Ann: Normally a city-boy, Yu Narukami was a highschooler who was to transfer to the countryside of a small town called Inaba. Living with his uncle and adorable little cousin, everything seemed to be going alright.

Junko: Yeah, Yu even made some new friends in Chie and Yosuke. But one day, accidentally found themselves popping into the TV. They met my favorite cartoon bear Teddie... and after leaving said world...

Junko: Yeah, a little crush Yosuke had died. Turns out she was in the TV world before they were.

Kokonoe: Turns out the TV world is a dangerous place filled with monsters called shadows lurked at every corner. And after rescuing Chie's friend, Yukiko, Yu realized that someone was out there throwing people into this world to get them killed.

Ann: And so, with his friends by his side, Yu decided to take his Investigation Team and try to stop whoever is the culprit.

Junko: Yeah, there's literally no reason for worry. After all, he has the perfect skills to deal with all the monsters.

Ann: Yeah, Yu's weapon of choice is his sword!

Ann: Yu is an incredibly skilled swordsman, capable of taking on better trained fighters like Mitsuru Kirijo and Sho. He's fully capable of using blunt or bladed weapons, but he much prefers his katanas.

Kokonoe: Yu is a naturally born leader and expert strategist. Even his detective skills are comparable to that of Naoto and Ren, who are incredibly skilled in their own right.

Ann: Part of this could be thanks to True Sight, which let's him see through illusions and tell truths from lies.

Junko: Who cares about that? Let's talk about the good stuff! Like how this guy uses a Persona!

Kokonoe: A Persona is the manifestation of one's personality and normally takes the form of a mythological creature.

Junko: Normally people can only summon one Persona, but Yu has the Wildcard so he can summon way more than one!

(Due to technical issues, we'll be underlining the names of the Persona)

Ann: His main Persona is Izanagi!

Ann: Izanagi is stronger, faster, and more durable than Yu himself. It carries a Zodiac Spear and has plenty of magic.

Junko: Yeah, Izanagi can increase Yu's strength and decrease the enemies. It can also increase both Yu and its own strength and fire giant blasts of electricity.

Kokonoe: Izanagi can block dark attacks and resist electric attacks, but is weak to wind attacks.

Ann: Then there's his other Persona, Mada.

Junko: Mada can manipulate fire and increase Yu's evasion over ice. It can also make Status Ailments 1.5 times more effective. And in case it wasn't clear, it can absorb fire and is weak to ice.

Kokonoe: Scathath can control wind and ice. It can cure Status Ailments and make magic attacks 250% greater in power. It can also absorb ice and block wind, but is weak to fire.

Junko: Isis is also a Persona of his. This one can heal Yu as well as manipulate ice. It sometimes repels physical attacks and can repel or absorb ice attacks but it's weak to Electricity.

Ann: Then we have Odin!

Ann: This naked guy with a spear can control electricity and wind! It can also slightly heal Yu and make his magic power 250% stronger! Oh, it can also strengthen its own wind attacks and absorb wind attacks from others! It blocks electricity and is weak to fire!

Junko: And then there's Kohryu!

Junko: Yes, I know. A freaking dragon that can revive Yu's allies and completely heal Yu himself! It can cure Ailments and control electricity. It can also strengthen its electric attacks, reflect its opponents electric attacks, and block light attacks!

Kokonoe: Then there's Ishtar, a beautiful woman who can heal Yu, cure ailments, and fire electricity. It can block electric attacks and absorb wind attacks but is still weak to wind attacks.

Junko: Then there's Futsunushi, a floating man with 9 floating swords. It mostly uses physical attacks but can make said attacks 250% more powerful. It also blocks physical attacks but is weak to dark ones.

Ann: And Sraosha!

Ann: A man... thing that can make a bunch of light based attacks! It has one called Mahamaon: Light, which has a 40% chance of instantly killing the enemy! And another called Megidolaon, which deals a ton of Almighty damage! Oh, it can also fire electricity and increase Yu's chances of dodging attacks! It reflects light attacks, blocks electricity, and is weak to dark attacks!

Junko: After that, there's Ongyo-Ki! This guy holds a... two headed scythe? Not sure what to call it. But it can manipulate electricity and increases Yu's chances of getting a good hit! It can block electricity and darkness, absorb wind, but is weak to light!

Ann: After that is Norn!

Ann: This clock Persona can inflict heavy winds! It can increase Yu's speed and decrease his opponents attack, defense, and agility! It can also heal Yu and get rid of any ailments! It can absorb wind, block darkness, and resist ice but is weak to electricity.

Kokonoe: Then there's Zaou-Gongen, a Persona that can control flames and increase Yu's physical and Almighty attacks. It can also increase his agility and fire damage by 50%. It can reflect fire and is weak to electricity.

Junko: Then there's Mahakala!

Junko: This thing has six swords and three faces! It can strengthen physical attacks and its own magic power by 250%! It can also strengthen its flames by 50% and can use Mamudoon: Darkness which has a 40% chance of instantly killing his opponents! It reflects electricity, absorbs fire, and blocks darkness!

Kokonoe: And then there's Vishnu. This Persona can do severe ice damage and heavy physical attacks. It can fire a giant fist from the heavens and has an Almighty attack. It can also make physical attacks 250% stronger. It blocks ice and light attacks and is weak to fire.

Ann: There's Beelzebub!

Ann: A giant bug that can manipulate ice and electricity! It has a 30% chance of confusing the enemy or enervating them! It also has Mamudoon: Darkness! It can absorb ice and block darkness but is weak to fire!

Kokonoe: He has Shiva, a Persona that can control electricity and wind. It can do severe Almighty damage and use Pralaya, a physical attack which has a 50% chance of killing the target. It can reflect electricity and absorb ice.

Ann: Then there's Helel!

Ann: One of Yu's stronger Persona, it can cause heavy wind and fire attacks and severe physical attacks. It also has two Almighty attacks, one of which sends a star down from space! Oh, it can also heal Yu and cure ailments. It's resistant to physical damage, blocks fire, light, and dark attacks, but is weak to wind.

Junko: Then there's Sandalphon! A Persona that has a 40% insta-kill attack, can deal heavy physical damage, heal and receive allies, cure ailments, and deal heavy physical damage! It can block wind attacks and reflect light attacks! And it can sometimes repel dark attacks that it's weak to!

Kokonoe: After that is Asura.

Kokonoe: Another Persona with six arms and three heads, this one is a great physical fighter. It can increase Yu's defense and prevents rage, fear, confusion, silence, and enveration. It has a 20% chance of repelling physical attacks and a 40% chance of instantly killing the enemy by light. It's resistant to ice, blocks fire and light... but is weak to wind.

Junko: My favorite though is Lucifer!

Ann: I wonder why...

Junko: This thing can do some heavy ice damage and severe physical damage! It can resist physical attacks, heal Yu, block darkness, and repel light that it's weak to!

Ann: Well my favorite Persona is Izanagi-no-Okami!

Ann: Yu's final and most powerful Persona! This thing was used to defeat the God, Izanami!

Junko: It can unleash fire, ice, lightning, and wind attacks! It can amplify them too!

Kokonoe: It also has an Almighty attack, completely heal Yu, and is resistant to physical attacks as well as fire, ice, electric, and wind attacks.

Ann: But it's most powerful attack has to be the Myriad Truth!

Ann: A one hit kill move that temporarily makes Yu Invulnerable as Izanagi fires divine, explosive lightning from the heavens!

Kokonoe: Yu's use of the Wildcard has been compared to both Aigis and Ren.

Junko: One who is a literal Shadow-killing robot who fought the avatar of Death itself on two separate occasions.

Ann: And the other whose strongest Persona sent a bullet through... well... an Igor wannabe. Yeah, Yu fought and matched both of them. Hell, he's even fought himself!

Kokonoe: Yu has taken on his fair share of gods and monsters. But that doesn't make him a God himself.

Kokonoe: Compared to Makoto and Ren, he has been considered by most fans to be the weakest of the three.

Ann: Yeah, plus Yu does share the same pain and weaknesses as the Persona he summons. And a majority of those Persona have elemental weaknesses.

Kokonoe: But with the Investigation Team by his side, Yu always finds a way to pull through.

Yu: People can do it. As long as they can open their eyes and look around, they'll see it. They'll see the truth!
