why is it always something? like, i can't go a week without there being something
IT HAD BEEN the next school day after Heather's birthday party that everything began to escalate.
The bruises on Lydia and Allison's wrist's that were caused by a woman, was seemingly not some random mark, but a symbol that could mean something. It could possibly lead them to Erica and Boyd.
The only person that didn't believe the whole thing was Derek. No surprise there.
"After everything... this man should believe them," Josie stated with a frown.
Jed's eyes widened because now that he has gotten to see this so called 'Derek' in better lighting, he's... good looking.
He stood in front of the small group of teenagers, arms crossed sternly. He glanced down at the two girls' wrists, shaking his head. "I don't see anything."
"Look again," Scott insisted, trying to get Derek to consider hearing them out. Boyd and Erica were still missing which meant they needed to find anything that could lead them to them.
"How is a bruise going to tell me where Boyd and Erica are?" Derek asked, his voice hardening.
Hope huffed at him. "It's the same on both sides. It has to mean something."
He simply shook his head. "It's nothing."
Lydia smacked her lips, looking up at Derek. "Pareidolia. Seeing patterns that aren't there." When no one spoke, she sighed. "It's a subset of apophenia."
"She's so smart," Davina commented, "I like her."
Scott looked back toward Derek, "They're trying to help."
"These two? This one—" Derek pointed at Lydia, "who used me to resurrect my psychotic uncle. Thank you." His voice was dripping with sarcasm. "And this one—" he pointed at Allison, "who shot about thirty arrows into me and my pack."
Jed eyes widened. "Oh, damn..."
"Still not over her betraying my daughter," Hayley commented with crossed arms. Klaus nodded along, grinding his teeth together at the thought of the Argent girl wanting to hurt his daughter.
The tribrid knew she couldn't say much on the subject of Lydia bringing back Peter seeing as she wasn't around, but she knew the girl wasn't in control of herself. It wasn't her fault.
"Okay, all right, now, come on," Stiles interrupted the stare-down, trying to relieve the tension between Allison and Derek. "No one died, all right. Look, there may have been a little maiming, okay, a little mangling, but no death. That's what I call an important distinction."
"My mother died," Allison whispered, and Stiles' face fell.
"Who cares," Rebekah rolled her eyes, "your mother was a bitch."
"And so was ours," Kol stated, sipping from his large coke, barley noticing the stares he received from his comment.
Davina grinned at her husband and patted him on the leg. "I love you."
Kol turned to stare at her, gaze softening. "I love you too."
Elena watched them with a small smile on her face. Before her and Jeremy ended up killing Kol, she had seen this side of him. Well, sorta. He had been panicking over the whole Silas ordeal, but he had started being nice and seeing her side of it all. And right when she was about to back out of trying to kill him, of course he overhears and decides to attack, which resulted in his death. She feels awful of the result everything caused, but seeing him now, seeing him happy, she's glad that he somehow survived everything.
"Your family's little honor code killed your mother," Derek deadpanned, knowing what Victoria tried to do to Scott and Hope. "Not me."
"That girl was looking for Scott. I'm here to help him, not you," Allison spat back, her gaze hardening the longer she made eye contact with him.
"You wanna help? Find something real."
Just as Derek turned to leave, Scott rushed after him. "Give her a chance. Okay, they're on our side now."
Hope approached them, arms crossed. "They're trying to help, Derek."
The alpha just rolled his eyes. "Well, then maybe you should tell her what her mother was actually trying to do that night." With that, he stormed away from them, leaving the two teenagers glancing at one another.
Jed hummed as he tried to shove a handful of popcorn into his mouth, but mostly missing which resulted in a mess.
Rebekah's eye twitched. "Why is there so many teenage boys here?"
THE TRIO WAS walking to their Economic class, talking about the wolf business.
"What would a pack of Alphas want with Erica and Boyd?" Stiles asked, glancing between the two werewolves.
To Hope, it didn't make sense that a group of alpha's would kidnap two beta's who had nothing to do with them. Her eyes then widened upon realizing that the alpha's must've been looking for an alpha that is strong and have a strong pack. Derek. Then, that means that they want Derek to do something for them or be apart of their pack.
Klaus grinned, "my daughter is so smart."
Hayley cleared her throat, "our daughter is so smart."
It was inevitable; Elijah thought as he watched his brother and his ex stare at one another fondly.
Suddenly, Scott stopped in his tracks, turning around and looking at something in the distance.
Hope and Stiles automatically stopped, and turned around to face their friend in confusion. But, then Hope noticed what he was staring at, more specifically who he was staring at. Across the hall, there were two twins clad in leather, turning the corner.
"Hey, Scott," Stiles called out, not noticing the twins. "You coming?"
Together, they walked into the classroom.
Klaus narrowed his eyes, "I don't trust them."
"You trust no one," Freya commented, fondly rolling her eyes.
Klaus nodded, proud of himself, "exactly, my dear sister."
DURING THE CLASS, Sheriff Stilinski had pulled Stiles out of class to talk to him. It turned out that the girl, Heather, had gone missing. No trace of her. Almost as though she had vanished in thin air during her birthday party last night.
"Heather? Who's Heather?" Elena asked, scrunching her nose in confusion.
"So, you think they kidnapped Heather to turn her?" Scott questioned, brows furrowed.
Stiles believed that the Alpha pack took Heather to turn her into a werewolf. But, Hope didn't think they would want a simple beta seeing as they're a pack of alpha's. What would they want with a human girl? This whole thing did not make any sense.
"Smart girl," Hayley smiled.
"Derek says it's easier to turn teenagers," Stiles explained, frowning as he thought about what could be happening to Heather or would could've already happened.
"The same question still remains. What would a pack of Alphas need with a Beta?" Hope asked, trying to find a way all of it connected.
"Hope, I don't know. I don't care. All right?" Stiles snapped, and Hope fell silent, a frown pulling on her face. He has never snapped at her like that, and it pulled at something in her.
Lizzie glared at Stiles on the screen. "I want to burn his hair off."
Josie eyed her sister, "as if you never snapped at her before."
Lizzie's lips pulled into a thin line, and she shrugged as an answer. She's snarky, yes, and once upon a time, yeah she snapped at Hope all the time, but that was all on Josie. Her dear twin sister is the reason why students knew her history with her bipolar disorder, why people even knew about the pills she needed. And instead of admitting to it, she blamed it all on Hope over a stupid crush that went no where, which resulted in Lizzie taking her emotions out on Hope instead of the true culprit.
Jed frowned as he noticed the tension between the sisters.
"This girl — our moms were best friends before mine died, all right? We used to take freaking bubble baths together when we were three. I gotta find her."
"Then we need Isaac to remember," Scott added, swallowing thickly.
"How?" Hope asked, crossing her arms over her chest. "Derek and Peter tried. Do you know any werewolves that know any tricks?" The only thing she could think of at this moment was: if only we had a vampire to get inside his mind.
Scott stopped and began thinking. "Maybe not a werewolf. But someone who knows a lot about them."
"Smells like a job for Deaton," MG commented with a finger in the air.
HOPE MIKAELSON WATCHED as the boys, including Derek filled a tub full of ice.
"Um..." Caroline trialed off, perfectly plucked brows furrowing.
"Obviously, it's not going to be particularly... Comfortable. But if we can slow your heart rate down enough, you'll slip into a trance-like state," Deaton spoke, his eyes keep glancing over at the blonde wolf.
"Like being hypnotized," Derek spoke up.
"Exactly. You'll be half transformed. It'll let us access your subconscious mind," Deaton explained to the scared beta.
"How slow does his heart rate need to be?" Hope asked, stepping forward.
Deaton sighed. "Very slow."
Derek rested his hands on the rim of the tub. "Okay, well, how slow is very slow?"
"Nearly dead."
"What the fuck," Bonnie breathed out.
"They're practically killing my bro!" Kaleb shouted at the screen, scandalized.
They all snapped their heads in Deaton's direction, eyes wide in shock. They knew that it wasn't exactly safe, per say, but they hadn't thought that his life would be at risk.
As the three of them continued to process the information, Isaac placed the tips of his fingers into the ice water, hissing from the cold before snatching his hand out. He then glanced at the black male with wide eyes. "It's safe though, right?"
Damon rolled his eyes, "obviously not, wolfy."
"Damon," Elena slapped his chest with the back of her hand. "He's trying to stay optimistic."
"He's doing something you would do," Alaric commented with raised brows. "Something not safe in the hopes of finding out something important and hoping to help someone else."
Elena chewed on her bottom lip in thought.
"Do you want me to answer honestly?"
"No," Isaac muttered, shaking his head softly. "No, not really."
A rubber snap cracked throughout the room, everyone looked over to the corner to see Stiles snapping a latex glove against his forearm, wiggling his fingers around with an amused expression on his face.
Lizzie snorted, shaking her head.
Hope rose her right eyebrow as she stared at him, amused, but also slightly annoyed. One of his friends was about to threaten his own life, and yet, Stiles was playing around. But, still, she couldn't help but think it was adorable.
"Hmm," Jed hummed. "That's a lot of mixed feelings."
"Join the club," Lizzie snarked which made the Super Squad either squeak at her words or choke on their spit. The blonde siphoned just chose to ignore their reactions, watching the screen intently.
"What?" Stiles asked, a now blank expression on his face before he let out an irritated sigh before yanking the glove off.
They averted their attention back toward Isaac, and Derek noticed his nervous state, the boy letting out a shaky breath. "Look, if it feels too risky, you don't have to do this."
Isaac glanced toward Scott for reassurance who nodded in agreement with Derek. He then glanced over at Hope, for some reason wanting her to approve of the whole ordeal.
"Aww," Rebekah cooed.
"Brotp!" Caroline shouted excitedly.
"Hey, it'll be alright," she whispered to him with a kind smile.
Isaac took in a deep breath and his hands gripped the collar of his shirt before pulling it up and over his head. He looked at the tub again, gripped the sides of the tub before dipping one foot into the water, soon placing the other within as well.
The tribrid blushed heavily as she couldn't help but admire the shape of his abs, and the way his curls hung in front of his eyes. He was one blessed boy.
"Oh, definitely," Lizzie stared at the screen with wide eyes.
"Holy hell," Bonnie breathed out.
Kol gaped in horror as multiple people thirsted over the body that he once wore. Well, not the exact body seeing as Isaac is in a completely different universe but still. It's weird. And it feels like he's being invaded on.
Then, he we turned to his wife, he gaped even more when she was staring praisingly at Isaac's half naked body.
"What the hell, Love??" He shouted, clutching his chest, eyes wide in absolute horror and jealousy.
Davina shrugged sheepishly. "What? That's the body I first met you in. That's the first body I fell in love with you in."
"Cheater!" Kol cried out, standing up from his chair so quickly, pointing an accusing finger at the love of his life. "A cheater! I can't believe I've been betrayed like this! Im heartbroken! No one loves me!" He clutches his chest and falls to the floor.
Davina raised a brow at her husband before fondly shaking her head. "So dramatic."
Stiles made a noise in the back of his throat and crossed his arms angrily, glaring at the floor. He didn't know why, but the thought of Hope staring at a half naked boy irked him more than it should've.
Kol lifted his head from the floor, slightly annoyed that no one cared that he 'passed out'. How dare they act like he didn't just put on the best show in this damn theatre room.
Rebekah clasped her hands together and smiled. "Stiles being jealous is so cute. Look at that pout and the scrunch of his nose."
Klaus kicked at Kohl's foot with the tip of his shoe, wanting to ignore the fact that his daughter is growing up and will eventually be with someone. Probably Stiles at the rate this is going. And yeah, his daughter could pick worse, and there are definitely worse, but he didn't want her to grow up.
Scott tugged off his jacket, him and Derek rolling up the sleeves of their shirts as Isaac let out shaky panting breaths once he was sitting down in the tub completely. The werewolves each placed a hand on Isaac's shoulders.
Water and ice splashed out of the tub as they submerged the blonde into the freezing water.
As soon as he was pushed under, his body came shooting out; fangs bared and eyes glowing gold.
"Get him back under," Deaton instructed as Isaac continued to thrash. "Hold him!"
"We're trying!" Derek snapped in annoyance.
"Here, I'll help!" Hope exclaimed as she marched forward, and pushed down on his toned stomach.
"Girl power!" Caroline shouted.
Kol sat up further on the floor, now criss- cross applesauce, eating a pack of mini m&m's, intrigued with the scene before him.
Then he was submerged once again, but this time after only a few thrashes his body became completely still. The room was once again filled with silence.
Derek and Scott both glanced at each other before releasing their hands from his shoulders, and at the same time, Hope took her hand off of his chest.
His body slowly rose up in the water, and the minute his mouth broke the surface, and they all heard a small puff of air escape his lips.
They all let out a breath of relief and looked towards Deaton for further instructions. "Now, remember, only I talk to him," he said, pointing a finger towards all of them. "Too many voices will confuse him and draw him out."
They all nodded in agreement, and signaled for him to continue with the process.
"Isaac? Can you hear me?"
"Yes, I can hear you," he said, his mouth trembling from the cold water.
"Oooh," Caroline shivered. "I got goosebumps. This is like the seance we did," she turned to Elena and Bonnie. "With the ghost woman. Uh... what was her name again?"
"Emily," Bonnie stated, shivering as she remembered that. It feels so long ago.
"Excuse me," Lizzie spun slowly in her seat to face her mother and aunts. "You three did a seance?"
Caroline shrugged. "Yeah. No biggie."
Lizzie just stared at her with her mouth slightly agape, in disbelief.
"This is Dr. Deaton. I'd like to ask you a few questions. Is that alright?"
"Yes."
"I want to ask you about the night you found Erica and Boyd," Deaton said as thunder roared outside the clinic, and lighting illuminated the dark room. "I want you to remember it for me in as vivid detail as possible, like you're actually there again."
Hope swallowed thickly in worry as she the hairs on her the back of her neck and arms stood up. Never has she ever seen anything like that before.
"I–I don't wanna do that." Isaac cried out and lights in the clinic began to flicker, and his body began thrashing around a bit once again. Hope was the first to grab onto Isaac, holding him down, her eyes wide. "I don't wanna do that. I don't wanna do that."
"Isaac, it's alright," Deaton stated calmly. "Just relax. They're just memories. You can't be hurt by a memory."
"I don't wanna do that."
"It's alright."
"I don't wanna do that!" Isaac basically screamed, his voice cracking.
"Relax." Deaton watched as Hope began to run one of her hands through Isaac's wet curls, trying to help him calm down.
"She's so soft and caring," Jed commented slowly, as if amazed to see this side of Hope. "I don't think I have ever seen her like this. Well, except for when she cared for Landon."
Landon, who has been quiet for a while, smiled slightly at that. He misses when Hope was at his side, and they were a team. Now, they're as far apart as they could he, and he hates it.
"Good. Now let's go back to that night, to the place you found Erica and Boyd. Can you tell me what you see? Is there some kind of building? A house?"
"It's not a — It's not a house. It's stone. I think marble," Isaac answered, his body trembling worse than before from the cold.
"That's perfect. Can you give me any other descriptors?"
"It's dusty, so empty."
"Like an abandoned building?" Deaton pressed, his brows furrowed as he thought about the many abandoned buildings in Beacon Hills.
The lights once again began to flicker, and Isaac's body started twitching. Whatever is going on inside his head can't be good.
Isaac grabbed a hold of Scott's forearm, beginning to move around in the water again. "No, no. Someone's here."
"Isaac relax."
"No, no!" Isaac exclaimed, his voice sounding pained and scared. "They see me!"
As Isaac moved more rapidly Stiles and Hope worked together. While the human held down the blondes legs, Hope was pushing down on his chest once again.
Everyone was anxious as they continued to watch the screen, worried about Isaac and how if they don't stop this, he'll get hurt. But they also want to know what happened to Boyd and Isaac.
Hope quickly moved to grab his legs. Deaton's calming voice mixed in with Isaac's pleads and cries for help. After a few more "relax's," from Deaton, Isaac calmed and the water stilled.
Hope let out a breath of relief, moving back slightly, water dripping down her face and her shirt.
"Good." Deaton praised, "Now tell us what you see. Tell us everything."
"I hear Boyd. He's talking about the full moon, about being out of control when the moon rises."
Scott and Derek look at each other confused, while Deaton continued to question Isaac. "Is he talking to Erica?"
"I think so. I can't — I can't see her. I can't... I ca — I can't see either of them," Isaac admitted, his voice trembling.
"Can you hearing anything else?"
Isaac paused. "They're worried. Worried what they'll do during the moon. They're worried that they're going to hurt each other."
Derek's head shot up at the information given, glancing at all of them. "If they're locked in there together, they're going to rip each other apart."
"Isaac," Deaton's voice became more stern as he realized the situation they were now in. "We need to find them right now. Can you see them?"
Hope bit her lip, beyond worried about what was going to happen to Erica and Boyd. Sure, they didn't get along too great, but there teenagers who have went through a lot. They didn't deserve whatever is happening to them and will be happen to them.
Lizzie frowned as she remembers that they're still teenagers and have gone through so much stuff. And clearly it isn't over.
Alaric sighed to himself as he glanced over at his friends, at his students, and realized that they're all still so young, and yet they keep fighting. Sometimes he doesn't know how they do it.
"No."
"Do you know what kind of room it is? Is there any kind of a marker? A number on a door? A sign?" Deaton pressed, trying his hardest to get answers out of Isaac.
The light above Isaac buzzed in and out once again, although this time Isaac shot up abruptly with a loud gasp. "They're here," he kept repeating over and over again.
"It's alright," Deaton assured.
"No!" Isaac's voice ripped through the air, and thunder outside was so loud it felt like it shook the room.
"Just tell us—"
Isaac only continued to struggle more, his voice raising to a scream. "They see me! They found me! They're here!"
"This isn't working," Derek stated, becoming impatient and aggravated. "Isaac, where are you?"
"Derek," Hope whispered, warning him.
"I can't see them. It's too dark!"
Derek continued to push his beta. "Isaac tell me where you are. You have to tell me now."
Isaac's face scrunched up in struggle, his mouth was moving but no words were coming out. And then suddenly, he blurted out, "It's a vault! It's a bank vault! But something... something's wrong. It's a room, it's big. It's got a body. It's — it's Erica."
The sudden rush of memories was enough to wake Isaac from his paralyzed state, the teenager jerking up from the water. Dripping wet, he gasped out more answers. "I saw it, I saw the name." He struggled to get out of the tub, so Hope reached forward and helped him. "It's, uh, Beacon Hills First National Bank. It's an abandoned bank and they're, um, keeping them locked inside — inside the vault." Looking up, he realized no one was speaking or even moving. "What?"
"You don't remember what you said right before you came out of it, do you?" Stiles asked, his tongue sliding over his lips.
Isaac shook his head, completely confused. "No."
"You said when they captured you that they dragged you into a room," Stiles explained with a sad sigh. "And that there was a body in it."
"What body?"
When no one stepped forward to speak, Hope did, "Erica. You said Erica."
Caroline gasped loudly, tears pooling in her blue eyes. "Oh no..."
"She's not dead," Derek argued stubbornly, shaking his head. He didn't want to believe one of his beta's were dead.
Stiles was getting fed up, "Derek, he said, "there's a dead body. It's Erica."
"Then who was in the fault with Boyd?" Derek snarled back.
"Someone else, obviously."
"Maybe it was the girl on the motorcycle," Scott interjected, turning his attention to Isaac, "The one who saved you."
Isaac slowly shook his head, "No, she wasn't like us. And whoever was in the vault with Boyd was."
"What if that's how Erica died?" Hope asked, swallowing thickly. "They pit them against each other on the full moons and see which one survives."
"That's sick," Hayley spat out, gutted that a teenage girl died, probably killed. And who knows what has happened to Boyd and the other girl that was with him.
"What, like a werewolf thunderdome?" Stiles asked in disbelief.
"Then we get them out tonight," Derek announced, ignoring them.
"Be smart about this, Derek," Deaton spoke out, eyeing him. "You can't just go storming in."
"If Isaac got in, then so can we."
But he didn't get through a vault door, did he?"
Scott stepped forward, "We need a plan."
"How are we going to come up with a plan to break into a bank vault in less than twenty-four hours?" Hope asked, crossing her arms.
"Well, you're a witch, so..." Lizzie trialed off with an eye roll, as if she was speaking directly to Hope.
"Uh, I think someone already did," Stiles answered, his phone in hand. "Beacon Hills First National closes its doors three months after vault robbery," he read off an article aloud, "Doesn't say how it was robbed, but it probably won't take long to find out."
"How long?"
"It's the internet, Derek," Stiles scoffed. "Minutes."
"Two hours later..." Jed mimicked SpongeBob's narrators voice.
A few people gave him a few looks, but ultimately ignored him.
AS IT TURNS out, it took a lot longer than a few minutes. And seeing as Hope didn't have anything of Boyd's to locate them, it was harder than anyone thought.
When Sheriff Stilinski walked into his sons bedroom, he hadn't expected to find his son lounged on the ground, face planted in the ground, butt in the air as papers stuck to his cheek. He didn't expect to find Scott awkwardly angled in Stiles's desktop chair, and most definitely didn't expect to find Hope laying on Stiles' bed with papers and books surrounding her. Her hair was splayed out across the pillows, and her shirt was raised up on her stomach a little. She looked really peaceful.
"She looks like a sleeping princess next to those doofuses," Lizzie remarked with a snicker.
Kol nodded along as he continued seating on the floor, eating his mini m&m's, but this time, he was in between Davina's feet, her hand massaging his head.
"Guys," Noah called out. When there was no response from any of them, he tried a bit louder. "Hey, time to wake up. Guys. Guys!" At once, all three teenagers jolted awake. "I've got to get to work." The trio turned to him slowly, either standing up, yanking paper off of their or simply just yawning. "You three, get to school," he said before walking off, but he popped his head in at the last minute. "And Stiles?"
Sheriff Stilinski began, "Your friend, Heather, people reported her missing after her party. I just thought you should know. We have an APB out on her after asking her family about it. I'll let you know if the stations finds anything."
Stiles stood up straighter, his eyebrows furrowing. "What do you mean she's missing?"
"No one can find her," Noah stated with a frown. "But we will. I promise. I've got to go, but I'll see you guys later."
Stiles shuffled around his room some, before flinging the papers that stuck to his clothes off of himself. "Ten hours and nothing."
"We'll find something," Scott assured, nodding his head.
Hope slowly nodded. "We have to find something." She wasn't going to allow anyone else to die on her watch.
Stiles — who was sitting at his desk — was looking down at a piece of paper before widening his eyes. Suddenly, he shoved the piece of paper into Scott's chest, and moved past them to shout at his exiting father. "Dad! Dad!"
Scott and Hope watched as Stiles left, before moving to glance over at the article to see what had him so worked up.
On the front of the article, a large picture had been blown up with an image of Sheriff Stilinski arresting the culprit of the robbery that happened in the Beacon Hills Bank. That was when Scott and Hope gave each other the same looks before rushing after Stiles.
"We'll, looks like they found their way in," MG commented with a small smile.
AFTER SCHOOL WAS done, they went over to Derek's to figure out a way to rescue his pack members.
Stiles set out a map as Hope stood by his side in leggings, and one of his burgundy hoodies. It had his lacrosse number on the back of it and his last name.
"Oh, my god!" Caroline squealed loudly, reaching over to slap Elena's arm excitedly. "They're at the sharing clothes stage! It's happening!" She was squirming in her seat excitedly.
Klaus crossed his arms and grumbled. "I don't like this."
"I don't wike this," Kol and Davina mocked together, while Marcel just laughed loudly.
"You see this? This is how they got in. It's a rooftop air conditioning vent. Leads down inside into the wall of the vault, which is here." Stiles circled the vent. "Okay? One of the robbers was lowered into this shaft Now, that space is so small, it took him about twelve hours to drill into that wall, which is stone, by the way. Then throughout the rest of the night, they siphoned the cash up to the guys back on the roof through that one little shaft in the wall. Boom."
Scott shifted his eyes from the floor plan to Stiles, and asked, "Can we fit in there?"
"Yes, we can, but very, very barely," Stiles said, "They patched the wall obviously, so we're gonna need a drill of some kind. I'm thinking maybe a Diamond bit—"
"Look, forget the drill."
"Sorry?" Stiles said, whipping his head towards the Alpha.
Derek rolled his eyes in annoyance, "If I go in first, how much space do I have?"
"What do you — What do you think you're gonna do, Derek? You gonna punch through the wall?" Stiles asked sarcastically.
Derek puffed his chest out as his body turned towards him. "Yes, Stiles, I'm gonna punch through the wall."
"Okay, Okay, big guy. Let's see it. Let's see that fist. Big, old fist. Make it, come on. Get it out there. Don't be scared. Big, bad wolf. Yeah, look at that," Stiles said as Derek lifted his fist, face full of attitude.
"Okay, see this?" He asked as he grabbed ahold of Derek's wrist, putting his hand up just a few inches away from the Alpha's large fist. "That's maybe three inches of room to gather enough force to punch through solid con—" Stiles' little sarcastic lesson was cut short when Derek punched his hand, sending Stiles to the floor, groaning in pain.
"Holy shit!" Kol laughed loudly, gasping for breath as he choked on an m&m. "That's fucking hilarious! Did you see his face?!" He was wheezing at this point.
Marcel grinned, "it was funny, I got to admit."
Elijah rolled his eyes, smoothing down the front of his suit. "Children," he clicked his tongue.
Lizzie was currently clutching her stomach as she laughed, but no sound was coming out because that's how badly she couldn't breath from the laughter. "I-I can't—" she wheezing, clutching at Kaleb's arm as she leaned forward, almost face planting.
Hope glared at Derek before helping Stiles up, and checking to see if his hand was alright.
Stiles winced, shaking his hand out in front of him. "He could do it."
"I'll get through the wall. Who's following me down?"
"I will." Hope stepped forward. As he gave her a look of disbelief, she said, "I'm the strongest one here." Before he could speak, she continued. "I'm going."
"Me too," Scott spoke up, nodding as he stood beside Hope, both of them determined to help.
"I love their sibling dynamic," Elena said with a small smile. "Reminds me of Jeremy," she whispered quietly.
"Hmm." The author hummed, "I might reconsider bringing him." Elena began to smile widely, but the author spoke up quickly, "maybe."
MINUTES LATER, they found themselves at the bank, standing right in front of the wall that led to the vault.
Derek and Hope worked together to punch the wall. It only took a few hits before there was a big enough hole for them just to walk through rather than crawl through.
Stepping through, they had to blink a couple of times to see through the dark and the dust. And once they did, they saw a figure in the corner of the room.
She grinned as she stepped through to see a figure standing there.
"Boyd? Boyd? It's me." Derek looked at his beta with wide eyes. "It's Derek".
Hope's phone then started ringing. Sighing loudly, she said, "Stiles, now is not the best time."
"Hope! No, listen to me, okay? Look, you gotta get outta there. Look, the walls of the vault are made with a mineral called hecatolite. It scatters the moonlight."
Hope groaned, rubbing her forehead as she knew what that meant. "Guys, we have a problem," she spoke up loudly.
At that moment, a figure stepped out from behind Boyd.
"Cora?"
"Who?" Hayley frowned.
"Who?" Hope asked with furrowed brows as she pocketed her phone.
Hayley blushed as she spoke the same word as her daughter, both of them displaying similar expressions.
"Derek, get out. Get out now!" The teenaged girl – Cora – growled out in a warning.
Scott nudged Hope in the stomach and gestured to the line or mountain ash that surrounded all of them.
Boyd and Cora growled at them, canines out and eyes glowing brightly in the dark.
Hope glared an stepped in front of Scott and Derek, growling loudly, her own eyes shining brightly. "Don't make me beat your asses."
"Fight! Fight!" Lizzie began cheering.
"Lizzie," Josie hissed through her teeth. "This is so not the time."
Jed furrowed his brows as he looked between the sisters before joining, "fight! Fight! Beat their asses!"
That's when the fight finally broke out. Both wolves ran at her, clawing at the tribrid's stomach. But, as soon as she caught Cora's wrists, Boyd attacked and kicked her in the side.
"Come on, Hope!" Klaus was on the edge of his seat. "Show them who's boss!"
Hissing, Hope growled as she jumped up and over them. Landing behind the beta's, she swiftly turned around, sweeping their feet out from underneath them.
"So hot," Bonnie mumbled to herself.
"Hard agree," Jed commented with a nod of his head, absently reaching over to steal some of Kol's mini m&m's.
Which surprisingly, Kol gave him a nasty look before slowly nodding and allowing the boy to have a few of them. Then, he snatched his bag away from the wolf and threw a handful of the m&m's into his mouth.
Derek and Scott rushed forward just as Boyd and Cora got up and worked together to throw Hope into the wall.
Grimacing, the auburn haired girl pushed herself up and turn around to see Scott and Derek being repeatedly punched by the beta's.
"Hey!" Hope shouted, gaining their attention. "Come and get me, puppies!"
The three wolves clashed together, kicking, biting, punching, and scratching at one another. Blood was beginning to fling everywhere and so were pieces of cloth.
"Hey!" Another voice interrupted, gaining Boyd and Cora's attention. "You're free!" And with that, both werewolves ran out of the vault into human civilization.
Groaning, Hope rolled over, blood dripping from a wound on her stomach and face. "Allison!" She exclaimed in shock as she realized who was the person who allowed two vicious beta's to roam free. "Seriously?!"
"Not her again!" Klaus growled.
"Come on!" Derek shouted as he already began to run out of the vault after his beta and sister. "We have to get to them before they harm anyone!"
