Junko: You know, it must suck sometimes to never be the original. No matter what you'll always be in someone else's shadows, unless you're these two who are way better!

Monika: Kiana Kaslana, also known as No.435 in Honkai Impact 3rd.

Junko: And Noel Vermillion, also known as Mu-12 in Blazblue!

Monika: The stage is set and the combatants are ready.

Junko: It's time for a Death Battle!

It was quiet on the moon for the longest time. As peaceful as it was, Noel Vermillion had appeared and walked along its surface.

Noel: Finally, I'm here. I heard there was a strange anomaly up here... where could it be?

She looked up at the Earth in the distance.

Kiana: Hey you!

She quickly turned around to see Kiana Kaslana standing behind her.

Kiana: (A Herrscher? ... No... she's different...) 

Noel: Huh? (This feeling... she must be the anomaly in the reports.)

Kiana: Hey, who are you? More importantly, what are you?

Noel: I um... I'm sorry. My orders are to bring you in!

Without hesitation, Noel took out Bolverk and Kiana smiled.

Kiana: Heh, bring it on but I'm not going down without a fight!

She takes out her guns too and they aim at each other.

The two were in a staredown. Noel gulps and as soon as she does, Kiana starts firing.

Noel: Woah!

Noel dodges and starts firing Bolverk in return. Kiana dodges her projectiles as time slows down but Noel is moving normally. The two girls dash at each other and get in close. Kiana blasts in her face, but Noel dodges and goes for two blasts of her own, both of which Kiana dodges as she goes for a roundhouse kick. Noel rolls under it and aims her guns but before she could, Kiana kicks at the ground and a giant cat paw made of Honkai energy came down on her. Noel jumped to the side to dodge.

Kiana: Neko, Neko~!

She went for a straight kick and sent another cat paw at her. Noel went to block with a shield, but the Honkai energy broke right through and instantly sent Noel flying. She landed on her hands and jumped to her feet.

Noel: Woah, what was that?!

Kiana dashed at her and the two started firing and dodging each other's guns.

Kiana: Is that all you got?

She summoned a baseball bat and waked her in the head with it before hitting her in the gut.

Kiana: I'm just getting started!

She goes for another swing, but Noel quickly dodges.

Noel: Optic Barrel!

She set a mark on Bolverk and fired, causing an explosion that knocked Kiana back. She then put her two guns together to form a shotgun.

Noel: Chamber Shot!

She fired but Kiana dodged and dashed at her. She goes for a kick and Noel blocks and pushes her leg to the side. She split Bolverk back into two pistols and shot at her face but Kiana dodged and went for another shot of her own. Noel dodged and both went to strike at each other, clashing and jumping back. 

Noel: Revolver Blast!

She jumps into the air and spins around, unleashing a flurry of blasts everywhere. Kiana makes a barrier to block them, but the blasts go through the barrier and strike at her.

Kiana: Geh!

Noel then jumped on top of Kiana, grabbing her by the neck with her legs.

Noel: Try and dodge this!

She flips back and uses her legs to toss Kiana up and slams her into the ground. Noel then stood up straight and aimed her gun at Kiana's head, firing downward. Kiana dodged and rolled back to her feet only for Noel to dash back at her again. 

Noel: Type Two!

She jammed her gun forward and shot a large blast, but Kiana dodged, spun behind her, and kicked her in the back.

Kiana: Too slow!

As Noel went to get up, Kiana sent a cat paw down at her. She quickly rolled back on her feet and dodged as it created a massive crater. 

Noel: Type Five!

She dashed at her and went for a shoulder tackle that Kiana immediately blocked.

Noel: Type Three!

Noel then followed it up with a flash kick that launched Kiana into the air, but Kiana caught herself with a smile and summoned Gungnir to her side.

Kiana: Get a load of this!

She fired a massive beam of energy and Noel immediately went to dodge, but was caught in the explosion and sent flying back. Kiana then landed on her feet, brushing herself off and summoning the Sword of Flamescion. Noel looks up and struggles to get to her feet.

Noel: She's... too strong. Still... I can't give up yet! Activating overdrive!

Kiana dashed at her as Noel's body burst with power. She turned Bolverk into a Gatling gun.

Noel: Fenrir! 

She started spraying bullets at her and Kiana was dodging quickly as she continued to run. She jumped up in the air and prepared her swing as Noel turned Bolverk back into two guns.

Noel: Nemesis Stabilizer!

She fired an upward shot but Kiana quickly moved her head out of the way to dodge it as she swung her sword. Noel jumped back, flying in the air and avoiding her strike.

Noel: Bullet Storm!

She rapidly fired down on her and Kiana jumped back to dodge once more as Noel landed and turned Bolverk into a rocket launcher.

Noel: Thor!

She fired the rocket and Kiana swung her sword, cutting the missile in two and smiling as it blew up behind her. She then looks up and sees Noel fire another rocket right after the first. Kiana blocked it and was being dragged back by it as Noel turned Bolverk into a railgun.

Noel: Bolverk... please!

She fired an immensely powerful energy blast at her as Kiana swatted the missile away. She saw the blast and swung her sword, cleaving through space as she clashed with the blast and created a giant explosion. Sensing Kiana was still alive, Noel created a forcefield around her and watched Kiana walk out of the rubble.

Kiana: Close, but still not good enough!

Noel: Unleashing Armagus!

Kiana dashed at her and swung the sword once more, but as soon as it made contact with the barrier, everything went black...

Noel: ... Valkyrie Vail!

She started bombarding Kiana with a garage of shots until balls of energy started to grow in the background. She then turned her back to Kiana, putting her guns together as the energy behind them erupted into a massive explosion. The explosion diminished and Noel sighed in relief.

Noel: That was a close one...

Kiana: You're acting like you've already won.

Noel: Huh?!

A gust of wind blew away the debris as Noel looked up to see Kiana Kaslana in her true form, the Herrscher of Finality. 

Kiana: So, ready to give up?

Noel: B-But... But... how did you...?

Kiana: I'm not going down that easily. Now, I don't know who you are, but it's time for you to disappear!

A bunch of portals opened up and fired spears down at Noel, who had fallen to her knees.

Noel: I... am... I... am... 

The Murokumo Unit landed right behind her as her eyes glowed blue.

Mu-12: I am Kusanagi... The destroyer of all!

The spears exploded on impact, but as they did, Noel had transformed into Mu-12 and formed a barrier around herself to block them. She then casually floated out of the flames of the explosion and looked up at Kiana.

Kiana: So this must be what you really are... an artificial creation... just like me...

Mu-12: Destruction... that is the reason for my existence.

Kiana: That so? Then I'm sorry... but I can't let you do that!

Mu-12: ... Then disappear.

She extended her hand and sent three of her blades at her, but Kiana dodged and flew at her, swinging her sword. Two more blades blocked the strike, creating a shockwave around the two. A portal then opened up and the three blades from earlier shot out of it, forcing Kiana to get back. 

Mu-12: Foolish!

She summons four Stein's Gunners that fired off lasers at her. Kiana went to dodge them all, creating guns in mid-air to fire back at Noel who flew into the air. They both then flew at each other. Kiana swung her sword as Mu-12 went for a powerful kick and they both clashed.

Mu-12: Your efforts are futile. 

Kiana: Oh yeah? We'll see about that!

A blast of electricity came from the sky as the two jumped back. Kiana then extended her hand and unleashed several massive fireballs at her. Noel created a wall of ice to block them as three portals appeared behind her. Noel glanced to see three Kiana cloned and a bunch of Honkai too. The ice then shattered as Kiana stabbed her in the back. All the Honkai did the same, stabbing her or jumping on top of her. She tried to use Phenomena Intervention to get herself out of this mess, but it wasn't working. Instead, she teleported above them, healing her wounds.

Mu-12: Chains of fate!

Noel fired a beam of light that traveled from Gunner to Gunner before blasting at all the Honkai and eradicating them. Kiana had dodged the blast and flew up to her to stab her again, but Noel teleported behind her. 

Mu-12: Life Force Blade!

She swung all eight of her swords at Kiana's back and she immediately teleported out of the way to dodge. Noel then flew at her but was immediately pushed back into a spatial construct of Kiana's creation. She formed a giant cube and smashed it into Noel to crush her, but it immediately blew up.

Mu-12: Arrows of Heaven!

She fired several balls of energy at her but Kiana dodged them all and created a barrier just in time to block a hit from Mu-12. 

Kiana: Heh! 

She shot her gun and Noel dodged as they both swung their blades, clashing and tearing through time and space, creating an explosion that knocked them back as reality shifted and they appeared in the Alter. Kiana stood up, feeling her head and looking around as Noel floated in the air.

Kiana: What... is this place...?

Mu-12: This is my Imaginary Landscape. It's where I was reborn, and where you will fall! 

Kiana: Is that so? Bring it on!

Mu-12: Sword of Decimation!

She took a blade and went for a downward slash. Kiana rolled to the side and dodged before firing multiple spears at her. She dodges and flies into the air as her Steins fly straight towards Kiana. 

Mu-12: Feel the wrath of the heavens!

As Kiana dashed towards her, the Stein's all blew up in her face, but Kiana jumped over the explosions and went for a kick that summoned a ginormous cat paw to knock Mu-12 into the air. Noel caught herself as her blades all surrounded Kiana. She looked up in the air.

Mu-12: I am the Godslayer!

She unleashed a massive pillar of light and Kiana formed a barrier to block it, but it immediately shattered and engulfed her. 

Mu-12: Blessed Mirror!

She rained down energy spears at Kiana but she immediately dodged before aiming her gun and firing a massive blast of her own. Noel blocked it but noticed her body had been taking damage.

Mu-12: (What's this?)

Kiana jumped up and went for a kick. Noel went for one of her own and the two clashed, knocking each other back. 

Mu-12: Enough of this!

Kiana found herself trapped within a barrier as Noel flew into the air.

Kiana: What?

Mu-12: Seven Generations of the Age of the Gods... The world that God created... Everything is a lie, everything is an excuse...

She summoned eight massive blades above her as Kiana started to break out of the barrier.

Mu-12: The final days have come... Now, let everything be destroyed!

Kiana: Not on my watch!

As Noel sent the blades down, Kiana broke out of the barrier and unleashed eight massive blades of her own, sending them flying upwards and clashing with Noel's. The results caused another massive explosion, destroying the surrounding area. Kiana flies above Noel, who looks up and fires a massive ball of energy.

Mu-12: It's over!

Kiana used the Edge of Taixuan's Eminence to fire a massive blade of energy that pierced straight through Noel's projectile. Noel created a shield to block it as the area around her shattered. Her barrier immediately crumbled as she was completely engulfed and incinerated. The blast had completely destroyed her entire body and broke through her dimension as Kiana landed in the Cocoon of Finality. She brushed herself off with a smile and gave herself a victory pose.

Kiana: Done and done!

Junko: Holy hell, should have saved this for the finale or something!

Monika: This one was not an easy choice to make as both of them had counters to just about anything the other could throw at them. They were even capable of some of the same stuff.

Junko: Time manipulation, reality manipulation, mind control, dimensional travel, the list goes on. They were just as resistant to this type of stuff too. What's even more surprising is that the battle itself definitely could have gone both ways. So let's go over some stuff. 

Monika: First, Phenomena Intervention was never going to work on someone like Kiana. It's true that it gave Noel a ton of hax, but if it couldn't be determined that the target couldn't exist, then the phenomena would be impossible to intervene with. With the Herricher of the Void's ability to turn things imaginary, including herself, she had the perfect counter to Noel's Interventions.

Junko: Kiana resetting time won't work either. Not only are both of them immune to time manipulation in the first place, but Noel's Azure can nullify reality-warping abilities like Phenomena Intervention and the Will of Order, giving her no trouble to nullify that too.

Monika: But what set them apart is the fact that they're both really hard to kill. Noel is even harder to kill than Kiana.

Junko: Right. Both of them are essentially immortal gods with Kiana's healing factor and all. So whatever happened to that?

Monika: Well... it became a non-factor.

Junko: I'm sorry, what?

Monika: A reminder that Nox Nyctores were made to kill beings that exist outside of logic like the Black Beast. They can even damage the soul and create wounds that can't be healed even through reality warping.

Junko: Yeah? So what? Noel has a way to completely bypass Kiana's healing factor and Kiana still has no way of bypassing Noel's layers of immortality.

Monika: Well, yes and no. Remember the Herrischer of Reason? With that power, Kiana can analyze and replicate anything her power comes into contact with down to the fundamental logic of their existence, and even apply this to her own body. This type of power makes Noel's weapons and even Noel herself a double-edged sword.

Junko: Oh right, Noel has the eyes of the Azure, essentially making her a living weapon. Even Ragna's dollar tree knockoff, the Azure Grimoire, is capable of erasing people from existence regardless of their immortality. Theoretically, Kiana can replicate this ability onto herself. It's not too hard to think of since other Blazblue characters have done the same.

Monika: Still, now that we know both can kill each other, the question remains who can deliver the finishing blow first?

Junko: Both can get to similar speeds and the same goes for their strength

Monika: Durability is a nonfactor since both can bypass it. Experience is also a nonfactor. Yes, Kiana definitely has more experience, but they're both comparable to characters with far more experience than them, like Fu Hua who's 50,000 years old, and Rachel Alucard who experienced 72,500 years worth of time loops.

Junko: So all that's left is raw power, which Kiana has in spades.

Monika: Right. The only thing Noel has that comes close to Kiana's power is Doomsday, which can destroy the Boundary and Embryo. But while this ability could even kill Kiana herself, it's an ability that takes a lot of time before it destroys everything and everyone. In the meantime, Kiana has a lot more in her arsenal that can cause a lot of destruction in a shorter amount of time. Even if their speeds were similar, it was only a matter of time before Noel would eventually be overwhelmed.

Junko: Finally, the 3rd Blazblue protag lost in a blazing impact!

- Connections: The core connections between Kiana and Noel are that both are the central female video game protagonists of post-apocalyptic settings who are artificial clones of young innocent girls (the real Kiana and Saya, respectively), created in a lab and developed for the purpose of fighting against outer-dimensional forces of their worlds (the Will of Honkai and Original Units, respectively). Both are also the host to an alternate personality with a dark history (Sirin and Mu-12, respectively), who wields powers that originate from radioactive energy that has corrupted their worlds (Honkai energy and Seithr, respectively) and gives them connections to a complex cosmologic space that connects infinite timelines and worlds in their respective universes together (the Imaginary Tree and the Boundary, respectively), and thus a ludicrously powerful ability which bends spacetime to their whims (Imaginary Space and Phenomenon Intervention, respectively).
