Hola my dear friends! How exciting to be a part of @KellyAnneBlount 's Wattpad Block Party once again! I am so grateful for this opportunity, and of course, I wouldn't be here without your constant support! So all I want to say is: I love you guys!

For this post I am presenting the Best Friends Series: A Jump into the Future, where we are going to be reading about our six characters' whereabouts in the year of 2008, ten years after they met.

Prologue

This is the story of six friends that met in 1998 in Belfast, Northern Ireland and began a friendship that has been nurtured along the years. 

They've all been together in the ups and downs that life has thrown their way, being there for each other and supporting and caring for one another, despite the time and distance.  

Each of them have their own story. Now we will learn what they are up to.

Let's start with Simona, our Romanian girl, whose long legs and beautiful blond hair helped her become a top model. She's not only one of the main names among the A-listers, but also was considered the next Gisele Bündchen. The funny thing is that she never planned to become a top model. It all began in the year 2000 in London, where she was discovered by a talent scout at a Summer festival where her friend Jack was singing, marking this as the day when both of their careers launched. Simona was backstage with her best friends Amelia and Kelly, having a great time together while dancing to the great music that was popular back in the year 2000 and laughing at anything and everything. That's how they are- three happy girls who have shared a special bond since they were 16. The scout approached Simona and gave her his card along with the promise of a brilliant future, and he kept truth to his word. Simona earned her fame immediately and became the favorite model of the most famous designers. But being the hardworking girl that she always was, she decided to invest her money on different business areas, becoming a successful tycoon.

All Jack wanted to do in his life was to play his music to the world and, after many years of hard work and many lyrics written, he had his big shot at a Summer Festival in London back in 2000. He was invited to play last minute to fill in the space the Gallagher Brothers have left open. He went there and showed his talent and started a successful career in the music business as a songwriter, musician and producer. His charismatic self is always appreciated by everyone around him. Being the lady's man, he is always surrounded by beautiful women, but that and the fame never kept him apart from his real friends.

When Kelly used to help her friends get ready for dates or have them in new makeovers, either after heartbreaks or just for new adventures in life, she wouldn't have guessed that she was starting to build her career in the fashion industry. Not as a model, although her beauty would tell you otherwise, but as a designer. She is not just any designer, but a renamed bridal wear designer with a list of clients that vary from Hollywood actresses to European Princesses. She knows she can always count on her friends, which is why she didn't hesitate to ask Simona to model at her first Fashion Show, reassuring the success of her first collection. Nowadays she has stores in Paris, New York, Japan, São Paulo and Sydney and everything points to her ascending success.

Tommy was always great at sports. He used to play in every team he could enter at school but he never expected to actually be hired by one of the biggest teams in England and in the world! His life changed when he was in a soccer match playing for his University's team, where he was invited for a tryout at the Manchester United's base. He ended up dropping college to invest in his football career, becoming one of the most famous soccer players in Europe followed and loved not only by his team's fans but also by his country's fans.

Millie has always been a romantic. Ever since she was a child, she used to fantasize of princes that would come and save her from many different hazards. All of her imaginary friends would keep her company anywhere she would go. When she started writing, she always kept a notebook with her to scribble down any new story that would pop up in her head and then develop it later on in the tranquility of her room using her old writing machine. Before she entered college she had written three books and never had the courage to publish them or even tell her best friends. She finally decided to send one of her manuscripts to a publishing house when she was in college. She got a fair contract and surprised her loved ones with her first book. Nowadays almost all her books have made it to the Best Selling lists and one of her sagas has been made into a movie.

When Jamie was seventeen, he thought he had his life planned out. He was dating his best friend, was captain of the Rugby team, and had planned to apply for a scholarship to Medical school, playing rugby, like his father. However, life had other plans. After playing with his friends with water balloons, he fell on his arm, breaking his wrist and his dreams of becoming a rugby player. He refused to accept his father's offer to pay for his university and moved to London, leaving his girlfriend and best friends behind. It was in London where he was offered a job as a Calvin Klein model, which was very attractive at the time. It helped pay the bills and pay for Drama School, where he graduated with honors and started his career in the movie industry as an actor. His major role was playing the protagonist in his friend's Millie's movie, making their relationship stronger and healing their past.

St. Thomas, Summer 2008

The beautiful Caribbean island of St. Thomas, famous for its natural beauty and breathtaking snorkeling spots, wasn't ready to receive this group of friends who decided to hold their annual vacation on the island. They rented a posh villa to spend a week there. Some of them haven't seen each other much after their last holiday and others are hoping to work on some issues with their best friends. Since money is not a problem nowadays, they've opted to have only the best for this holiday.

Having finished his tour two weeks ago, Jack wanted to be the first one to get on the island, but travelling alone is not as attractive as travelling with an old mate, and that is what Jamie was to him. Jamie and Jack have been friends since Jack's family moved from Italy into Jamie's neighborhood. Jamie was his first friend and accomplice. So when Jack called Jamie to take the first flight with him, Jamie dropped everything he was doing and tagged along with his mate.

The two handsome men arrived at their St. Thomas villa before lunch and were very hungry, so they couldn't help but be very impressed when they found a table full of fruits and food for them by the pool.

The butler took their luggage into their rooms and asked them to make themselves at home. Jamie took a seat and served himself a plate of black beans and fish. Jack grabbed a beer and handed it to Jamie, then had one himself and, as his friend, made himself a plate. 

After a couple of hours, the two friends had enough time to catch up with their lives. Jamie was feeling a little sleepy so he went to his room to take a nap. Jack, on the other hand, felt like making something special to wait for his other four friends, so he decided to make his mom's special Spaghetti recipe to welcome them. His cooking skills are truly appreciated by his beloved mates so he is trying to impress them with his very best. While the sauce was slowly cooking, he was having a beer by the pool enjoying the beautiful St. Thomas view when he saw a tall blonde figure walking his way. He smiled broadly at his best friend, the super model.

"Do you always walk like that?" He lifted an eyebrow while checking out Simona's long legs.

"Like what?" Simona faked innocence. She knew very well what an impact she has on men, especially Jack, who couldn't avoid a perfect opportunity to flirt with her.

Jack laughed and walked to her to help her with her luggage. He kissed both her cheeks hello and noticed Kelly talking to the butler at the door. Jack's smile broadened, of course the fashion ladies would be travelling along.

"Hey Kells!" Kelly met his eyes and smiled sweetly. She handed her luggage to the butler and walked to him, giving him a tight hug.

"Hello Jacks!" He twirled her around and made her giggle. "You girls definitely belong to the Caribbean! Both of you look gorgeous!" 

Simona walks past him giggling. She knew better than to take Jack seriously, but she loves her friend and appreciates his compliments. She takes a beer from the cooler next to Jack's seat and sits down, taking off her sandals.

"Are you by yourself, Jack?" Kelly asks while following her friend's steps. 

"No, Jamie came with me. He is taking a nap now."

"I'm so glad he is here! He's been acting weirdly after Tommy's birthday party," Kelly mentioned with concern in her voice while accepting the bottle of beer that Simona was handing her.

Jack couldn't agree more. Of course Jamie has been acting weirdly after that party. He met Millie's new boyfriend there and had to sit and watch them be happy while her parents were planning their future wedding and how many grandkids they wanted.

Jamie has always loved Millie but he screwed things up when he distanced himself from her and everyone else after his accident. He was heartbroken. His future had been destroyed but instead of going to Millie for support, he left her and didn't talk to her for a year. She was devastated; she had not only lost her boyfriend but her best friend. Millie and Jamie had always shared a special bond, and being separated broke them both. 

As Jack was finishing setting the dinner table, the Carlson siblings made their entrance: Tommy, who was carrying both of their luggage, and Millie, who was trying desperately to wipe something off of her white dress. By the look of the stain, she wasn't going to be able to wipe it off.

"What happened?" Simona ran to her best friend. 

"This man was trying to call a taxi while pushing his luggage and drinking some coffee. Of course he almost fell down and dropped the coffee on me!" Millie was upset - she knew the stain would never come out.

"Who drinks coffee at this time, anyways?" Kelly examined the stain and shook her head while looking at Millie, confirming her thoughts.

"Argh! I'll go change!" Millie grabbed her suitcase from the butler's hand and stormed off without even asking where her room was.

Tommy gave the butler an apologetic look and hugged his friends hello. Being a famous soccer player wasn't easy. He never had time to go back home or see his mates. The last time he saw them was on his birthday, a couple of months ago.

Meanwhile, Millie walked to the second floor and entered a room without thinking that it might be occupied. She just walked in, left her suitcase by the door and went straight to the bathroom to take a shower so she could get rid of the smell of old coffee.

Jamie heard a noise and began to wake up. He was a bit drowsy from his nap but fully woke up when he heard the water running in his shower. He smiled at the thought of a drunken Jack trying to sober up before the rest of their friends arrived. Needing to empty his bladder he walked into the bathroom and did his business when the water stopped. Suddenly the shower box opened to reveal the most beautiful girl he has ever seen standing naked in front of him. He rubbed his eyes to see if it was true what he was seeing or just a vision, but he realized it was true when he heard Millie's high pitch scream.

"Hey! Hey! Mills! It's me! Calm down, please." He tried fixing up his pants while Millie was desperately covering her body with a towel. A few seconds later, she was covered and he was relieved she hadn't hit him with something, so he started chuckling.

"I can't believe you! What on Earth are you doing in my bathroom?" Millie walked past him and put her suitcase on the bed but frown when she saw the bed unmade.

"It's actually my bedroom. I was sleeping here when you just decided to take a shower in my bathroom." Jamie couldn't erase the grin on his face. He knew Millie was mentally kicking herself for not checking the bedroom first.

"Gosh! Sorry! I was in desperate need of a shower. I'll go change in another room." She tried moving her suitcase but Jamie stopped her.

"Chill out Mills. Change here. I can move to another room, or you can find yourself a room later, but I won't let you walk around in that towel. There's a butler here that ghostly appears to see if you need anything."

Millie giggled at Jamie's silly remark.

"OK, I'll change here." Jamie made a move to walk out of the room but Millie stopped him to kiss him on the cheek.

"I didn't even say hello to you." Jamie's heart melted and gave her his shy smile, the one Millie loves so much.

"Hello, Mills." Silence reigned the room for an entire minute while Jamie and Millie were lost in their eyes. Then Millie remembered that this is her best friend and that she actually has a boyfriend, so she clears her throat.

"I'll be down in five minutes."

"Alright, see you." Jamie's cheeks were tainted a shade of pink. He was about to forget they were just friends and kiss her. He missed her lips so much and felt really sad when he realized what he'd lost. They could be married by now.

When Jamie reached his friends, his heart warmed up a little. He was so happy to be there with them. He stood quietly taking in the scene. Simona was helping Jack choose the wine. Kelly was showing Tommy some pictures on her phone. They were involved in deep conversation when he turned around and saw his girl coming down the stairs. He had all his beloved ones in one room and he loved it.

Maybe Millie wasn't his girl anymore, but he realized how much he wanted her back. And he was going to start winning her back. This trip would mark a new stage in their relationship.

"Are you stalking them?" Jamie chuckled. He loved it when Millie teased him.

He took her hand in his and walked into the living room, noticing that the chemistry between them was still there.

After Millie and Jamie joined their friends at the beautiful dinner table, they all sat down to enjoy the meal and start their annual holidays with a toast.

"To Friendship!"
