really started. Saan kami unang nagkakilala bilang si Andrea at Tisoy.

I remembered how I was a bit annoyed at him then. And then slowly I softened and then we fell in love... This place was such a beauty. As beautiful as the love Kristoff and I started here.

I just laughed a bit.

"We're here again." Kristoff gave me a beautiful smile.

Ngumiti rin ako at kontentong tumango. Pinakatitigan ko siya sandali. "I love you," I told him with all my heart's content. It felt more special saying those words to him here in this place.

"I will always love you," he said as if saying his vow over again, gaya noong sa kasal din namin noon dito sa lugar na ito. Sandali niya akong hinalikan sa noo, and lovingly touched the still small baby bump on my belly.
