Welcome to all things March! Spring is near, although winter still lingers. I don't know about where you are, but in Texas it can be 75 degrees Monday and 50 by Wednesday. Even in that madness, the day still awaits. Are you ready to tackle it? Cheerfully?

Here's to the days ahead. When all we want awaits, and things long forgotten are left behind. We're older now, hopefully bolder by now, and the best part of life is just beginning. Can you see it? Do you want it?

Imagine the caterpillar. Now, see it flutter as a newly released mammoth butterfly. Have you ever wondered what its transformation looks like? What really happens when we begin to see ourselves as we truly are? Do we believe we can be, or do we succumb to what we think we are? Perhaps, even, what others want us to be?

Well, I say play your entire hand. Lay all the cards on the table and smile. Queen of Hearts or Ace of Spades, your hand is yours. What you choose to do with it is up to you. You win some, you lose some. Just play fair.

Take the butterfly, for example. Even when its free from the cocoon, did you know it still just hangs around a good four hours until its wings are strong enough to fly? Well, what do you do with your time? Simple. You wait it out. Sometimes, we all need to be reminded that being busy isn't enough. Just because we're all doing doesn't mean we're good at whatever we're working on. There are times when each of us could afford to just chill out. (Waving my arms.) You've found a tree, made yourself a cozy little home and outgrown it, now you've broken out of it and you're just there... hanging around. I'm sure while that may not be part of your plan, rest assuredly it is part of an even bigger one. Somewhere, someone is waiting on you to get it together. Friends, family, even haters are waiting to see what exactly is it you're going to do when you come down from there. So, I say, surprise 'em.

Make a list, check it twice and post it up. Commit it to memory, put it on the fridge, the computer screen, the bathroom mirror, or anywhere else you deem necessary. Why? Because, this time, we're not settling. We all have dreams and God-given abilities. We all have weaknesses and strengths that are working together to bring us into our life's purpose. Make no mistake about; you matter.

Whether you want to or not, you already are. Your greatest gift, your greatest fear and your greatest potential has already been started. You can crawl or you can fly. The choice is yours. I'm sure life is a lot better from up there than it is down here. Break free, come forth and live well. Life is full of opportunities, but you must take chances.

This spring, as the flowers bloom and the birds sing, stay positive and be focused. Your wish is at your own command. It's March y'all. Let's shed some skin and get moving!
