Fun fact I learnt today:wattpad has a maximum number of 1000 accounts that you can follow. There is a 1 in 10 chance (approximately from experience) that you will get a followback with a mediocre profile. So if you follow the max number of people you will still only have 100 followers.
Chances for followbacks increase ⬆️ if you have a fun bio, interact with others, have works published or acknowledge others works ect. Also if you have an incredibly small amount of followers you are more likely to get followers as people expect you to follow them back at that point because you are still very sensitive about your followers count. Also people with extremely large follower counts have funner message boards so if they are able to keep their message board a safe environment for interactions (bullying is common) then people are likely to be attracted to such accounts
Chances decrease ⬇️ if you're a bully, you have 0 works or your works aren't popular and you generally just ignore flashing 'let's be friends' signal
Entry 5:
So I decided to start from scratch. I put a floral background picture, a picture of a famous bts member Jungkook as my prof pic. The username was @pixiewriting and my first follower Ivywritesstuff
noticed the part 'writing' in my username and asked if I was planning to publish.
I decided NOT to reveal that I already had another account only because I wanted to separate my preferences in writing into two accounts.
Entry 6:
In the first day of following random and active profiles(Note: It is better to check whether a profile is active first and follow those that are) I got my first two followers. The second follower was bAnGtanOpOlis
I forgot to thank them so I went back and did that in a second message to each.
