Dizzy: Ann Takamaki, the Phantom Thieves Panther.

Monika: Junko Enoshima, the psychotic yet kinda hot Mastermind of the Remnants of Despair.

Akame: And Kokonoe Mercury, the leader and head scientist of Sector Seven.

Monika: For the last 5 years these three have been hosting our version of Death Battle and it's finally time we put them in a battle to the death.

Dizzy: The stage is set and the combatants are ready.

Monika: It's time for a Death Battle!

Back in a decimated Towa City, Futaba contacted Ann who was jumping from building to building.

Futaba: (Panther, are you there?)

Ann: Yeah. Looks like we all got separated.

Futaba: (We're still fighting against the Remnants of Despair but Sector Seven is still hot on our tail. Joker is busy dealing with a freakishly long-haired emo and a red devil but these Monokuma are overbearing.)

Ann: A what? You know what... I don't even want to know. I'll find whoever is controlling these Monokuma and bring them down. Hm?

Ann stopped at a random building and saw Kokonoe roaming the streets from down below, communicating with Iron Tager.

Kokonoe: Tager. Status report.

Tager: "We're handling the Phantom Thieves and Remnants as we speak. I'm dealing with the leader of the Thieves, but I can't find the leader of the Remnants. Not only that, but it seems that one of the thieves got away."

As he said this, Ann landed in front of Kokonoe.

Kokonoe: Be right back Tager. I think I found her.

She hung up on Iron Tager to face Ann. Just then, Junko came out of the shadows as well.

Junko: Oh my god, you guys are like so loud.

Ann: Huh?

Kokonoe: ... ... ...

Junko: So loud in fact... that you both should die here!

She pulled out a knife and dashed at Ann.

She swung the knife at Ann, who quickly dodged it and went for a kick. Junko jumped back and took out a grenade, throwing it at Ann as the explosion knocked her back. Ann managed to slide on her feet and take out her guns, firing at both Junko and Kokonoe.

Kokonoe: Phenominal Barrier, release.

Junko was dodging the bullets as Kokonoe was blocking them with a barrier. She then saw Junko dashing at her with a knife.

Kokonoe: Not good enough.

As Junko swung her knife, Kokonoe took out a jackhammer and stabbed it straight through her body. Junko quickly went limp as her wig fell off, revealing this dead Junko to be Mukuro Ikusaba.

Kokonoe: A fake?

Ann: What the-

Futaba: (Panther, above you!)

Ann looked up to see Monokuma on top of a building.

Monokuma: Puhuhuhu! Did you honestly think I would face you head-on? Naive! Super naive! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Just then, tons of Beast Monokuma burst out of the buildings above them and came down.

Ann: Carmen!

Ann summoned her Persona who unleashed a giant tornado of flames to burn the Monokuma to ash. Some of them managed to push through the flames and surround Kokonoe. One of them lunged at Kokonoe and she put on a helmet before headbutting it into the ground. The real Monokuma then dashed at her and she pulled out her firegun.

Kokonoe: Boom.

She fired a giant fireball at Monokuma and blew him up. Ann then swung her whip and it wrapped around Kokonoe's arm. She used her whip to pull Kokonoe into the air before smashing her back down to the ground. Three Destroyer Monokuma quickly flew behind Ann and unleashed their flamethrowers but Ann was unaffected by them. She swung her whip and sent all three of them flying and crashing into nearby buildings. She turned around to see three Bomber Monokuma throwing bombs. She swung her whip and sent the bombs back at them, causing them to blow up.

Ann: These Monokuma are annoying! I need to find whoever's controlling them!

Futaba: (Hold on, give me a second... ... ... She's heading your way fast!)

Ann: Wait what?!

Ann turned around to see a speeding firetruck heading her way. On top of that firetruck was the real Junko Enoshima.

Junko: Coming through for the slaughter! Ahahaha!

She pulled out a baseball machine gun and fired rapidly at Ann, sending her flying into a wall. The firetruck then sped toward Kokonoe. The half-beastkin saw this and sighed before putting on some brass knuckles. She punched the firetruck and sent it flying before crashing into a large building. As both Junko and Ann started to recover, Kokonoe took out her Armament No.11 and fired a barrage of missiles at them. Both blondes dodged the missiles and started running towards Kokonoe. Ann with her whip and Junko with an ice pick. They dashed at her and swung their weapons, only for Kokonoe to use her Armament and electrocute both of them. As Ann and Junko were being shocked, Ann summoned Carmen again and the Persona unleashed a massive explosion that knocked all three girls back. Junko then took out her wallet and tossed it into Ann's hands.

Ann: Huh?

The wallet then blew up in Ann's face. Once it did, Junko grabbed a baseball bat and smacked Kokonoe with it. She swung it again and hit her in the back of her head, forcing her to one knee. Junko was about to go for a third swing but Kokonoe grabbed a metal bat of her own and swung it, breaking Junko's bat in two. Kokonoe went for another swing but a Guard Monokuma got in the way, blocking the attack and getting sent flying. This allowed Junko the perfect opportunity to jump on top of Kokonoe and try to strangle her.

Junko: DIE! DIE! DIE!

Kokonoe kicked Junko off knocking her on her back. Junko rolled back to her feet but as soon as she did, Kokonoe kicked her again and sent her crashing into a large pile of rubble. Once the debris vanished, Junko was coughing up blood with a smile as a metal pipe had found its way through her stomach. Kokonoe walked up to Junko and stepped on Junko's chest, opening the wound more.

Kokonoe: Are you done?

Junko: Are you? I invoke the mighty summon spell! Help! To me, godly spear Gungnir!

Multiple spears then came out of nowhere and stabbed straight through Kokonoe's body, stabbing her in every direction. But Kokonoe immediately used Phenomena Intervention to erase the spears from existence and immediately undo all the damage done. Junko looks up at her almost impressed. A smile then grows on her face once more.

Junko: Well isn't that convenient? ... Puhuhuhuhu... upupupupu... AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Kokonoe took out her drill hammer and swung it, smashing Junko's face into the pavement as blood splattered everywhere. 

Kokonoe: Finally done with you... now on to the other kid.

She looked up at Ann, who had stood up from the explosion. The two girls had a staredown before dasing at each other. Ann swung her whip but Kokonoe ducked under it and went for an uppercut with her drillhammer. Ann Jumped back and dodged her attack. 

Ann: Dance Carmen!

Carmen then appeared above Ann and fired several fireballs. Kokonoe teleported behind Ann and swung an oversized wrench. Ann saw it coming and swung her whip, clashing with Kokonoe's wrench and causing a shockwave around them. Ann then went for a kick, but as soon as she did, Kokonoe used her linchpin and stunned Ann just long enough for Kokonoe to swing her wrench and send Ann flying through a mountain of rubble. Kokonoe smirked before turning around and seeing a Junk Monokuma lunging at her.

Kokonoe: Tch.

She swung her wrench and smashed the Junk Monokuma In two. As she did, Ann began to recover. She noticed a Ball Monokuma rolling down toward her. Ann was quick to dodge it before swinging her whip and wrapping it around the Ball Monokuma. She then spun and swung the Ball Monokuma into Kokonoe, smashing the catgirl into a building. Ann set her whip on fire and blew up the Monokuma in Kokonoe's face.

Ann: What's going on? Why are these Monokuma still showing up? Isn't Junko dead?

Futaba: (Panther, behind you!)

Ann looked back and saw an all-black Monokuma.

Kurokuma: Yo yo yo! It's Kurokuma in the house! Did ya really think you can get rid of me that easily? I ain't even done... (Junko's voice)... filling you with despair~

Just then, massive footsteps were heard as Big Bang Monokuma was starting to approach.

Futaba: (Woah, that thing's huge!)

Kurokuma: Looks like Shirokuma brought in the big guy already huh?! Ahahaha!

Big Bang Monokuma swung his staff and Ann quickly dodged, but Ann swung it again and sent her flying through the air. Ann quickly used her whip to swing around the city and land on a tall building as Kokonoe recovered from below. Big Bang Monokuma noticed Kokonoe's recovery and swung his staff in an attempt to squash her, but she blocked it with one arm.

Kokonoe: You are one stubborn brat. Get over here, Mecha Tager! Crush them!

Kokonoe summoned a giant Mecha Tager. Big Bang Monokuma noticed and swung his staff but Mecha Tager blocked it and punched the giant Monokuma, sending him through buildings. Mecha Tager then looked towards Ann.

Ann: Uh oh... Hecate!

As Mecha Tager began charging up, Carmen immediately evolved into Hecate and unleashed a blast of fire that countered the blast of energy unleashed by Mecha Tager. The two went into a massive beam struggle but Mecha Tager managed to pull through and blast Ann through several buildings. Big Bang Monokuma then fired three balls that blew up in Mecha Tagers face before running up to Tager and swinging his staff. Mecha Tager swung his fist and the two clashed, destroying everything around them. 

Big Bang Monokuma then shot a laser that stunned Mecha Tager. Before the giant Monokuma could hit him again, Kokonoe jumped up and punched Big Bang Monokuma into the ground. The giant robot recovered quickly and swung his staff, sending Kokonoe flying into a building. She fell to the ground and landed on one knee as Mecha Tager went to punch Big Bang Monokuma. The giant Monokuma rolled out of the way and dodged it. As soon as he got to his feet, Mecha Tager went for another punch, but this time the Monokuma caught his fist with his mouth and ripped Mecha Tager's arm off. Mecha Tager went to punch with his other arm but Big Bang Monokuma countered it with his staff before bitting his head and ripping it off. 

Kokonoe watched Mecha Tager fall as Kurokuma laughed in the background.

Kurokuma: Hahaha! What did I tell ya?! You ain't beatin' the big guy ya know? 

Kokonoe: Tch... Burn in hell. I summon you, Golden Tager!

Kokonoe summoned an even stronger giant robot, Golden Tager, who immediately charged at Big Bang Monokuma and punched him, knocking him back. Big Bang Monokuma slid on his feet, knocking down buildings in his path. As he did, Ann was swinging around the city.

Futaba: (Panther! The eye is the Monokuma's weak point!)

Ann: Gotcha!

Ann swung around Golden Tager's fist and flew toward Big Bang Monokuma, swinging her whip. The kaiju bear saw it coming and blocked his red eye before swinging his staff and smashing Ann into the ground. He then swung his staff at Golden Tager who went for a punch. The two of them clashed and Big Bang Monokuma tried to go for another swing of his staff but couldn't move his arm. He looked back to see Hecate had her chains wrapped around his arm. She used her massive strength to spin him around and throw him into Golden Tager. She then unleashed magma under their feet in an attempt to melt them both. Kokonoe looked up and saw this.

Kokonoe: Tch.

Before she could do anything, she saw Ann running up to her swinging her whip, and quickly teleported behind her, pulling out a massive firegun.

Kokonoe: Power Blast!

She shot a massive fireball at her but Ann absorbed it and used it to heal herself. She swung her whip again and Kokonoe jumped up to dodge it. She went for a downward kick but Ann quickly got out of the way as Kokonoe created a massive crater. She then activated a Graviton that pulled Ann in close.

Ann: Huh?! Woah!

Kokonoe: Get over here!

Once Ann was close enough, Kokonoe hit her with a barrage of punches.

Kokonoe: Atatatatatatata!

She kicked Ann into a large, mechanical device that held her in place.

Ann: Can't... move...

Kokonoe: Summoning device... Active!

Futaba: (Panther? Is everything okay? ... ... ... Holy cow...)

Ann's eyes widened as Kokonoe summoned a gigantic meteor from the sky. Kokonoe smiled with her arms crossed.

Kokonoe: Ars Magus? Worthless! Science is true power! Ahahahahahaha!!!

As Kokonoe was laughing maniacally, Big Bang Monokuma was trying to get up, but Golden Tager was holding onto him tightly. He unleashed a blast of energy that went straight through the Monokuma's body. The blast was so powerful it sent both of them flying straight towards the meteor. The same meteor pierced the Earth and created a massive explosion, destroying all of Towa City.

Ann woke up and sat up. There was magma and fire everywhere within the now-decimated city. Ann looked up and saw Kurokuma fall in front of her as nothing more than a head.

Kurokuma: Holy hell! Now that was beyond crazy, am I right?

Ann: Huh?

Futaba: (Panther! Panther are you there?!)

Ann: Oh! Um, yeah I'm here. Is everyone okay?

Futaba: (Yep. The Remnants of Despair have all been wiped out by that explosion, but the Phantom thieves are all safe. But Sector Seven is still on our tail, so we're making a tactical retreat.)

Ann: In that case, I should do the same. 

Kokonoe: And where do you think you're going?

Ann looked up to see Kokonoe, completely unscathed by the explosion.

Futaba: (No way! How strong is this lady?!)

Ann: Oracle, tell the others I'll meet them at the hideout. I have some business to take care of.

Kokonoe: Hmph... you're not going anywhere

The two girls had a staredown.

Kurokuma: Holy shit! Somebody get some popcorn for this party 'cause we got ourselves a catfight!

Kokonoe dashed at Ann with two massive gauntlets. Ann quickly used Hecate to summon massive pillars of fire. Kokonoe dodged them and got in close, hitting Ann with an uppercut to the chest.

Kokonoe: Broken... Bunker!

She hit her with another rocket punch that sent her flying. Ann landed on her feet and quickly fused Carmen with Hecate, evolving her two Persona into Célestine, who was chewing bubblegum. Célestine threw the two dummies she was holding with her hair, sending them flying toward Kokonoe, who punched one of them away and then punched the second into the ground. Kokonoe quickly noticed the second one was holding a bomb. Célestine blew a large bubble that popped as the bomb blew up in Kokonoe's face. The debris almost immediately disappears as Kokonoe launches both her gauntlets at the Persona.

Kokonoe: Disappear!

Célestine immediately blocked them with her hair and swatted them away as Ann dashed at Kokonoe. Her whip was on fire as she swung it, striking at Kokonoe multiple times. She went for one more swing but Kokonoe dodged and went for a punch. Ann dodged that and went for another swing of her whip, but Kokonoe caught it and pulled Ann in before punching her away. Ann slid on her feet as Kokonoe activated another Graviton, pulling Ann closer. Kokonoe then placed a device on the ground.

Kokonoe: Electric Shock!

As soon as Ann was pulled above the device, it struck Ann with a pillar of lightning both vertically and horizontally. As this happened, Kokonoe saw Célestine coming at her with a punch. She quickly jumped back as Célestine smashed the electric device and Ann landed in front of her. The Graviton then pushed both Ann and her Persona back as Kokonoe took out a metal bat and ran towards her. 

Kokonoe: This is gonna hurt!

The Graviton pulled Ann in and Kokonoe swung her bat, Smashing Ann's face into the ground. Kokonoe then let out a deep sigh as she took out her Absolute Zero gun.

Kokonoe: What a drag... stop wasting my time. When I'm done with you, I'll be going after those Phantom Thief friends of yours.

Ann: Geh... I won't let you!

Ann jumped up and kicked the gun in the air. Kokonoe got annoyed and channeled the power of the Boundary before summoning her battling guns and shooting a barrage of bullets at Ann, who was flipping back and dodging them all. Kokonoe then caught her Absolute Zero gun and aimed it.

Kokonoe: Freeze!

She fired a huge burst of ice and Ann flipped to the side to dodge it. She then channeled the flames of her Persona to her body and dashed at Kokonoe, who took out her massive wrench and swung it. Ann dodged as Kokonoe's strike formed a crater in the ground. Kokonoe swung her wrench again, but Ann dodged it jumping behind Kokonoe and swinging her whip, knocking Kokonoe away. Kokonoe quickly slid on her feet and turned to face Ann before taking the Silvervine Candy out of her mouth.

Kokonoe: Fall, into the depths of Hell!

She tossed the Silvervine Candy into the air and it turned into a massive black hole, sucking everything in including Kurokuma.

Kurokuma: WOAH! WOAH! WOAH! WOAH!

As Kurokuma was sucked in, Ann dashed toward Kokonoe and kicked her towards the black hole. Célestine used her hair to catch Ann's arm and prevent her from getting sucked in herself, but Kokonoe used a grappling hook to grab onto Ann's leg and hold on.

Ann: Tch! Célestine!

Célestine pulled Ann in, bringing Kokonoe closer before blasting a giant beam of fire. Kokonoe tried to block it with a barrier but the blast immediately broke through and tore Kokonoe to pieces, causing her body parts to get sucked into the Blackhole that then exploded and sent Ann flying. 

Ann: Geh!

Ann crashed into the ground but managed to look up. She noticed she was the only one left in the decimated area. She laid down exhausted.

Ann: Phew... hey Oracle... is everyone alright?

Futaba: (Yep! The Phantom Thieves are at the hideout waiting on you!)

Ann let out a gentle smile.

Ann: I'm on my way now...

Monika: Wow... that was really chaotic...

Dizzy: Let's go over this one at a time. First, let's get the obvious out of the way. Junko didn't exactly stand much of a chance in this. Of the two, she was much slower and physically weaker. Even the strongest things in her arsenal wouldn't be anything new to Kokonoe and Ann. However, Junko did have the advantage in intelligence, and her wider arsenal as well as her psychotic mindset made her unpredictable enough to hold her own even for a little bit. 

Monika: And while Alter Ego Junko was a bit more tricky, it would be easy for someone like Ann to find the AI containing Junko using her third eye so getting rid of her would be difficult but not impossible. Honestly, it really boiled down to Kokonoe and Ann in the end.

Akame: Kokonoe was definitely the most experienced of the two. And her more powerful arsenal as well as her control over the battlefield helped her a lot in this battle. There was one problem though... compared to Ann she was much slower and surprisingly weaker physically. Because of this, Ann can tank hits from a lot of Kokonoe's inventions.

Monika: Except for her Armament No. 03: "Freezing Absolute Zero Ver. 4.32". While Ann has taken ice attacks before, she's still weak to them and there's nothing to say that she can be hit with attacks reaching absolute zero. But her Persona helps Ann have a high chance of dodging ice-based attacks. With Ann's speed, she should have no trouble with that.

Dizzy: But Kokonoe is still an Observer. In that sense, killing her should be next to impossible right? Well not necessarily. She can't be killed by things that exist within logic. But she can still be killed by things that exist outside of logic, and in the world of Blazblue, magic is one of those things.

Monika: Right, and it just so happens that Ann is one of the best at using magic among the Phantom Thieves, second only to Ren Amamiya. At the end of the day-

Akame: Don't... don't say a pun...

Monika: Of course not. Puns are more in Junko''s persona. I was just blazing through the truth bullets and accepting Ann's showtime.

Akame: And she did it anyway.

Junko: Alright ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the Season 5 Finale! Can any of you guess what it is? ... Yeah, I highly doubt it. So a bit of a note, this battle will be a tad bit different than normal because the original version of this would be the world's biggest stomp. But... this battle is to celebrate our 5 years of doing these, so in order to make this fight work we spent a year searching the internet and found the best possible version of this battle. Neptune Trivia: Battle #170:

-While this battle is more between hosts, making it more random, there are small connections between these three girls. Both Ann and Junko are known for their fashion and beauty within their respective series, which allows them to hide their true colors. Although they look almost identical, their motives are complete opposites. Both Ann and Kokonoe wanted vengeance over a character who did them wrong (Terumi and Kamoshida) and got the help of the main characters (Ragna and Joker) to help them achieve that vengeance. Both Ragna and Joker also just so happen to be the most hated characters in their respective worlds (Ragna being a wanted criminal and Joker being a delinquent transfer student). Ann and Kokonoe are also catgirls. Junko and Kokonoe don't have as much in common though they are two of the smartest in their respective series.

-This is Ann's first victory in Death Battle, granting each host one win and one loss this season.

-This battle was going to include Dizzy, Akame, and Neptune but we decided against it due to time constraints

-This is Junko's 5th Death Battle including the one in Season 1 among the deleted. As a result, Junko has been in more battles than anyone else, including Neptune, Akame, and Medaka.

-This will also mark Junko's first loss, ending her streak that hadn't been noticed until she beat Springtrap.

      *Though just like Medaka, she is still undefeated in a 1v1

-Junko just couldn't go one season without sending her sister to her death, could she? -_-
