He got back with her, in the end.

Richard was a 16 year old pansexual, also a sophomore, and had never been in any real relationships, but had a few schoolboy crushes. Like Samuel. Richard went to a magnet school now, but back in the day, Samuel and Richard were in the same classes every year for 9 years since preschool.

Samuel was utterly devastated that he couldn't see Richard everyday. They had become boyfriends not long ago, and it really tore at Richard.

Every time that they saw each other, Richard had to start checking Sam's arms. It hurt Richard that Samuel, the boy he'd loved since third grade, had started... cutting himself.
