The sun reflected onto his flawless creme skin, making his golden hair glitter. His eyes were closed as he leaned back in his chair, letting his head hang over, soaking in the sun.

I had to bite my lip to fight the urges. I wanted to touch his skin so badly, to feel his body against mine, to hold his hand, to be his.

I wanted Evian Lucerne, Captain of the Sharks, our swim team, and it's just getting worse. My eyes moved down his lean form coming across a tribal fin tattoo on his forearm.

"Nice tattoo." I awed from beside him.

"Hmmm?"

"Your tattoo."

His eyes opened smoothly shooting to me.

"I got it when I turned 16."

Before I could stop myself I brushed my finger lightly against it. Our eyes locked. Something passed between us.

"It's beautiful." I said barely above a whisper. His eyes didn't leave mine as he gave a slight nod.

That's when I decided I was going to tell him that I liked him. He had swim practice after school. I would tell him afterwards.

Before I knew it I was standing in front of the entrance to the pool. Practice had ended a few minutes ago.

I walked in before I could change my  mind. I was met with the strong smell of chlorine and humidity.

Here I go. I whispered to myself. I walked through a door to find the huge pool. Evian was standing beside it, looking down at the water.

"Evian."

His eyes shot to mine, surprised. "Ara?" He asked walking toward me. I gave him a smile as soon as he was only a foot away. I stared into his ocean blue eyes for a few minutes before speaking.

"I like you, Evian."

He averted his eyes to the pool beside us. The light indulations reflected on the ceiling and him.

"I know..."  He gave me his million dollar smile, closing the space between us. "But, I...can't be in a relationship right now."

My heart skipped a beat then stopped all together. It felt as if someone ripped my heart out of my chest. A burning tear fell from my eye.

"Ara..." He whispered with sad eyes. I took a step back. "I'm so sorry."

I shook my head through the tears as my lip trembled. "You don't want me."

I took a miscalculated step falling into the pool. I couldn't swim. I was taking in too much water. I blacked out.

When I came to, someone was helping me to the edge of the pool. I opened my eyes finding Evian but he was shockingly different.

He had a mermaid tale in place of his legs.

"Evian?"

"Please don't freak out." He begged.

"Why would I? You're beautiful."

His cheeks went over in crimson.

"How?" I asked.

"I can control it."

"And, I can't control this." I whispered pushing my lips into his. His arms around my body tightened as he deepened the kiss.
