Hey, fam!

It's ya girl Alex Evansley (aka nonfictionalex on Wattpad and also the rest of the internet lolz). I'm SO PUMPED to be participating in this year's Winter Block Party!! kellyanneblount is not only a good friend of mine, she's also a straight up BALLER for putting all of this together and you should 4000% tell her that as well. Thank you Kelly for having me!!

For those who don't know me, I'm Alex and I'm publishing my debut YA novel this year called Love Scene, Take Two! It comes out June, 12th, 2018 with Swoon Reads/Macmillan and I *could not* be more excited. Fun fact: LSTT got its start on Wattpad and the OG draft was read over 3 million times #haayyyyyyy. The story follows the complex relationship between a young YA author and the lead actor cast in her book's film adaptation, and I'm so so so excited for y'all to read the published version!

Here's a little description swag for ya:

Teddy Sharpe is kind of famous. He might actually be on his way to being really famous, especially if he'd nailed an audition for the lead role in the movie adaption of the newest bestselling young adult book series. There's just one problem: He totally blew the audition. And he's stuck in a tiny North Carolina airport. And his maybe-ex-girlfriend kind of just broke up with him.

The weekend isn't exactly looking good until Bennett Caldwell, author of the very book series he just auditioned for, takes pity on him and invites him to her family's lake house. Away from the glitz and glam of Hollywood for a few days, Teddy starts to relax . . . and somehow he and Bennett just click. But dating is hard enough when you aren't the subject of several dozen fanblogs, and the Internet is full of juicy gossip about Teddy and Bennett . . . gossip that Bennett might not be prepared to handle.

COOL, RIGHT??? I had to retire the original Wattpad version, but the good news is the first five chapters of the soon-to-be-published version are uploaded to my Wattpad page! You should def check it out if you want hehehehe.

With all that said, this year for the Block Party I decided to create an emoji-infused character interview with one of my main characters, Teddy Sharpe. Another fun fact: Teddy is low-key inspired by a not-so-subtle celebrity crush I've had for several few years now, and I'm sure you can probably guess who that is based on this mock-interview lolz. FeedBuzz Presents: An Emojinterview with the Darling of Tumblr, Teddy Sharpe

Hello, world! If you're anything like us over here at FeedBuzz, you definitely have a slight obsession with MTV's Testing Wyatt actor and overall charmer, Teddy Sharpe. (Hold the slight.) We won't beat around the bush here. Is it the hair? The soft brown eyes? The adorably endearing persona he created for his TW character, Miles? It's all of the things, actually, and so much more.

The buzz around Teddy is already off the charts (shout out to Tumblr, tbh), so when we found out he just signed on to star in the next big YA film franchise, Parachutes by M.B. Caldwell (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), we knew it was the perfect excuse to bring him in for one of our Emojinterviews. Because let's be real, Teddy Sharpe + emoji reactions = too much for our mere mortal hearts to handle. We grilled him about everything from Testing Wyatt to Parachutes to his celebrity crush <3 so get ready, people. This is not a drill. Enjoy! (Because we sure as hell did hehehe.)

Int: Hi, Teddy! Welcome to our Emojinterview 🙌🏻 We're so happy you could come in today and chat with us 🤩

Teddy: No worries—I'm stoked to be here ☺️🤙🏻

Int: How are things going 💁🏻‍♂️? From what we hear you've had a busy last few months 😱

Teddy: Yeah, I mean, it's definitely been nuts, but in a good way 🙂 We finished up shooting the first half of season 3 of Testing Wyatt back in early September, so it's a trip that we're gearing up for the premiere on Monday 🤯 Especially since we're already in the middle of shooting the rest of the season right now 🎥. It's been a crazy fast production process, but I think fans of the show will be pumped about what's coming 🤗

Int: Absolutely, and I know fans are already *beyond* excited over the rumors about your character arc happening this season 🌚... Can you give us any spoilers? 😁

Teddy: Aw, man—I wish I could 😂 The fans have been insanely awesome over the past few years, but I'd get in a lot of trouble with our show runner if I gave anything away... 😬

Int: We definitely don't want that, but we'll be anxiously awaiting more details with everyone else 😳 Speaking of your fans—you pretty much broke the internet last week when it came out that you're starring as Jack O'Heinessey in the Parachutes film franchise! 😍 How does it feel to be the face of the most hyped YA book adaptation of 2019? 📖

Teddy: You know, it's so funny the way all that went down 😶 I'm pretty sure the initial source was Tumblr, right? 🤔 Like, we weren't even going to make an announcement about casting until next month, but some stealthy fans on Tumblr somehow figured it all out 🕵️‍♀️ We still have no idea how it leaked, but I'm stoked that so many people are already excited about it 😌

Int: We hear ya—Tumblr is a force to be reckoned with these days 👀 So, talk to us a little bit more about Parachutes ❤️ It's a super high-action story with plenty of thrills, and it's definitely different from a comedy-drama MTV show 🎬 How are you feeling about switching things 🆙?

Teddy: It's definitely nerve-racking, you know, trying something completely new 😬 My character Miles on Testing Wyatt was the first role I ever landed, so he feels like a second skin to me when I'm on set 💙 Which is great, don't get me wrong, but I also think it's important as an actor to challenge yourself in as many ways as you can 🧔🏻👮🏻‍♂️🕵🏻‍♂️ Especially early in your career 👶🏻 I've always wanted to try out a more physically challenging role, so Jack is absolutely perfect 👍🏻 His character in Parachutes and its sequel, Safety Net, reads so opposite of Miles that I think it'll be the best kind of test for me at this stage in my career 😊

Int: Agreed! 🙌🏻 And I'm so glad you brought up the book series 📚 It sounds like you've read them already? 📕📗

Teddy: I've actually low-key read both books twice already and plan on reading them a few times more before filming starts 🤓 Jack is a crazy complex character—I feel like every time I read the books I discover new facets to him that I missed before 🔍💎 M.B. Caldwell is such a spectacularly talented writer and these books have such an incredible fandom following 📝... It's really important to me that I do his character justice 💪🏻

Int: Wow, as if we weren't already impressed! 😍 So does that mean we can expect to see you at a midnight release party for the final book, Off the Grid in 2020? 🎉

Teddy: Oh, absolutely 🤪 I'm secretly hoping I can score some details on the third book while I'm on set, too 🤫 I don't think I can wait until 2020 😩😂

Int: We fully support that and we think you should hook us up with those details when you get them 🙏🏻

Teddy: I'll see what I can do, but no promises 🤐😂

Int: So, you said your Testing Wyatt filming schedule has been fast paced—how has it been prepping for your Parachutes role on top of that? 🏋🏻‍♂️

Teddy: It's mostly consisted of putting on more muscle mass and making sure I'm in shape for stunts 🧗🏻‍♂️ I'm a little on the skinny side to begin with and I want to be as hands-on as I can with this movie, so preparing ahead of time is 🔝 priority. So far it's been tough to find time with my workdays, but TW filming is supposed to wrap around Thanksgiving, so I'll have about six or seven weeks after that to really go hard 🏃🏻‍♂️

Int: Wait, so does that mean Parachutes filming starts in mid-January 🤯?? That's so soon! 📆

Teddy: Oh, sh*t 😅 I really hope I don't get in trouble for saying that... 🤷🏻‍♂️

Int: We're just kidding—we already knew that from the Parachutes Encyclopeakia page 😇

Teddy: You guys just scared me so badly 😆 See if I give you any Off the Grid details now 😏
