Dizzy: Long ago, giant beast called Gohma roamed the earth, only being stopped by the Eight Gaurdian Generals, eight demigods who serve the Shinkoku Army and the Emperor.

Junko: Among these eight was Asura, and man did he get screwed in the ass! The guy has a happy life with his wife and daughter before his own team frame him for killing the emperor, kills his wife, and kidnaps his daughter to use her as their ultimate power source!

Dizzy: Well, that about sums it up. At least Asura gets to destroy each and every one of them.

Junko: Yeah, Asura is one tough bastard!

Junko: He is the master of the ancient art of "punch the crap out of everything!"

Dizzy: Asura was trained by Augus, who is strong enough to split the moon and pierce through the Earth itself.

Akame: Asura is incredibly strong.

Akame: He fought on par with Augus and even fought an army with nothing more than his feet and a blade in his mouth.

Junko: But that's nothing compared to when he blew up Gongen Wyzern with a few punches! And Wyzern was bigger than the earth itself!

Akame: He's fast enough to dodge lasers and is durable enough to take hundreds of blades through his body and still keep fighting. He's even survived an explosion from Earths core seemingly unfazed.

Dizzy: Asura's power source is his Mantra.

Dizzy: Mantra are cosmic energies produced by emotions made either from the souls of mortals or from prayer. In its full form, Mantra is composed of eight "pure" mantras, those being Wrath, Pride, Greed, Lust, Vanity, Violence, Melancholy, and Sloth.

Akame: Mantra appears as a green mist or aura capable of powering machinery, healing wounds, and also capable of strengthening those indulged in it to god-like heights.

Junko: Asura's mantra is wrath, meaning the angrier he gets, the stronger he becomes!

Dizzy: Asura can use mantra to fire energy projectiles.

Dizzy: These projectiles can destroy entire battleships. Asura can shoot rapid-power energy pellets from his fist and even fire homing blasts at enemies. The power of these blast can even be seen from space if Asura gets mad enough.

Junko: Oh Yeah, Asura can also use his mantra for his multiple unique transformations. Starting with his base form, Vajra Asura.

Junko: We already discussed this form quite a bit.

Akame: Right. Through the Mantra activation within his body he is able to metalize his arms through the power of his Wrath Mantra and increase their strength and making them more suitable for combat.

Dizzy: He can shoot energy blast and also has an unlimited mode which has Asura become completely invulnerable to any kind of attack or damage, gain unlimited stamina during the mode's duration, and also has his strength and power increase. Though all of this is only for a limited amount of time.

Junko: Then there's Six-Armed Vajra Asura!

Dizzy: This one is identical to Vajra Asura but with the addition of four metallic arms sprouting from his body. It requires more mantra and can be activated if Asura is angry enough. And just like his base, he can fire energy blast but also fire energy beams.

Junko: He also has Wrath Asura and Berserker Asura. These two forms are incredibly powerful, letting Asura make huge shockwaves just by screaming! But they also greatly deplete Asura of his mantra.

Dizzy: It should be noted that Asura still retains his ability to create Mantra arms even in his base form. Plus he has an even more powerful form called Mantra Asura.

Dizzy: This is the highest power the Mantra of Wrath can reach. In this form, Asura's anger is more focused as he fuses a thousand Mantra arms into his own two arms, making them longer with more armor.

Junko: His punches have the strength of a thousand strikes at once and he can vent jets of mantra to propel himself forward!

Akame: He also doesn't need to worry about his Wrath and Berserker states as he has the Mantra Reactor.

Akame: According to Yasha, the Mantra Reactor held seven trillion souls worth of Mantra before it was permanently drained by the Gohma.

Junko: It's also what helps him tap into one of his other forms, Mantra Reactor Asura!

Junko: He can go into this state by implanting the Mantra Reactor onto his chest. It let's him channel the full power of the Mantra of Wrath without burning out. It also prevents him from turning into his Wrath or Berserker transformations.

Dizzy: The reactor contains all Mantra affinities, giving Asura's Mantra attacks a new multicolored glow.

Junko: But wait, there's more! After Yasha fitted Asura with the Mantra Reactor, Asura's body became capable of safely harnessing any amount of Mantra he could generate! And once he generates enough Mantra, he becomes Asura, The Destructor!

Junko: In this form he becomes way more powerful! He becomes bigger than the sun and can punch planets twice his size to smithereens! He can even blast stars away with a single shot!

Akame: Of course, this doesn't make him without flaws.

Junko: Yeah, Asura has a huge temper and prefers to rush head-on into battle without strategy. He's been killed like three times and can sometimes end up loosing his arms in battle.

Dizzy: Either way, everyone better watch out and better not try and face... Asura's wrath.

Asura: Twelve thousand years, and NOTHING has changed!
