Summary:

Elena Jackson and Evan Vassall were high school sweethearts.

After Evan's wealthy and powerful family tore them apart, Elena skipped town and swore to never go back to New York, but when her drunken and drug-addicted mother has an overdose, Elena is forced to return to her hometown six years later.

Fully aware that Evan is engaged and now CEO of his father's company, she vows that she will only stay in town for two weeks, and if she sees Evan Vassall--she is going to run the other way.
