The First Day of Swimming Together, And Real Names...

(Here's another chapter! I'm really inspired to write this, so it'll be for a couple days until I run out of ideas! Enjoy reading!)

I sighed, looking up at the ceiling when I'm taking my bath. I'm still deciding weather I should quit the art club and join them, or I should stay with the art club and turn them down. I sighed, exasperated. Taking baths always helped, but I'd rather be in a pool, to bad we don't have one. I emerged myself into the water, thinking to myself, Should I join the swim team, or should I keep the trust I put into others, and stay in the art club? I groaned and stayed underwater until I heard someone's voice and I quickly get my head up out of the water to breath.

"Hey, Ryu, I'm coming in, are you taking a bath?" I heard Gou said, while she walked into the bathroom. "Come on, get dressed, you can come swim when we get to school at break." She giggled and I got out of water, towel drying myself and slipped on a pair of jeans, a white shirt, and a purple sweater this time today. I brushed my hair quickly, and I threw on some shoes, grabbing my lunch, and I jogged out of the house.

"Bye mom, see you after practice." "Bye, don't be home later than 7 ok?!" I nodded and kept jogging with Gou on my side. I promised her that I'd help her keep in shape, ever since she fangirled over the muscles the boys had at practice the other day. She seemed to like my build also, even though I was a girl, I still kept in shape and I kind of have a four pack and big muscles, but it wasn't too showy, like the boys.

Gou was panting like a dog when we reached the school, and I sighed, shaking my head. "You won't ever be in shape if you don't get used to these conditions. Now, come on, let's get to class." I looked at my watch to see my punctuality got us here at exactly 7:30. I nodded in satisfactory and started walking normally in no time while Gou was still recovering.

(Time-Skip To Break and Lunch)

I sat on the rooftop by the railing, as usual, but some people wanted to join me today, and boy, were they stubborn to just sit and eat with me. I stayed silent, along with Dolphin, while Gou, Penguin and Orca were talking. "Hey, Ryu, what are you eating?" I blinked and looked up at Penguin and said, "My infamous crab with sushi and some vegetables. It's a good diet, if you put your mind into it, to have an athlete perfectly healthy."

He seemed to be awed and I went back to eating, not really bothering to pitch into any of the conversation, but only one word that they said caught my attention. "Pool." I looked up with a sparkle in my eye, and I saw that Orca said it, and he smiled in victory. "I told you that would get her attention, Makoto!" Gou smiled and I looked back down, and I saw that I finished eating, so I packed everything up, and I went to go to the pool. "Gou, are you going to get more members or follow me?"

"Well, I'm going to get more members, and it seems that Nagisa has an eye out for someone, so I'll be with you later at practice, ok?" I nodded and went to the pool, stripping off my clothes, since I was already in my swimsuit, while the others seemed to be headed to the track. "Why do the others plan to be there...? Maybe, there's a person in there that has really strong legs, and Penguin wants he or she to join..." I smiled and shook my head, putting on my goggle and swim cap, and jumped into the water, doing my usual laps.

(Time-Skip To The Club Time!)

I sat down at a table at the art club, and started drawing sea creatures, and shadows of birds over them, casting some darkness onto the fins. Everyone seemed to like my drawing, and then I heard someone come in and I looked up, and saw Dolphin. "Dolphin...? Why are you here?" I said, surprised, and he sat down next to me, and got out a piece of wood, and started carving on it. The art people started fangirling over him and I raised a brow, and then he finally said, "I came to get you, we have a new member, and he's from the track team. Are you coming or not...?"

I blinked and looked down, seeing that he carved the schools mascot for the swim team, and I sighed, looking down. "Ryu, you should totally join the swim team, you have a great amount of skills!" Gou's voice echoed in my head and the art club yelled, "Go join the swim team!" I looked up with wide eyes and said, "Are you sure you want me to leave...?" They nodded excitedly and I smiled a small smile, and I saw Dolphin's expression of surprise.

"Well, what are we waiting for, Haru? Let's go!" Haru has finally earned my trust, and I bet he's super happy about that, so he got up also, and we grabbed our things, and jogged off to the pool. I saw a boy that was probably in first year, and waved a bit to him. "So, you're the boy from the track team? Do you have any swimming experience?" Everyone turned towards me and they all yelled, except the Butterfly, "Ryu! You're actually here!"

I nodded and said, "Of course I am, I was eventually convinced when Haru came to get me." Gou smiled and clapped, "Yay, Haru got her trust, great job!" Orca and Penguin looked disappointed, but Butterfly was confused. "Oh, and by the way," I pointed to him and said, "Your name is now Butterfly until you have earned my trust, you got it? Now, you two still have a chance to win, since there is fewer people, remember, there is still Shark Tooth that you have to deal with!" Orca, Penguin, and Butterfly looked thrilled, then Butterfly said, "My name is Rei, just to tell you."

I rolled my eyes and waved my hand. "Yeah, yeah, good luck Butterfly, when you keep that attitude up, you'll only push me further away." I stripped out of my clothes and Orca freaked out a bit, and I put on my swim cap and goggles, diving into the pool, Haru following suit. We swam for a couple of hours, my muscles getting stronger. I saw the Basking Shark while swimming, making me go harder and faster, amazing the boys and Gou.

After practice, Gou asked, "Hey, Ryu, do you think that we would be able to stay at your house and celebrate?" I smiled rolled my eyes. "You just wanna eat my cooking today, don't you?" She blushed in embarrassment, and said, "Well, yeah, but we need to celebrate too, for getting a team!" I sighed and nodded, saying, "That's fine, I'll have to cook for eight today, correct?"

She nodded, cheering and yelled, "Hey guys! She agreed with celebrating today, and she's going to cook!" I heard everyone cheer, except for Butterfly, who looked confused, but Haru stayed emotionless and he said, "I'm going to cook with you today, right?" I nodded and I started jogging home, with everyone following me, Gou a bit behind. When we got to my home, I opened the door and yelled, "Mom, I'm back, we have company!" We picked Shark Tooth on the way here so I'd still be cooking for eight.

Haru and I set for the kitchen, throwing on some aprons, and started cooking on some noodles, my infamous crab, rice, Origiri, and sushi, as usual. I heard my mother was speaking to all of them happily, and I shook my head, and continued cooking. When I finally finished cooking with Haru, we brought in the dishes of food and made another trip to get some plates, since we both just had two hands, it was hard to carry all the food like this. My mother smiled up at me and said, "Wow, you have met quite the group haven't you?" I nodded and sat down by Haru and Orca, with Shark Tooth in front of me and started eating.

I stayed quiet, while Haru and the others were talking, and then I heard that word again. "Pool." I looked up at Orca and he smiled down at me, asking, "So, what animals are your favorite, Ryu?" I blinked and a soft smile graced my features, and everyone stared in awe and I said, "I love Basking Sharks, their the best creature ever, their beautiful to draw if you get it just right." Orca blushed a bit at my smile, and I looked back down, and continued eating.

Shark Tooth then asked, "Why do you call us different animals, Ryu? It seems irrelevant." I looked back up and said, "I don't always call someone an animal, as for instance, I called the leader of the art club Paintbrush, since he was so good at painting with water colors." He nodded and Gou said, "She used to called me Glee, I guess she gets it from looking at their personality and build, and sometimes their features." He nodded again and then Haru said, "She seems to like underwater creatures though, have you called anyone else something?" I nodded and said, "I met this one girl and I called her Eagle, she had a strong personality, and she seemed to love the sky, and the stars. It's always about someone's personality and what they like that I base it of as."

Everyone then went quiet and I went back to eating, along with everyone else. After we were finished, Orca and Haru stayed after everyone left and I said goodbye to them. "What's up?" I looked at them and Orca blushed and rubbed the back of his head. "Well, we were wondering if you would like to join us on a jog tomorrow, since tomorrow's Friday, we could hang out." Haru nodded in agreement and I thought for a second.

"Well, that would be nice, maybe I could." I nodded and smiled a small smile. "Yeah, that sounds nice." Haru and Orca nodded, and said their goodbyes and left. "Thank you, Ryu, for cooking tonight." My mother said I nodded. "You're welcome, I'm going to my room to finish some homework and I'm planning on taking a night jog, that ok?" She nodded and smiled, going back to her working space.

Today has been good day...I hope we could do that again one day. I smiled and got my hoodie and put on a pair of tennis shoes, and put my hood on, and started jogging outside by the beach. I had my phone to listen to some music, and I got a text message, seeing that Gou wanted me to pass my number out to everyone, and I replied back, saying that it was fine. After about ten minutes, I got about six messages, and I sighed, looking at all of them, putting their nicknames and real names in for their ID. I saw a dark figure and kept jogging, flicking my eyes over to the male.

It kind of looked like Makoto...or maybe it was Makoto. I saw a bright light flash from his phone, and I saw him smile a bit. I only texted Makoto, since everyone else said who they were, but Makoto wanted to talk. I stopped and tapped his shoulder, having him turn around. "Hey, Makoto, what's up?"

He turned around, his eyes widening, and a gleeful smile gracing his facial features. "You called me by my name! You called me Makoto!" He suddenly hugged me and I blushed slightly from the sudden movement and uncomfortably wiggled slightly, saying, "M-Makoto, can you please let go of me?" I wasn't used to physical touches of affection, and he let go of me, saying, "Sorry, I got excited that you called me by my name." I nodded slightly, saying, "It's alright, I knew it would be time to call you by your name, right?"

Makoto smiled and nodded, patting my head. "Yeah, thank you." I nodded and thought to myself, Another has earned my trust, let's see what the people will do with my trust. Will they play with it and loose it, or will they hold it like glass, and never break it? We'll see. I smiled up at him, and nodded again. "You're welcome."
