Hanging Out And Dreams...

(Two chapters in one day! I'm on a role! Enjoy reading everyone!)

My memory flickered back to the talk Makoto and I had. We were learning a lot about each other while we were both jogging, it was cool yesterday, but it was great to see a smile appear onto his face while heard me call him by his name. I sank into the water, and I heard someone's voice from outside and thought it was Gou, so I just stayed in the water. What I heard was surprising, it was two sets of footsteps, so I guess You brought her brother along. "Ryu, I'm coming in, are you decent because Rin's here."

I popped my head out of the water and saw Shark Tooth and Gou, and Shark Tooth was blushing a bit. "What's up?" I flicked my hair back and got out of the water, being in my swimsuit. The only time I wasn't in it was when I was at home or when I went to sleep. I heard Shark Tooth mumble, "Nothing much, Gou recommended we should stop by here, to see if you went to school, or you were in the bath, as Gou sees you do this every morning." I nodded and dried myself, getting a new pair of jeans, a white t-shirt and a red sweater.

"Alright, let's go." I grabbed my stuff and jogged out, Shark Tooth keeping up with me while Gou had a hard time catching up. I huffed quietly, and saw Makoto and Haru, and I waved to them, and they waved back once they saw me. I looked back forward and continued jogging, getting to the front in half an hour. "Great job Gou, you did better than last time." She nodded in thanks, panting quietly, and walked with me to class while Shark Tooth went to his own school.

I walked into the classroom, and everything went to holy hell. We had a pop quiz today and the classroom was freaking out, well, except for me. Some people were worrying because they one, never did their homework, or, two, never studied. I sat down at my desk and got out a pad of drawing paper, and started drawing. Even though I wasn't in the art club any more, I still drew, since it was on of my favorite hobbies.

Gou asked me to draw her a few days ago, and now I was putting the final touches onto the drawing, I was just coloring it, and she looked over my shoulder and gasped in amazement. "Wow, where did you learn to draw?!" I chuckled and said, "Years of practice, my friend. Years and years of practice." I gave her the drawing and she smiled, taking it, and gave me a picture of her brother. "Do you think you can draw him? You can have this picture to base off of, so you can work on it in your free time!"

I nodded and said, "I don't mind at all." I put away my things as the school bell rung, and began to take the test.

(Time-Skip To Break and Lunch!)

Today, her brother decided to eat lunch with us, so he sat near the railing with me and the others, while I continued drawing, not noticing he was here. I then heard him speak while he said, "How have you been, Ryu?" I looked over to him and said, "Fine, you?" I looked back down and heard a 'good' and continued drawing, while eating my lunch also. I saw Gou look over and she looked amazed but kept quiet, knowing I need silence, or at least not a lot of talking while I drew.

I finally finished sketching it out, and I started coloring it, handing the picture back to Gou. Makoto looked over my shoulder and he said, "Wow, Ryu, you're really good at drawing!" I nodded and hummed, and continued coloring, adding in shading affects to make it look better. Shark Tooth finally looked over and he looked awestruck. "Wow..." He mumbled and I finished, handing it to him.

"Here you go, Gou asked me to draw it, so you can keep it." He took it, and smiled his shark-like smile, and said, "Thanks, Ryutsuki. I really appreciate it." I nodded and finished my lunch and headed down to the pool, the other's following me. I stripped down out of my clothes and did what I regularly did, and the day ended quickly, making it to where I was going to hang out with Haru and Makoto. I yelled to my mom ,after making some dinner for mom and some quick snacks, "Bye mom, I'm going to go take a jog and hang out with Haru and Makoto!"

"Ok sweetie, don't come home too late, ok!" I nodded and jogged out of my house with the small bag in my hand, and started walking to the address Makoto gave to me. I mumbled to myself while looking up some steps, "This must be the place..." I walked up the steps to Makoto's house and knocked on the door, hearing some laughing children and Makoto's voice. I smiled softly, wishing that I had some siblings, but went back to my straight face.

Makoto opened the door and looked thrilled. "Hey Ryu! Come in while I get ready to leave, ok?" I nodded and walked inside, my legs being hugged by two children. "We heard so much about you! Are you Ryu?" I nodded and blinked, patting both of their heads.

"Yeah, that's my name, and how much have you heard about me?" I crouched down to the children's height, smiling a small smile at them. "A lot, Mako likes to talk to us about you a lot!" "Is that so? Well, I like to talk about my friend's too, did you know that?" They shook their heads and I heard footsteps, and looked up, seeing Makoto.

"I see you're getting along with my brother and sister, Ren and Ran." Makoto chuckled and I nodded, standing up. "They're sweet, they seem to be very found of you," Ren and Ran ran somewhere else and I smiled, saying, "Shall we leave now?" He nodded and we went to go get Haru, his house not being very far away from his. We walked up the stairs and I waited in the living room, waiting for Makoto to retrieve Haru, nibbling on an Origiri that I brought with me.

"Hey Ryu." I looked up and saw Haru. "Hey, you ready to go?" He nodded and I got up from my spot on the floor and walked out the door. "If you guys are hungry, I made snacks (I almost put snakes XD) for you guys to eat." Makoto nodded, and smiled thankfully, and we started our jog.

I was careful with the bag of food, knowing that if I trip, it's gone, but I barely tripped since I wasn't very clumsy, so I was good. After an hour of exercise, we sat down by the docks and ate the snacks I brought with me. I was given compliments, but we mostly stayed quiet, the atmosphere being comfortable. I laid down on the soft grass under a tree and closed my eyes, sighing quietly, Makoto and Haru following in suit. "So, Ryu, how did you not have any friends until this year? Weren't you kind of lonely?" I heard Makoto say, and my eyes opened.

"..." I sighed and finally said, "Well, I was, but I had a hard time recovering from my only friend leaving me for the U.S.A., since he was a great soccer player." I sighed and I heard silence. "Anyway," I sat up. "What do you two like to do for fun?" I got an obvious answer in my head and I heard Haru say, "Swim." Makoto chuckled and he said, "Same, it seems like one of the first things to pop up."

"Well, I'm in my swim suit, so anyone up for a swim?" Haru quickly got off and stripped, sprinting towards the beach water. I chuckled and got up, taking my clothes off also, and followed him. "What up!" I saw Makoto take out a swimsuit and ran towards the changing area and soon joined us in the water. I floated on top of the water, relaxed, until I got water splashed onto my face.

I stood up, and smirked up at Makoto. "Oh, you're on." Haru, Makoto, and I started a water fight, and when we were done and tired, we just sat in the water, smiling softly up at the moonlit sky. It was beautiful, and I brought my knees up to my chest, thinking over about the past few weeks with spending with the boys. So fair, I've made three friends, and Shark Tooth was slowly becoming one. I looked up and smiled softly, a smile that Makoto and Haru have seen, and I have been getting used to.

I got up and said, "Shall we head home? My mom will worry about me if I'm not home soon." They nodded and got up with me, and we soon got dried off and I put my clothes back on, and we went our separate ways home after saying our goodbyes.

(Time-Skip To DreamLand!)

I smiled, floating in water, with my friend that I miss so dearly. We were so much alike, that everyone thought that we were twins, even though we didn't look the same. It was summer, and Kaito was excited to have joined a soccer team. Soccer was his favorite sport, while swimming was mine. It was that summer when he moved, because of his soccer skills.

I was so angry, but sorrowful at the same time. I yelled at the blonde boy with bright red eyes, "Why would you leave to go to America?! It's not fair!" My eyes were brimmed with tears while I was looking at him with my angry purple eyes. "I'm sorry Ryu, I'm going to fulfil my dream of being a soccer star!" I growled and pulled him by his shirt collar and yelled, "Don't you know how much I would miss you?! Are you just an arrogant jerk, or are you my best friend?! Choose Kaito!"

I let go of his collar and looked down at the ground, the tears going down to my cheeks. "I'm sorry...Ryu, if I ever fail in my dream, I will come back, and I promise I will write to you!" I sniffed and I looked to the side, away from his ruby red eyes. "P-Promise...?" He smiled and said, "Promise, I cross my heart!" I looked up and hugged him, sighing in relief, saying, "Tank you..."

After a year he stopped writing, making me miserable and I started shutting myself out from everyone. I kept on thinking he forgot about me, forgetting I was even here, forgetting that I was waiting for him. Ever since I got to the point where I frowned almost all the time, I started having trust issues, making it hard for me to make friends. He knows I have a hard time with making friends, he had to come talk to me, not me talk to him. If only I could tell someone this, they would understand why I push everyone away.

He left when I was ten years old, and now it's been four years since he left, I'm now fourteen, and I've met some pretty cool people, that may be able to get me to come out of my shell, and maybe help me get over the fact he may of forgotten me. I suddenly woke up when I fell on the ground and I sighed, rubbing my head. "What a freaky dream...and why did it go to that...?" I looked over to a pile of letters that I still kept that had the nice handwriting of Kaito. I sighed and opened the last letter that I have received from him.

I read over it and teared up, and started to cry, putting it down. I was so hurt that he stopped writing. I wasn't trying to be selfish, but he was the closest friend I ever had, we were glued together, hip to hip, it was crazy. I just wish I could see him one last time, before he officially leaves my mind. "If only I could see him, this wouldn't have been a huge issue..."

My mother came into my room and saw me on the floor in my black oversized t-shirt and shorts, seeing the letter in my hand, and hearing me cry. "Sweetie, are you ok...?" She keeled down by me and hugged me, and I hugged her back. "I-If only I c-could see K-Kaito one more t-time..." I whispered, and she rubbed my back, saying, "I know how much he meant to you, we have to work through this together..." I nodded and cried, and soon fell asleep.

If only I could see him just one more time, just once...
