Junko: Yeah, I dunno why, but guys with fire can be real dicks sometimes. Still, even they can get nice things. Take Firelord Ozai for example.

Ann: Are you referring to his wife?

Junko: What? No, I'm talking about his kids! Well, one in particular. Not Zuko though... that kid was lucky to be born. Azula on the other hand was born her daddy's lucky little girl!

Kokonoe: Right, Azula's parents weren't exactly the best at... well... being parents. Ozai favored Azula, while her mother, Ursa, gave most of her love to Zuko.

Junko: This made her feel kinda neglected by her mother, but that didn't stop her from being the prime example of what happens when the daddy spoils his daughter a liiittle too much.

Ann: She became obsessed with power. Believing if her mom thought her as a monster, she would become the monster everybody feared.

Kokonoe: And she has every right to be. Azula is an expert schemer, a master manipulate, and an expert fighter.

Junko: Yeah, she's incredibly strong.

Junko: She can break through rocks and crystal armor! And she constantly trades blows with her brother, who can smash through metal!

Ann: She's also fast.

Ann: Well, she's faster and more agile than her brother, who can react to and redirect lightning. She can also keep up with Aang, whose literally as fast as the wind.

Kokonoe: She's durable as well.

Kokonoe: She can withstand the heat of both her own flames as well as enemy Firebenders.

Ann: She can withstand extreme colds and even shrug off her own lightning! She's so good even Toph can't tell if she's lying or not.

Kokonoe: Azula is cunning and pragmatic. She's a devious schemer who will use dirty tricks to get what she wants.

Ann: And her main ability is Firebending!

Ann: Basically the ability to manipulate fire!

Kokonoe: Not just any type of flames. Azula can manipulate blue flames, which are much more powerful and hotter than regular flames.

Ann: She can use this ability to make fire blasts, fire streams, fire waves, fire whips, fire daggers, etcetera!

Junko: This power becomes stronger when the sun is out, and increases immensely when near great flame sources like Sozins Comet.

Kokonoe: Firebending is based off Northern Shaolin Kung Fu, making her highly skilled at martial arts.

Kokonoe: Her fighting style is simple and direct, taking offense over defense. And of the bending arts, Firebending is the most aggressive.

Junko: Still, Azula honed her skills, becoming better than her brother until the end of the series. She's defeated older, more experienced fighters and even held her own against Aang, who is proficient in multiple fighting styles himself.

Ann: Yeah yeah, let's talk more about her flames! Like her Fire Jets!

Ann: She can use her fire to propel herself in the air, granting her flight in short burst! It also let's her ram into her opponents at full speed!

Junko: Someone got excited once we started talking about fire...

Kokonoe: But fire isn't the only thing she can manipulate. She can also Lightningbend.

Kokonoe: A highly advanced technique of Firebending. By balancing positive and negative energy, she can shoot a bolt of lightning strong enough to blow holes in giant cliffs. She can use her lightning to blind her foes or even fire compressed balls of lightning.

Junko: She's even capable of Lightning Redirection!

Junko: A technique that basically let's her absorb and redirect incoming lightning.

Ann: But even a genius expert has her flaws.

Junko: Yeah, she's kinda mentally unstable and prone to reckless behavior... and this is coming from someone who's mentally unstable and prone to reckless behavior.

Kokonoe: She's also still human, so while she can tolerate the heat, she's not immune to getting burned to a skewer.

Ann: But all is still well. Azula always gets what she wants, even if she has to take it by force.

Azula: I don't have sob stories like all of you. I could sit here and complain how our mom liked Zuko more than me. But I don't really care. My own mother... thought I was a monster... She was right of course, but it still hurt.
