Part One

"Hello?This is Aki."
"Hey Aki,it's me."
"Rin!What's up?You haven't called in a while."
"Sorry,I've been so busy.How you been?"
"Well,LONELY!And it's all your fault."A giggle."Nah,I'm just teasing."
"I've been great!I'm finally getting used to having my own place."
"That's good.Actually,I'm calling because I have a favor to ask."
"Lemme guess,you need me to hold evidence for you?"
A laugh."Sharp as always!I just don't feel safe keeping the evidence here."
"Gotcha.So what is it?"
"It's a clock made to look like the statue 'The Thinker'.And it tells you the time!"
"Ah,I should probably tell you.The clock isn't working right now."
A sigh of disappointment."Aw,that's no fun!"
"Sorry,I had to take the clockwork out and put some papers in instead."
"Oh,is that the evidence then?"
"Hm,maybe.Can you come by the office around 9 to pick it up?"
"Sure!But I expect dinner!Something like...burgers!"
Another laugh."Alright.See you tonight,Aki."

"Now,Miss Fey..I'll be taking what's mine.The papers."
Rin stared at the man,feigning innocence."What papers?I don't have them."
The man chuckled."Darling,I see them right over there.They must be in 'The Thinker'."
"How...did you know?"
He smirked."You should've been more careful,dear.Now,I must ask for one more thing..."
Grabbing 'The Thinker' off of the desk,the man lunged at Rin,an evil glare in his eyes.

"Your eternal silence!"

Nicholas cursed under his breath."I'm late...did Rin go home already?"
Then he smelled it.It was a scent he didn't want to smell."Blood?...Rin!"

Running into the office,he looked around."Rin?!"
There was a quiet sob from the left wall."S-Sis..."Nicholas turned in the direction of the voice.There was a girl with glasses and wearing some strange clothing.And she was crouched next to Rin's body.He walked over,his eyes widening."Rin...?Rin!"
Turning to the girl,he stood up,the girl doing so as well."Who are you?"he asked."

Without getting an answer,the girl fell to the floor.She had passed out.He picked her up,carried her to the office sofa,and set her down on it,then returned to Rin's body.Crouching down next to her,Nicholas held her shoulder,feeling warmth for only a few moments.Then it was cold."She really is dead..."Then he noticed the slip of paper in Rin's hand.He carefully pulled the slip out of her hand,reading the word written in blood:'Aki'."Huh..."He stood back up,walking over to the phone."I-I should call the police...wait,what?"A few screws on the receiver were missing.Before Nicholas could say anything,he heard a scream from outside the window."P-Police!Please come help!"There was a woman with purple hair and a phone in her hand."Oh hey she's like April May,big boo-wait what?"

Leaving the office,he glanced at the office sofa."Wait,where'd the girl go?"Turning around,he saw the girl standing right there."Aah!Don't startle me like that!Um..what's your name?"The girl hesitated."Um...Aki Fey."Aki...that was what was on the piece of paper!Nicholas pulled the piece of paper,showing it to Aki."T-That's...my name!W-Why...why would Rin write my name?!""I don't know....Hopefully we can find Aki to why-"Aki cut him off,glaring up at Nicholas."Was that a pun?"He hesitated."...Maybe."She rolled her eyes."Just...no."

In the distance,there were police sirens going off."Whee-oo!Whee-oo!"Aki's eyes widened."H-Huh?"
A man barged through the door,glaring at Nicholas,then at Aki."Freeze!Hands in the air!"The man cleared his throat,pulling out an ID."Name's Detective Derpy-""Derpy?""-Hush!Detective Derpy Gumshoe!We received a report from a lady across the way,see.Said she saw a murder."

Seeing the paper I still held in my hand,the detective's eyes widened,and he turned to Aki."Does this name mean anything to you,young lady?"She started shaking a bit,shrinking back."U-Um,that's my name..""Whaat?!The victim wrote this in her own blood!With her dying breath,she wrote the killer's name!"Nicholas and Aki were both surprised."K-Killer?!I-I'm not..."Derpy didn't listen,instead grabbing her arm."Case closed!You're coming to the precinct with me,ma'am!"Her eyes widened,tears already forming."P-Precinct?!"
