I clung to the ledge and prayed for daylight. The moon taunted my defeat as I saw no daylight coming anytime soon. I could feel the tears of realization fall down my cheeks as I moved my cat tail to the side. These building were no walk in the park for me either. I watched my friends laugh before scattering away to go roof jumping off more buildings. I knew that my parents would hate it if I did this, but I still snuck out.
"Alia!" I heard someone call my name. I looked down from my building in a rush trying not to get sick. Ellie, my best friend, stood miles down from me. Her arms were stretched out and her dog ears were perked up as well as her tail being up in alert. I let one hand go off the building to wave, but she shook her head in fear. She had noticed before I did. I had pushed myself off of the wall in excitement of seeing her.
My eyes were still wide open as the air whizzed past my face in a flash. The scars, the cuts, and the bruises wouldn't hurt anymore when I hit the ground. My friends had betrayed me even after the promise. My parents wouldn't care, for the horrible things I did to them to stay with me friends. What about Ellie... I snapped out of my deadly though and looked at the ground below me. I was almost there causing me to panic. Before hitting the ground I felt warm arms wrap themselves around me.
"Alia! I'm here!" Ellie smiled tears tumbling down her cheeks. I looked at her for a second before breaking out into a crying fit. I didn't even care about the horrible pain that rushed into my broken bones and cuts. Ellie had saved my life even when I called her stupid and dumb. I hoped that I didn't have to leave her anytime soon.
"I'm sorry for everything Ellie!" I screamed into her shirt. She nodded and began to cry her heart out. I hoped I could make up for what I did. Ellie picked me up and took me to the nearest hospital. Months later I was released from the hospital. As I was walking down the street with Ellie I saw someone on top of the building I was on. It was a girl with messed up black hair and puffy eyes as if she'd been up there for a while. She had her eyes closed as if she tried to go to sleep.
"Ellie look!" I yelled pointing at the girl. I saw out of the corner of my eyes the "friends" that I gave up on laugh at her. Looks like they found a new toy after me. I ran towards the building and looked up at her. Ellie would have to handle the girl. I have to handle the bullies. I ran after those jerks as they ran down the alleys. I felt a little suspicious as it grew darker and darker causing infected thoughts to crawl into my brain. I followed them up a ladder and onto a tall building. The people below walked around with their strange animal like features.
"Oh hey Alia! Perfect timing," a deep voice whispered into her ear. A group of hands grabbed me from the sides and turned me to face the building I was on. My eyes were wide in fear as I saw Ellie up there trying to get the girl down, but one of the "friends" was sneaking behind them. It was like it happened in slow motion... Ellie turned around to see the girl, but the girl slammed a pipe into her back causing precious Ellie to scream and fall. The girl started shaking uncontrollably and her tears were more rapid as she just witnessed the death of my best friend. The girl smiled a little at her before pushing the innocent girl off the building.
"WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!" I cried falling to the floor. I felt the world around me go silent as if they felt my pain. The only sounds I could hear was the "friends" laughing at me. I stood up from the ground and squeezed my hand. I quickly turned around and aimed my fist to any face and dove for a punch. A guy held my fist before it could reach his face. I stopped trying to overpower him. His gang... I slapped him across the face causing his gang to leap onto me. 7 people at once wasn't easy. They all picked me up and threw me off. This was the end... I felt the smooth ground bang against my body as I was released from the pains an sorrow...
