Kokonoe: In the small town of Foosha village, the Red-Haired Pirates went to take a visit. That's where their captain, Shanks, met a young boy named Monkey D.Luffy.

Junko: Luffy was only six years old at this time and already wanted to sail with them. He tried to prove he had what it took to hang with them. And proved it by... trying to stab his own eye. Jesus Christ! Talk about trying to earn street cred!

Kokonoe: One day, after picking a fight with some bandits, Luffy was attacked by a giant Sea King... in the middle of the ocean... and unable to swim. He was lucky that Shanks managed to save him, sacrificing his own arm in the process.

Ann: Luffy felt a lot of regret after that, but Shanks cheered him up. Lending him his hat and telling Luffy to only give it back once he's become a great pirate.

Kokonoe: An so, ten years later, Luffy went out to sea. Building up his own crew, he set sail to obtain the One Piece and become... King of the Pirates.

Junko: Fast forward to the present and Luffy is already so close to his goal! He's already become incredibly strong!

Junko: Don't let his small physical stature fool you. By the time he was only 17, he was already strong enough to one-shot giant sea monsters!

Kokonoe: At that same age, he managed to knock back Laboon, a gigantic whale over 400 meters long, and fought Enel with a Golden ball molded around his hand.

Junko: Nowadays he's capable of clashing with old guys who can split an entire ice continent in half with a headbutt or even punch Doffy so hard he destroyed Dressrosa! He's already as strong as Zoro, and both Zoro and Doffy can easily destroy island-busting meteors!

Kokonoe: When he was imprisoned in Wano Country, he wore Seastone handcuffs that significantly weakened him. He exploited his prison labor as a new training method to get stronger in his weakened state. Now he's strong and fast enough to even contend with Yonko level pirates like Kaido and Big Mom.

Ann: But strength isn't the only thing on his side. He's also really fast.

Ann: Luffy possesses tremendous speed, agility, and reflexes. When he fought Blueno and Rob Lucci on Enies Lobby, Luffy was able to keep up with their incredibly fast Soru movements even without using the massive speed boost of his Gear Second form! When battling Dracule Mihawk in the Summit War of Marineford, he was able to dodge the strikes of the world's greatest swordsman, including ducking under one that completely cleaved through a faraway glacier!

Junko: And after a three-year timeskip, Luffy managed to dodge beams of light and call them slow! He even managed to keep up with Big Mom!

Kokonoe: Big Mom is fast enough to clash with Marco, a phoenix man who can move so fast he can keep up with Kizuru, a being literally made of light. And Luffy managed to move past both her and Kaido faster than either of them could react.

Junko: Let's not forget he's incredibly durable.

Kokonoe: Luffy has shown the ability to take massive amounts of physical punishment but still remain conscious and able to fight. As a child, Luffy was brutally beaten by Porchemy's spiked gloves to get information out of him, but Luffy took the beating without revealing anything.

Ann: He was poisoned in the Alabasta Kingdom by Crocodile's poison hook, but remained conscious long enough to defeat the Warlord. He took multiple blows from Foxy's spiked gloves but did not fall. And most notably, during his fight with Charlotte Katakuri in the Mirro-World, Luffy fought for over 9 hours and received significantly more blows than he gave, including being gruesomely pierced in the side by Katakuri's trident Mogura, but he was able to keep standing up until Katakuri went down.

Junko: And during his first encounter with Kaidou, the Emperor's might was so immense that he could knock out Luffy with a single strike of his mace! But after training in the Prisoner Mine and confronting Kaidou again, Luffy managed to emerge conscious and without serious injury after being struck by the same attack.

Kokonoe: Right. Another thing we should bring up is, thanks to his insane willpower and durability, Luffy has immense endurance. As a child, he developed endurance when his grandfather put him through various training methods.

Junko: Including throwing him into a bottomless ravine, leaving him alone in a jungle at night, and tieing him to balloons sending him flying to the sky! All to make him a strong marine... screw that! I wanna be a pirate! Oh, this was all while Luffy was still seven or six years old by the way. And even after that, he was still having dangerous adventures with his brothers, Ace and Sabo.

Ann: But by far his most noteworthy feat was surviving exposure to an incurable amount of poison after fighting Magellan in Impel Down. When brought before Emporio Ivankov, Luffy was given hormones to give him the chance to fight for his life for two and a half days at the cost of his lifespan. He not only successfully fought to stay alive but returned to consciousness in just 20 hours. Then with the help of Ivankov's Tension Hormones and his willpower, Luffy was able to keep fighting through Impel Down immediately after his near-death experience, and continued fighting at Marineford with little rest in between until his body eventually gave out for... well... shocking reasons...

Kokonoe: Luffy also demonstrated his endurance at Whole Cake Island, as he battled Charlotte Cracker for 11 hours without resting, using Gear Fourth at least twice. He then proceeded to get heavily beaten by his crewmate Sanji, but when a Big Mom Pirates army arrived soon after to take him down, Luffy fought hard for a considerable period of time, before ultimately being knocked out. After being temporarily frozen in time in a book prison, Luffy singlehandedly made his way out of the Whole Cake Chateau and beat up every enemy he encountered, despite still being extremely weak from fatigue and hunger, the latter of which he refused to address until Sanji returned to him.

Junko: This was right before he fought Katakuri for 9 hours by the way. But enough about his insane physical abilities. Let's talk about his insane devil fruit powers!

Kokonoe: Right. As a kid, Luffy ate the Gomu-Gomu No Mi or the Gum-Gum Fruit. This caused Luffy to permanently turn his body into rubber, meaning his body can stretch, bend, bounce, inflate, and twist like rubber, even when nullified.

Ann: It also gives Luffy immunity to electricity and blunt damage, including hand-to-hand combat, blunt weapons, bullets, and even cannonballs, all of which will just bounce off from his skin. Situations like falls from great heights and heavy collisions that would kill a normal person end up not being lethal or even painful, and certain traps and hazards are rendered ineffective considering Luffy's enhanced flexibility.

Junko: This guy's already developed a high resistance to heat and poison!

Kokonoe: Thanks to Luffy's own creativity, both in and out of combat, this fruit has consistently proven itself to be among the most formidable, versatile, and unpredictable within the Paramecia class. Luffy's ability to stretch and twist like rubber to extreme lengths not only makes him immune to injuries that originate from such, but it also allows him to rebound, which can give him a great advantage in and out of battle. Stretching also allows Luffy to drastically increase the range of what would otherwise be considered a powerful close-range attack, turning it into a devastating mid-range or long-range attack. A stretched limb can also be used to store potential energy like a stretched spring, increasing the velocity by stretching his arm back resulting in increased power.

Ann: Luffy has also shown a limited ability to move in mid-air, by grabbing onto something with an extended limb and pulling himself away from what could have been a fatal attack. This gives Luffy the option of several jumping and airborne attacks that would have been disadvantageous to most other people.

Kokonoe: And after having his fruit for years, he's developed a lot of uses for it... I mean a lot...

Junko: Hey, think we can hit three parts with this?

Kokonoe: God I hope not...

Ann: Anyway, what I love about this fruit is that a lot of Luffy's attacks are named after guns! Like his signature attack... Gomu Gomu no Pistol!

Ann: Where he stretches his arm back then throws a devastating punch!

Kokonoe: In other words, it is a standard straight punch, augmented with stretching. This attack can be used from short to long-range. Luffy would typically increase the striking reach of fist by 'charging up' by means of first repeatedly swinging his un-stretched punching arm around before using the spinning force to both stretch his arm to its limits, and to maximize the hitting power.

Junko: He also has another version called the Gomu-Gomu no Pistol Shot! Which starts off as an ordinary Pistol attack, after which Luffy "twangs" his stretched arm, causing his fist to connect multiple times!

Ann: Then there's the Gomu-Gomu no Bullet. Where Luffy stretches one arm, far behind him while running, then snaps it back to deliver a short-distance, one-fisted powerful blow to an opponent!

Kokonoe: The Gomu-Gomu no Rifle is similar to the Gomu-Gomu no Bullet, but Luffy twists his arm around as he stretches it behind him and hits the opponent at close range, massively increasing the velocity of the punch as twisting the arm stretches the arm even further without having to draw it back any longer which also saves the amount of time the kick-back takes.

Ann: After that is the Gomu-Gomu no Bazooka!

Ann: Where Luffy stretches both his arms far back, and then hurls them forward, striking his opponent with both instantaneously with a double open palm strike with both hands, that frequently sends the recipient flying off the other direction!

Junko: This is usually used as a finishing move, he often prefers to do it at point-blank range, sometimes running up to his opponent as he's charging it.

Ann: And let's not forget about Gomu-Gomu no Gatling Gun!

Ann: Luffy uses his stretching ability to bring his fists forward repeatedly in a blurry, rapid barrage of strong punches that creates the illusion of him having multiple arms!

Kokonoe: There's Gomu-Gomu no Cannon where Luffy builds up speed and momentum with a long series of quick punches similar to Gomu Gomu no Gatling, stopping just short of the target at first, and finishing with a single double-palm blow similar to Bazooka. A powerful technique that can pierce strong armor, and, in combination with Zoro's Three-Swords Style, is devastating enough to puncture a hole through a massive tidal wave.

Ann: And Gomu-Gomu no Bow Gun! Where he takes ahold of his opponent from behind, Luffy repeatedly twists his torso vertically around his hips before grasping them with his feet and then rapidly untwisting, creating a snapback that sends his opponent flying upwards!

Junko: He has other weapon themed attacks like the Gomu-Gomu no Ono!

Junko: Luffy stretches one leg high into the air, then brings it crashing down via a high-gravity stomp on an opponent or structure, for massive damage, strong enough to destroy large buildings and ships in a single hit!

Kokonoe: Usually when Luffy executes this attack, after stretching out his leg, he brings his foot down immediately below him, however sometimes he keeps his leg extended and brings it down, like a vertical version of Gomu Gomu no Muchi.

Ann: Oh, that's where he stretches his leg and kicks in a wide circle, striking multiple foes!

Kokonoe: There's Gomu-Gomu no Yami, where Luffy holds his feet together, with the bottoms of each touching each other, and kicks with both simultaneously via his toes, giving off the image of an actual spearhead. There are instances where this attack is also sometimes performed via his two feet stomping on his target's face, making it akin to a two-legged Gomu Gomu no Stamp which works somewhat similar to it.

Junko: Then there's Gomu Gomu no Tsuchi! Where he stretches out his arms while twisting them, and then takes hold of his opponent! He then untwists them, rapidly spinning his opponent, while bringing him crashing to the floor!

Kokonoe: The Gomu-Gomu no Ozuchi is very similar to this. But this one he performs it using the feet and legs instead of hands and arms while in mid-air. He performed this while he was trapped inside Krieg's net, sending the latter crashing into Baratie's front porch.

Ann: There's the Gomu Gomu no Kama where he grabs an object behind his opponent and pulls himself towards them. He then stretches out his other arm and clotheslines his opponent.

Junko: Then the Gomu Gomu no Kama, which is identical but he uses both arms for the rocket and the clotheslining!

Kokonoe: *phew* Now we can-

Junko: But wait! There's more! Like the Gomu-Gomu no Kane! Where he latches onto his opponent and stretches his neck backward! He then snaps it back for a devastating head butt to the opponent's face.t!

Ann: Or the Gomu-Gomu no Baku Baku, where he stretches his mouth wide open and attempts to bite or swallow his opponent. This attack was named after and copied from Wapol's Baku Baku no Mi powers.

Junko: There's the Gomu-Gomu no Marunoko where he grabs his opponent from afar with both arms and winds himself up like with a bow gun. He then kicks off from the ground and spins towards his opponent to deliver a powerful head butt.

Ann: There's the Gomu-Gomu no Fussen. A defensive technique wherein Luffy inflates himself rapidly through his mouth. With his inflated body, Luffy is capable of deflecting projectile attacks back at his attackers.

Kokonoe: Then there's the Gomu-Gomu no Kazan. It's similar to the Gomu Gomu no Ono, except Luffy's foot is stretched upwards to break through a roof, and is not followed by a stomp like Gomu Gomu no Ono. In some instances, it is often the starting technique for the upward version of Gomu Gomu no Storm.

Ann: Gomu-Gomu no Storm is an extremely powerful move and is easily one of Luffy's strongest attacks. Luffy first uses Gomu Gomu no Fussen and twists his body around tightly, then blows the air out behind him while untwisting to fly in forward while spinning towards an opponent, where he delivers a constant barrage of powerful punches similar to Gomu Gomu no Gatling, with power greatly enhanced by the momentum of his launch. This technique can be used going sideways, upwards towards airborne targets, and downwards while Luffy is airborne.

Kokonoe: He's got the Gomu-Gomu no Ame where he jumps into the air and performs a strong, rapid-fire punching attack while spinning. Similar to Gomu Gomu no Storm, except without inflating himself beforehand, and he punches while descending like rain.

Junko: There's the Gomu Gomu no Hanabi! Luffy jumps into the air and spins around rapidly! He then stretches and wraps himself in his own arms and legs like a rubber ball! When the rubber rebounds and the 'ball' is unwrapped he unleashes a flurry of punches and kicks of increased speed, that go in every direction due to his fists and feet bouncing back and forth!

Kokonoe: How many more do we have...?

Ann: Well, there's the Gomu Gomu no Tako.

Kokonoe: And what does that do?

Ann: It makes his arms and legs go limp... like an octopus... yeah it's kinda useless...

Junko: But luckily he upgraded to the Gomu Gomu no Tako Hanabi!

Junko: Much like Gomu Gomu no Hanabi except, due to the previous move, Gomu Gomu no Tako, his limbs bounce off of walls without losing speed. Because his limbs are limp, Luffy cannot predict or control where they will go if they ricochet off of an object, much less the unlucky opponent's.

Ann: He's got Gomu Gomu no Boh, which turns him into a mindless idiot to dodge attacks... though he can't attack in this state.

Junko: But don't worry, he has other defensive abilities. Like the Gomu Gomu no Tate, where he grabs the fingers of one hand with the other and stretches them before his face to block blades that pass between the fingers.

Ann: And the Gomu Gomu no Ami, where Luffy entwines his fingers making a net-like shape and then stretches out his fingers making a larger net in an attempt to trap his opponents.

Junko: There's the Gomu-Gomu no Snake Shot!

Junko: Luffy moves his arm in a snake-like fashion and grips the enemy, possibly inflicting piercing damage.

Ann: And the Gomu-Gomu no UFO

Ann: Where he rotates his lower half of the body to act as a helicopter and levitate in the air!

Junko: We're not even close to done yet! We didn't even get to the improvised-

Kokonoe: NO! No no no! If I hear Gomu Gomu no ONE more time I'm gonna snap!

Ann: Oof... I think Kokonoe finally snapped...

Junko: Then let's Gomu-Gomu no get out of here so we can Gomu Gomu no finish this in the second part... unless we Gomu Gomu no make part thre-

*Kokonoe threw a chair and the camera shut off
