Junko: It doesn't take a genius to know that Todoroki's family is... kinda broken.

Ann: Wait, where's Kokonoe?

Junko: She's late. Don't worry about it.

Ann: I see... Anyway, you are right about that. His father, Endeavor, really wanted to be better than All Might. And if he couldn't, he'll just make sure his offspring did. So he had three kids with the fourth being Todoroki, his perfect combination of ice and fire.

Junko: That's four freaking kids an a lot of sex! What could go wrong?!

Ann: Um, traumatizing your wife to the point that she accidentally burns that perfect child with hot water.

Junko: Oooh... right. It's almost funny actually. Todoroki wasn't even the first kid big pappy tried to force his expectations on. The first was Toya Todoroki and unlike Shoto, Toya was willing to prove himself to his dad.

Ann: Yeah, and he was good, but a little too good. His fire was literally burning him up. So his dad pretty much gave up on him. This broke Toya, to the point where he even attacked Shoto for basically replacing him.

Junko: The mom tried to tell 'em to give up on it, but that only made things worse. And after that burn on Shoto, someone else ended up burning alive, literally! Endeavor only found that kids jaw and assumed he was dead!

Ann: But of course, Toya was alive. And he made it his destiny to not only destroy his family, but the entire Hero Society... dying his hair black, Toya was no more and he was now Blueflame... a.k.a... Dabi.

Junko: And he's really good at getting the job done!

Ann: He's a very keen individual, observant of everything around him whether he's reading someone's intentions or weaknesses.

Junko: (Teacher) Dabi is also known for psychologically engaging enemies, questioning their motives and morality during combat. This is an entirely tactical maneuver for buying time since it complements Dabi's weakness of his flames hurting his own body over time.

Ann: And speaking of his flames, his quirk is Cremation!

Ann: This move allows him to manipulate fire. But unlike his dad, Dabi uses blue flames which are much more powerful than regular.

Junko: These flames specifically burn at 2,000°C or 3,632°F. This makes it hotter than even lava! He can ignite blue fire anywhere on his body with minimal effort or movement almost instantaneously! He can also combust anything he touches almost instantly, including robust minerals and living creatures alike! For example, by touching a single tree in The Beast's Forest, Dabi was able to set the majority of the forest ablaze, trapping everyone there in a ring of fire!

Ann: Dabi primarily uses his Quirk to fight from a distance and burn his enemies using waves of fire and flamethrowers. He can also release a short burst of flames for roasting his targets at close range.

Junko: Yeah, Dabi uses his Quirk tactically, creating walls of fire to trap his targets within a fixed area or to propel himself in midair through the soles of his feet. Though he often relies on the brute force of his powerful Quirk to overwhelm his enemies.

Ann: Some of his attacks include the Flashfire Fist!

Ann: Endeavor's signature move passed down to Dabi himself. Dabi raises his fire's temperature to its highest level and maximizes his power. Doing so, Dabi can unleash devastating flame attacks or increase his speed dramatically.

Junko: He also Flashfire Fist- Jet Burn!

Junko: Like his pappy, Dabi unleashes a powerful blast of fire at the enemy, although unlike him, Dabi only shoots his fire rather than punching toward his opponent.

Ann: And finally, Prominence Burn, which allows Dabi to launch a massive, concentrated beam of fire from his entire body that is able to vaporize his target.

Junko: Sad to say though, his quirk has some major drawbacks.

Ann: Right. Dabi got his mother's genes, making him highly resistant to ice attacks. But this means he doesn't have that much resistance against his own fire. This prevents him from fighting prolonged battles and severely limits his endurance. As stated by Dabi upon overusing his Quirk, prolonged usage of it causes him to lose sensation in his body and possibly completely render himself numb.

Junko: I remember that feeling. I stabbed my hand over and over again until I couldn't feel a thing... don't try that at home kids!

Ann: His flames are also tied to his emotions. Losing control of his emotions will cause his flames to run wild or ignite hotter than his body can handle.

Junko: But considering he's still one of the top villains here, I don't think he's gonna worry about that anytime soon.

Dabi: You were finally number one! It's all you ever wanted! But it must've weighed on you, right?! Or was all that praise and admiration chicken soup for your soul?! When, at long last, you could stare your kids in the eye, didja finally start to feel the warm and fuzzy bonds of family?! You must've thought, 'As long as I face the future, I can be better!'
