classicoverthinker Presents: Katherine Grey & Jonah Gayle - The Interview
If you're reading this, it's too late.
Come through reference to album I've never listened to before.
Greetings and salutations! WBP readers. This is my second time being apart of the block part and I can only hope that it will be as great as my first.
For the last Block Party I shared with you the process I used to outline my novels, however this time around I'll be doing something different.
Today I'll be interviewing one of my most beloved characters as well as the star of the next book in her trilogy. Before I continue, I would like to extend a huge thank you to KellyAnneBlount, for giving me another opportunity to share this experience with you guys. I would also like to inform you that this time around, I'll be giving away a book critic to one lucky winner! So be sure to enter (p.s. The book must be in english)
That should cover everything, so on with the show!

KATHERINE GREY & JONAH GAYLE - THE INTERVIEW
by Felix McIntosh

[crowd applauding]
Felix: Hello and welcome to another Block Party post, by yours truly classicoverthinker, also known as Felix McIntosh. Today I have some extra special guests with me, the stars of 'The Evolution of Katherine Grey' and 'The Unwinding of Jonah Gayle'
[pauses, realizing that he just said their names]
Katherine Grey and Jonah Gayle!
Katherine & Jonah: Hello!
Felix: Before we begin, how about you guys tell us a little bit about your stories. No spoilers of course.
Jonah: The Unwinding of Jonah Gayle, follows a boy through his teen life as he faces the hardships of bullying and abuse both at school and in his home.
Katherine: The Evolution of Katherine Grey focuses on the struggle of being LGBT in a world and household that doesn't accept you for who you are.
Felix: Okay guys, thank you very much for that. Just like every standard interview. I have some questions for you, including some fan questions.
Jonah: Fan questions? Or questions from a fan?
Felix: Okay, this is what we're not going to do. Because of that I'm going to start with Katherine. [turns to Katherine] Katherine, at the time of this interview, your story had gone through several edits and three different endings. Would like to tell us about those endings?
Katherine: I see we're starting off strong today. But..uhm..to answer your question, all three endings including the current one, are sort of similar. However, they were different so that each had a unique impact on the story..
Felix: Wow! Can you share the first ending with us? If it's different from the current one of course.
Katherine: It is very much different. The first ending followed both Michael and myself to the very, very, very, very bitter end. But we still ended up in the same place. If you read the story you'll know what that means.
Felix: That's beautiful. Anyone who knows me, knows that I love reading a tragic ending, almost as much as I love writing them. Now, it isn't stated explicitly in the story, but just to be sure, you are transgender, am I correct?
Katherine: Yes. I am a transwoman. It is the main focus of the story, which is really about acceptance-- for all LGBT people, not just the trans community.
Felix: Now this is a fan question: What advice do you have for people going through the same thing you went through?
Katherine: That sounds difficult. Because, everyone faces different situations and teveryone has different responses to those situations. But my advice would be to just be yourself. It sounds cliche and it sounds generic, but it's true. We spend so much time in the closet and not enough time loving ourselves and who we are. We shouldn't wait on other people to accept us before we start accepting ourselves. And as one of my favourite people of all time says: "if you can't love yourself, how in the hell can you love somebody else?"
Felix: There is wisdom in what you speak Katherine Grey. To my understanding you have received a lot of positive feedback, and at the time of this interview have amassed a total of two hundred and two (202) comments from 2016 until now. People have expressed their sympathies and shared their stories, how do you feel about that?
Katherine: It is inspiring. I think there is more emotion in the comment section than the actual story--
Felix: Now, now, wait a minute!
Katherine: [laughing] It's true! It is just so much more touching and heart-warming to hear real life stories that fictional ones. And all these stories from these people, are just so passionate, so heartbreaking. I think my story serves its purpose in that sense. Where people know that they belong and they know that there is someone out there that they can relate to and connect with. That's what representation does for people. I honestly would love to see more of those stories on this platform.
Felix: I share your sentiments on that one. I think Wattpad as a community and as a whole, needs more stories like Katherine's to not only inspire but to share the truth. Now we take a break from Katherine Grey and turn our focus to Jonah Gayle. Hey, Jonah!
Jonah: [waving with both hands] Halloo!
Felix: Jonah, at the time of this interview, your story -- The Unwinding -- as not yet been published. What your concerns? Are you afraid that you won't be able to live up to the legacy of Katherine Grey?
Jonah: I'm not going to lie, I was. At first. But honestly, I'm too fabulous to feel threatened by her.
Katherine: HA!
Jonah: On a serious level, I'm not. Both our stories are very different, we tackle different issues in society. Her story focuses more on LGBT and acceptance, whereas my story handles the topic of bullying in schools and in the home.
Felix: That's lot of confidence, but with good reason. Fan question: Are you going to make readers cry at the end of the book and also, what is the message you want readers to take away from your story?
Jonah: Cry? I hope not..
Felix: [chuckles menacingly]
Jonah: I guess, that's up to you then...please don't kill me. As for the message, I really just wanna shed some light on how we treat each other in the world and what we can do to change that.
Felix: I'm sure, many readers look forward to reading your story. Katherine, is it a concern of yours, that Jonah may possibly outshine you?
Katherine: No, but only because I'm that b***h.
Felix: Oh my lord, we're going to have to censor that.
Jonah: Bad b****es don't j**** *** *****s.
Felix: JONAH! I said no spoilers. Alright, getting back into the mood. Based on the news we are hearing, your stories are actually apart of a trilogy. From that news, one can only infer that there will be a next book in the coming years. Is there anything you can tell us about that?
Jonah: Next book? I didn't hear anything about that. Katherine?
Katherine: I'm ****d, the hell do I know. Ask Felix.
Felix: And why would I be the holder of such delicate information?
Katherine: Because...you're...the author?
Jonah:
Katherine:
Felix:
Felix: [slowly closing notebook] Ladies and gentlemen that would be all the time we have for tonight. Thank you all for coming out and see you again sometime soon.
[walks off set in SHOOK]
