Kokonoe: Formerly known as Jardani Jovonovich, John Wick was once an infamous hitman who had ties to the Russian mafia. He eventually left the life of a criminal to start a new, more peaceful one with his wife.

Junko: But like any story, that all goes to hell when she gets cancer and leaves him with nothing but her dog. Luckily he and that dog get along pretty well. Or should I say got along! Someone eventually broke into his house and fuckin' murdered that lil pup! Anyone ever noticed dogs die in stories more than cats?

Kokonoe: As it should be. Anyway, John was definitely overcome with grief. So he did what anyone would do and went to seek revenge.

Ann: And he's got the skill to boot! He's super strong and fast!

Kokonoe: He's broken bones several times with little effort and even got back up after getting ran over by a car.

Junko: Oh please, the guys been stabbed and shot multiple times and can still move like it was nothing! He's dodged bullets, killed 6 people in 2 or 3 seconds, and even kept up with and killed skilled assassins and hitman! One time he even killed a guy with his hands tied!

Kokonoe: Add that to the fact he survived an explosion from a rocket launcher and fought his rival, Cassian, to a standstill after getting shot a whole bunch, fighting through a bunch of a soldiers, getting hit by a car, and getting stabbed in the chest.

Ann: His main fighting style is a healthy combination of Judo, Jiu Jitsu, Sambo, and MMA. He uses some Aikido as well and implores some open hand strikes reminiscent of Jeet Kune Do.

Kokonoe: Which makes sense considering the series' fight coordinator was trained by one of Bruce Lee's students.

Ann: He also uses my favorite martial arts, Gun-fu, where he makes openings for himself to shoot amidst grapples and strike, his Center Axis Relock stance makes this work really well!

Junko: Oh yeah, John's got some marine training too since he has apart of the marines. Given his tattoo and tactical skills, it's likely Wick was part of MARSOC, which means he likely would've received H2H combat training from the Marines.

Kokonoe: Marines Martial Arts Program uses techniques from Wrestling, Boxing, Savate, Krav Maga, Isshin-Ryu Karate, Muay Thai, Hapkido, Eskrima, Taekwondo, Kung Fu, Sayoc Kali, and Kickboxing.

Junko: And John Wick uses anything he can get his hands on like bottles and a pencil! A FUCKING PENCIL!

Ann: What's even more impressive is his suit!

Kokonoe: It's anything but an ordinary suit. It's actually cutting edge body armor. There's actually Silicone carbide disk matrix woven beneath the suit as its completely bullet proof with zero penetration and resistant to slashing and stabbing.

Junko: Speaking of stabbing, he has a knife!

Junko: This 8.3" blade is easily concealable for stealth attacks and can be incorporated into close quarters combat as well as his shooting stance!

Kokonoe: He's got plenty more weapons than that though. Go ahead Ann, you can talk about guns.

Ann: Yes! Well first I'll start with his primary handgun! The Heckler & Koch P30L!

Ann: A semi-automatic pistol that shoots 9x19mm rounds with 15 round mags. John also has a custom compensator on his. Not only that, but he has a backup handgun! The Glock 26!

Ann: This Subcompact Pistol also fires 9x19 rounds this time with 10 round mags and is easily concealable!

Junko: He's even got a Glock 34, which has 17 round mags.

Ann: And his Smith & Wesson SW1911SC!

Ann: It's another semi-automatic pistol that shoots 45 ACP rounds with 20 mags.

Kokonoe: John has some sort of super suppressor attached that is so silent that no one notices him and Cassian shooting it out in a busy subway station.

Junko: Then there's the Kimber Warrior. Dumb name for a gun but it was given to him by The Bowery King. It shoots 45 ACP rounds with 7 round mags!

Ann: And the Benelli M4 Super 90!

Ann: A tactical semi-automatic shotgun that shoots 12 gauge slugs and a 7 shell capacity! It also has a fixed stock!

Junko: Then there's the Kel-Tec KSG!

Ann: a Pump-Action shotgun that fires 12 gauge slugs. It has dual tube magazines that carry 12-15 shells!

Kokonoe: John also has an EOTtech sight on it.

Ann: Let's not forget his CA-415.

Ann: An Assault Rifle that fires 5.56x45mm rounds. It has 30 round mags and can shoot in semi and fully automatic firing modes!

Kokonoe: John's rifle has a shorted barrel and vertical foregrip. It also has EOTech 553 holographic sight.

Ann: After that is the TR-1 AR-15!

Ann: A semi-automatic assault rifle that fires 5.56x45mm rounds and has a 35 round capacity thanks to the extended PMAGS he uses for this gun!

Kokonoe: He's still human at the end of the day, and though his armor offers zero penetration, bullet impacts are still painful. It can also be stabbed through with enough force.

Ann: And he's arguably... somewhat reckless.

Junko: I mean most of his plans boil down to him shooting his way through all the bad guys.

Ann: Or... you know... stabbing them with a pencil.

Junko: A goddame pencil... no wonder they call this man The Reaper.
