Kim Junseo isn't afraid of anything.
Except maybe one thing. Vampires.
The members of WEi are lounging at the dorm, when a boisterous siren goes off. Then the door is kicked open and Junseo is torn apart from his friends and dragged outside by a group of Sasaengs.
Next thing WEi's maknae knows is he is forced into an abandoned building. A door slowly opens, revealing a dark room on the other side. Struggling to fend off his fear and worry, a voice whispers into Junseo's ear, "Would you like to know what's in here?"
It's called "Dark Night", when hell comes to Earth. The beginning of a day where evil roams free and destroys anything and everything on sight. A day that K-Pop idols dread and do anything to survive.
Now, this includes Junseo of WEi.

"Would you like to know what's in here?" a voice whispers in Kim Junseo's ear. A warm, eerie voice that tickles his earlobe and shoots shivers soaring down his spine. A black gloved hand appears in the far corner of his vision. Only moments earlier he'd been blindfolded and unable to see anything.
"Not..." Junseo begins to say, his mouth dry as he follows the hand's gesture into a pitch dark room. "Entirely..."
The creepy voice comes by his ear again. "Are you still scared? I thought Kim Junseo wasn't afraid of anything?"
Junseo's mouth falls open. Words are unable to find their way out. He gulps and runs his tongue over his bottom lip.
"So you are scared? Frightened, even?"
Junseo squeezes his eyes shut as the warm breath travels from his ear down to his neck. His mind flashes back to the dorm, where he and his bandmates were just chilling on the couch for another casual night, when the piercing sound of a siren rang out. It sounded like a tornado warning, but it wasn't tornado-based as the weather outside was clear and chill for the coming of autumn.
The door had swung open and banged against the wall. It was so sudden and loud that it made Kang Seokhwa and Kim Donghan jump up to their feet. Kim Yohan had dived behind the couch, pulling his roommate, Yoo Yongha with him.
There'd been at least five people dressed in all black with scary-looking white masks covering their facial features (except their eyes and mouths) that stormed into the room. They had guns and weapons drawn.
Seokhwa and Donghan had looked at one another, perplexed, but they held their ground, standing before where Junseo remained stunned on the couch. He had been staring through the tiny slit between his two friends at the intruders.
"Hand him over now!" one of the masked bandits had demanded Seokhwa and Donghan. "Give us Kim Junseo!"
Junseo shakes his head and snaps his eyes open. No! He can't think about it anymore. He won't think about it anymore. He finds himself staring ahead of him once more at the dark room. His heart pounding voraciously in his chest.
"Good, you should be," the voice snarls again.
Although he is frozen in place, he becomes once more attuned to the presence of warm breath on his neck. Then he feels a sharp pinch on the side of his neck that makes him flinch with pain and bite his lip.
Within seconds, the pain dissolves into a dull ache. His vision blurs over like he is drunk as he is grabbed by a pair of gloved hands and led into the dark room. He is paralyzed and he blinks, trying to clarify things once more.
Instead, he is shoved down onto a soft mattress and then chained in place to two bedposts.
Junseo, feeling his strength draining from him minute after minute, lies down on his side as best as he can and closes his eyes.
Once again, his mind takes him back in time to the dorm.
"Why do you want Junseo?" Seokhwa had barked at the intruder who'd spoken.
"He's wanted by the Chief of Dark Night!" the intruder snapped back at him. "If you do not hand him over, we'll be forced to take violent actions."
Donghan had cracked his neck and knuckles, flashing a scowl. "Our Maknae wants nothing to do with the Dark Night!"
Junseo had learned about Dark Night, it was one night of the year when evil sasaengs rose up and managed to kill or take a K-Pop idol. If one was taken, they were certainly never seen again. (It's assumed that they were ultimately killed.) No one knew how the sasaengs were able to break in and succeed, but it seemed that this time, Junseo of the up-and-coming K-Pop group, WEi, was the target.
Other idols described Dark Night as "the beginning of a dark day where evil roamed free and destroy anything and anyone in sight."
Either way, it was a day (well, night) K-Pop idols all around dreaded and would do anything and everything to survive.
Junseo had watched in horror as they came at Donghan and Seokhwa with their various weapons blazing. They eventually got the two men to their knees and trained the guns on them. Junseo had pressed back against the couch in stunned silence.
He couldn't move then.
And he couldn't move now.
Junseo's eyes fly open wide once more, finding that his vision is clear once more. His eyes adjust to the darkness and he can see that he is lying on a bed. A long rusty chain is wrapped around his wrists and attached to the bedpost. He gives the chain just a gentle test tug, but the metal scrapes against his skin.
In the sudden agony, he stops and flops down. He finds himself staring between the two bedposts at a barred window. The glass is cracked and clouded with dust and there are spiderwebs decorating the corners. But he can still see the dark night sky outside and the stars twinkling in the deep blue canvas.
"I'm as good as dead," Junseo whispers.
His mind flashes once more back to the dorm.
Seokhwa kicked out at the masked intruder holding a gun to his head, sweeping his feet out from under him. Then he jumped up to his feet and snatched Junseo's hand. "Come with me," he had said, forcefully. "They are not going to take you."
Donghan lunged at the one on him, while Soekhwa's man was trying to recover.
But that was the last image Junseo had seen of his brave hyung: Donghan fighting off three masked intruders by himself without so much as a fear or care in the world. Granted, Donghan was the strongest of the WEi members.
Seokhwa had dragged Junseo through the hallway of their dorm and toward the porch. A second exit. They saw movement at the far side of the hallway, cutting off that plan for the time being.
Seokhwa ducked into a side room, pulling Junseo in with him. They found themselves inside of a private recording studio that was connected to the porch exit. (Maybe they could sneak out this way?)
Seokhwa held his index finger up to his lips.
Junseo nodded at him.
Seokhwa turned and looked out of the room, back into the hall and toward the porch exit where they'd seen the figure moving about. There was nothing there now. Seokhwa uttered a loud breath.
That's when Junseo felt a presence behind him. Before he could move, a hand, gloved in black like a kidnapper's, slapped over his mouth and pulled him away from Seokhwa. Junseo watched as another masked figure raced at Seokhwa, while he was preparing to turn around and knocked him out cold with a baseball bat.
Junseo saw Seokhwa fall to the ground. Blood pooling under his head and the young man remained still, lifeless and unmoving.
Junseo's heart had skipped a beat and his breathing caught in his throat. He couldn't even hear what the masked bandits were saying next as he was dragged from the house, the gloved hand still over his mouth to stifle any cries for help.
The next thing he knew, he was in the back of a vehicle, his wrists bound tightly together with duct tape and blindfolded.
The image of the bloody and unconscious Seokhwa was alive in his mind.
What happened to Daehyeon, Yohan, Donghan, Yongha and Seokhwa? Were they really dead because of him?
The sound of footsteps scuffling on the floor bring him back to his prison and draw his attention toward the door.
"Settling in, Junseo?" the familiar voice hisses to him.
He blinks, able to make out the details for the first time of his abductor. He blinks, his eyes landing on a beautiful brunette woman with long waves of hair cascading down her back. Her eyes are slightly outlined with black mascara and she has a hint of red eyeshadow. Ruby red lipstick is smeared on her lips. She has a silver and black choker around her necklace and a regal blood red cloak over a gothic black dress. Two sharp vampire fangs show as she flashes Junseo a bloody smirk.
"Didn't expect a woman to be your captor," the vampire lady sneers, coming up to the bed. She places her palms down on the bed and leans toward Junseo's face. Her red contacts flashing brightly. "Huh, pretty boy?"
Junseo bites his lip. "W-w-what did you do to my friends?"
The lady vampire scoffs and straightens up. "Yet another one who doesn't take in my beauty. I either get the men who are gay for their friends or the ones who care more about their friends than for me." She flicks a hand into the air with finesse.
Junseo can see her freshly manicured black and red sharp nails.
"Jinah-ya, you can't kidnap mortals and expect them to love you back," the vampire lady says, pulling at her hair.
Junseo swallows a wave of fear. "I think you're pretty. I just wanted to know about my friends."
Jinah stops and turns to him. "Wait...what?"
Junseo looks up at her. "I think you're very pretty."
Jinah smiles and plops down on the bed, looking at Junseo. "You would date me?"
Junseo bites his lip.
Jinah giggles. "Well, I know my friends wrecked your dorm and had to kill that one brute. Then there was the other one that Taeyang clobbered. And the trio that was huddled together that we just left unconscious. I guess they fainted from fright. We tend to do that."
Junseo frowns. "So you hurt them? MY friends?!"
"I suppose so! Oh, but it was so much fun! I researched you and found that you were scared of nothing, like the brute and that one guy. We had to test that this year! Besides, you have the blood type I like." Jinah giggles some more.
Junseo continues to frown, his brows pressing together to accentuate his fury. "Then I can't like you."
Jinah jumps up to her feet. "That's fine. You accept what you want to, Kim Junseo. I'll just drain you of your blood slowly and then seek out someone else. Eventually someone will like me!"
Jinah leaps back onto the bed like an animal, baring her sharp canines at Junseo.
Junseo screams as she lunges for his neck and sinks her teeth into his neck once again. The sharp pinching feeling returns, only this time is a thousand times worse. His vision blurs over again and the chains jangle loudly with his struggle, echoing in his ears. But he doesn't care. Agony washes over him.
Jinah finally pulls back, wiping blood from her mouth. "I'll return to finish you off in a few hours, Junseo. Then you can join your friends."
Junseo gasps for air, pain flooding through his body.
Yes, Kim Junseo of WEi isn't afraid of anything.
Except for one thing. Vampires.
