The following is a review of TenkosBraids's Fangan, DanganronpaLV: Despair The Musical. I will be discussing spoilers for everything in Ch. 1. Go check it out. :)

Prologue

I don't think I've seen most of these talents before. Also, Ult. Jester for the protagonist is interesting.

I read the Prologue pretty quick, so I'm going to move onto Ch. 1 now.

Chapter 1 Daily Life

So it seems there are already people in the group who don't like each other. I predict that's not going to end well.

That BDA was so gruesome. I feel bad for Aiko that she died like that.

Chapter 1 Deadly Life

If it says the victim is unknown, could Aiko have killed Aishi (the person on her card) and then is impersonating her? Or maybe that'll be a talking point during the trial and they have to prove that Aiko is actually the victim.

I think the killer is Aishi and that she killed Aiko in self defense. (Because Aiko would attack her in attempt to kill before someone kills her.)

RIP Amara. 😔 She didn't deserve to die like that.

I'm so lost right now. I have no idea who killed who and who is and isn't alive anymore.

Finished the trial. I wasn't expecting that plot twist lol.

Closing Thoughts

This is where I actually give criticism and stuff, as opposed to just a reaction.

-I enjoyed this Fangan and all the characters are pretty cool, but other than like Aiko (I think?) we didn't learn much about them. It is only Ch. 1, so I guess we'll learn more about them in the future.

-I think writing everything at once is pretty cool. You get to absorb everything at once.

Onto the criticisms. These are mostly just nitpicks and me being confused about things.

-There were a lot of times when paragraphs weren't spaced and I had trouble keeping up with my place. (Big paragraphs scary. 😨)

-I found the trial's plot twist hard to understand and I felt like the group caught onto "the swap" (for lack of me thinking of a better name) way too quickly. I feel like they should have had more time in the trial where they thought that Aiko was the true culprit.

I don't think I have much else to say. I'm interested in this fangan and I look forward to the next chapter.
