C: Smart Bet

It was early morning in the HQ and R stretched her arms above her head, letting out a long yawn as she still a bit sleepy even though it was half an hour since she had woken up. Following her return from the world of Akame Ga Kill with C,  K and her new and second girlfriend Esdeath, she had a hard time waking up all rested up in the morning because of her having some catching up to do with 6O and trying to balance dating both her and 6O. At least there was a bright side to all of it as her time with her two girlfriends was amazing and it allowed her to mess with Q more.

The female watcher hummed to herself, finding herself smilling a bit as she recalled how angry Q was with her last night after she was kept awake at night by her and her girlfriend and how much angrier she got when she offered her to join them. Messing with her like this was always fun to her. Especially after she went against her by outright stating TF2 was better than Overwatch by doing her stupid powerpoint presentation. Seeing how Q was reacting to her really made her wonder how would C deal with her if the two had their rooms next to each other.

She reached her destination a second later, finding herself in front of the door to her and C's work room and grabbed the door handle. Pushing the door open,  she entered the room and looked around herself to see if C was already inside even if the answer was obvious to her. She got the confirmation a second later as she saw C sitting by her desk and smiled at the view of t. From the looks of it, it seemed looked like her best friend barely got any sleep last night.

"Good morning." She greeted her just in time for C to look up towards her after she heard her open the door and walk into their workroom.

C greeted her in return with a nod of her head, "Good morning to you too. Did you sleep well?"

"You could say that." R smirked a bit when she voiced her answer. C immediately knew what she meant by that and blushed a bit, rolling her eyes as R chuckled at her answer, "What about you? DId you stayed here all night again?"

"Yes." C didn't bother denying this, knowing what happened the last time when she tried to deny this to R. She doubted she would be able to hide this as well because of her appearance as she could tell her hair was a mess and she definitely had eye bags under her eyes.

R stopped in her tracks and crossed her arms with an amused look on her face, "Jeez. Do you ever sleep?"

"Don't blame for this. I started to work on something last night and lost the track of time." C explained to her, adjusting her glasses as she let out a tired yawn.

"Want some coffee?" R asked, letting out another chuckle as she turned away from C towards the table in the corner with the coffee machine and all the coffe supply on it.

"Yeah. I'd like some." C replied with a nod of her head as R moved and fetched the coffe for her and C, putting it into two coffee cups.

R looked over her shoulder at C, beginning to work on the coffee, "What do you want in your coffee?"

"Two sugars as usual please." C gave her the answer.

"Alrighty." R replied in understanding as she turned back to the coffee machine and focused herself on working on the coffee. Once she was done with it a moment later, she picked up the two cups and walked over to C before placing her cup on the table while smilling, "Here you go~."

"Thank you." C voiced her gratitude to R as she picked up the cup and took a sip from it. She smiled a bit, knowing this was exactly what she needed right now.

R smiled a bit more after seeing her best friend smile, taking a sip of her coffe herself and shot C a questioning look, "So. What have you been working."

C placed her cup on the desk and looked up at R, "Good thing you asked me about this as I was about to bring this up to you. You see. Recently I got an idea regarding something and started to work on it whenever I got the time to do so. I stayed up late last night as it would be the final phase of preparing it and I wanted to get this done..."

R leaned a bit closer to C with an intrigued look on her face, "Alright. I'm interested."

C smiled at her, "I'm glad you are. This thing will be the solution to our biggest problem!"

R gave her a look of understanding, "Herpes. Yeah. That's a bitch."

C's eyes widened a bit in a taken aback manner, "W-What?"

"What? That's not it? What is it, then?" R raised her brow, "What is it, then? Feral TF2 fangirls? The current management at Blizzard?"

C shook her head with her expression growing annoyed, "No! It's not any of those things!"

R kept her brow raised, "What is it, then?"

"A stabilizer." C wasted no time and began to explain everything to R before R would blurt out something idiotic to her, gesturing to the detailed sketches on her desk, "It's designed to keep the barriers between dimensions from collapsing and keeping them more stable. Lately, with all the hopping between world such as Akame Ga Kill, Esdeath tagging along, whatever the others have been up to, I began to grow a bit worried on how things will go in the future since whatever was keeping the worlds save from the last generation was extremely outdated."

"I see." R voiced her understanding as she kept her brow raised only this time it showed more interest. She crossed her arms a second later and smiled at her best friend, "To be honest I'm a bit suprised by myself having not seen this coming. I remember you making a remark about it in the past."

"If you say so." C smiled a bit.

R placed her hand on the back of her head, "I can't help but wonder, though. Why would everything from the last gen be so outdated."

"It's probably they weren't visiting as much worlds as we are doing right now and as much the others are doing right now." C stated.

"Yeah. Probably. There wasn't much of them visiting the other worlds when we went through the archives. It really makes me wonder how everything was like when the last generation became the watchers because they didn't wrote much about this in the archives." R nodded in agreement as she rubbed the back of her head with her expression growing questoning once more, "How will this stabilizer of yours work like?

C quickly provided her an explanation, "It will expand the protection of all the worlds out there. For example. Whenever someone will try to attack the world or destroy it..."

"Why would anyone do that?" R cut her off.

"It's just an example!" C replied and quickly went back to her explanation, "As I was saying. Whenever someone will try to attack the world or destroy it, we will be notified on it on the map with the worlds."

R crossed her arms, "Great. D will have surely be happy of this development in his little hobby."

"Can you stop cutting me off?" C asked R as R shot her an apologetic look, "To add more to this. It will extend the protection of the world. If someone would want to destroy it, then they would have to be around our power level which as you know is pretty much impossible."

"Unless one of us would go rogue." R pointed out.

C raised her brow, "Why would anyone do that?"

"I'm just making an example." R threw her words back at her.

"Touche." C nodded at her, "But yeah. We won't have to worry about anyone blowing up a world anytime soon if ever unless they will be someone like us."

R tapped her chin thoughtfully, "So, this stabilizer not only stops interdimensional hijinks but also lets us play interdimensional cops if someone tries to blow up a world. Nice. But how will you install it?"

"I already contacted G about it..." C began to reply.

R gasped dramatically, pretending to be hurt by this, "You told him before me?"

"Maybe if wasn't busy sucking 6O and Esdeath's faces, then maybe I would have told you about this sooner." C pointed out, rolling her eyes.

R pouted, "Excuse me for having love life to balance with my work life."

"Yeah. Whatever..." C clenched her hand a bit at this, letting out annoyed sigh and finished her explanation, "...So this is what I've been working on. What do you think?"

R grinned, leaning casually against the edge of C's desk. "I think it's genius. Just what I would expect from a workaholic like you. You seriously put the stereotype of blondes being idiots to shame."

"Thank you..." C smiled a bit. She had to admit. She always felt really happy on the inside whenever someone praised her for her intelligence.

R's grin grew more, "Too bad J is around to prove this stereotype might have some truth in it, though..."

C frowned a bit, "R. That's not nice."

"But it's the truth, though. You saw how naive she is." R defended herself, "She literally believed she was a descendant of a Nigerian price when T played this prank on her to see if she'll be naive enough to do that."

C sighed, shaking her head, "That wasn't naivety, R. That was J being overly trusting. There's a difference."

"Trusting? Sure, let's go with that" R crossed her arms while smirking, "Still doesn't explain why she thought the best way to unlock the 'hidden royal treasure' was to send T twenty bucks."

"Okay, I'll admit, that was a bit much." C chuckled a bit, "But we shouldn't pick on her. She's got her own strengths, even if critical thinking isn't one of them."

"Like what? Cooking?" R raised her brow. She fought off an urge to say having flat chest but she knew how C would react to this. Especially since C herself had one of the smallest chests in the HQ.

C nodded in confirmation, "Exactly."

"I suppose. No one can make my favourite meal like she does it." R agreed with C, licking her lips a bit as she found herself thinking about her favourite meal with the need of eating it again slowly rising up inside of her, "But neverthless. I'm still happy to have you around to kill the stereotype of a dumb blonde..."

"Thank you..." C began to voice her gratitude.

R cut her off, "Too bad it's still nothing compared to me."

C frowned at her, "What is that supposed to mean?"

"You heard me right." R nodded in confirmation, "While it's nice to have you around, the title of the smartest watcher belongs to me as I'm smarter than you."

C got up from her seat and shood her head with her gaze frowing, "Oh, really? You're smarter than me? I'd love to hear the evidence for that bold claim, R."

R smirked and leaned against C with a playful look on her face, "Do I need evidence? My actions speak louder than words. I balance interdimensional visits, two girlfriends, and still have time to mess with you, D and P and make sure Q will know her place as the TF2 fan. That takes brains, my friend."

"Messing with people Q is not exactly Nobel Prize-level intellectual work." C adjusted her glasses with a sharp look on her face, "Besides, I'm the one who comes up with practical solutions like, you know, the stabilizer which I just told you about."

R chuckled, "Sure, you've got your stabilizer. But who's the one keeping everyone sane around here? Me. Without my charm and wit, this place would fall apart."

"Charm and wit?" C let out out an incredulous laugh, "That's what you call annoying Q until she threatens to strangle you or flirting with all the women around you even after most of them told you they are not interested in women with myself being one of them?"

"What? Is it strange for a woman to know what she likes?" R retorted, "Not to mention. Did you forget who made Esdeath change sides while someone sat on her ass in the Night Raid HQ and waited for me to do the job?"

C crossed her arms, "If you count fucking Esdeath until she fell in love with a big brain plan, then you truly deserve a nobel prize."

"See! I was right!" R smirked.

"I was being sarcastic!" C pointed out.

"I know. It doesn't change the fact that I did all the hard work back then! Not to mention I actually had someone who wanted to have fun with me!" R retorted as C's expression grew a bit hurt by this remark. It went unnoticed by R, though as R added, "Either way. I'm still smarter than you!"

"That's not true!" C denied.

"It is!" R insisted.

C shook her head, "Nuh-uh."

"Uh-huh!" R once again insisted.

C pointed out, "You're wrong!"

"Nuh-uh!" R continued to insist, "If anything, I can prove this to you right here right now!"

C crossed her arms, "Really? How?"

"A bet. Between you and me." R voiced what she meant to her, "Whoever wins will be labelled as the smartest watcher."

C gave her nod of her head with her arms remaining crossed, "You're on! I'll be more than happy to prove you wrong!"

"Like that's ever going to happen." R laughed, "What about the prize?"

C raised her brow, "The prize?"

"Yeah. It wouldn't be a bet if the loser wouldn't have to do anything." R gave her a nod confirmation.

C rolled her eyes, "Fine. What do you have in mind?"

R smirked as she had the perfect idea, "Whoever loses has to walk around the HQ in the playboy bunny suit for the whole day."

C's eyes widened a bit with her cheeks becoming a bit red, "Are you serious?"

"Yeah. I'm completely serious." R nodded in confirmation with her smirk remaining evident on her face, "What do you think? Will you take it or will you chicken out."

C exhaled in frustation even if the thought of herself wearing such a thing was making her feel dead inside, "Fine..."

"You agreed for it, huh?" R's smirk grew at this, "Are you perharps into this sort of thing~?"

C instantly shook her head at this, "No! I agreed for this because I won't be doing that I know I'll win."

R chuckled, "Yeah. Keep telling yourself that."

"What about you?" C asked.

R raised her brow, "What about me? If I'll lose which won't happen mind you, then I'll have to do the same..."

"No. We're choosing something else for you." C shook her head with a stern gaze in her eyes, "You know this kind of thing won't be a punishment for you."

"Fine. What do you have in mind for me?"

"You won't be doing any of the relationship related stuff with Esdeath and 6O for the whole day."

R's expression fell a bit, "...You can't do this to me..."

"I can and I will if I'll will which will definitely happen." C replied with no hesitation in her voice, "Are you taking this or are you perharps checking out?"

R clenched her teeth at C throwing her own words back at her, "Fine. You're on."

"Great. I'm looking forward to not having to deal with you sucking your women's face tommorow." C stated, looking more than pleased with R agreeing to her terms.

"Like that's ever going to happen." R shook her head with determination and confidence regarding her own victory beginning to show in her tone, "I'm going to enjoy watching you walk around in the playboy bunny suit so much~."

The two glared at each other once again with all the sleepiness having left their bodies by this point, feeling the determination of wanting to see the other one lose filling their bodies as they were more than ready to begin their bet and to prove to the other party that they were indeed the smartest watcher with their prize being a nice addition to this  knowledge.

If only the knew how long it will actually take them to prove their point in an attempt of winning this bet...

-----

Time passed in the HQ and R and C continued with their bet, having lost the track of time since their bet started in the morning because of how long the bet was going. After they started their bet, it just kept going and going due to neither of them refusing to give up and prove the other one right in the statement of them being smarter than them. What would happen to them if they lost the bet or if they gave up remained in the back of their minds as well and it added more to them wanting to win this bet at any means necessary.

Their bet consisted of them doing all of time which would require them to use their intelligence and everything boiled down to them writing down some notes and calculations which would require them to use their brain and they wrote down so much of them that they ran out of paper in their work room. They didn't allow this to stop them from finding out the truth, though as they began to write on the walls and the furniture in their workroom, leaving lots of stuff scribbled on it.

By the time they run out of stuff to write on in their workroom, they moved out of it and began to write everything down on the walls in the hallway while not caring about the damage it was making and not caring someone would find see what they had done sooner or later because of the desire of them wanting to prove themselves to be smarter than the other one was too big in them right now.

"You're an idiot, R!" C shouted, pointing at whatever R had just written down on the wall, "This makes no sense! You're just drawing circles around the problem."

"Like you're the one to talk!" R snapped back, pointing their marker towards a  sketched flowchart on C's side of the hallway, "Look at yourself! You have completely miscalculated the entire base logic! Did you even think before you wrote this?"

C glared at her, "Of course I did! Unlike you, I don't just scribble nonsense and hope it works."

"Scribble nonsense?" R glared back at her, stepping closer to C and pressing her marker against her shoulder, "You're one to talk! You've been contradicting yourself every five minutes."

"Oh, please." C rolled her eyes, "At least I'm trying to find the right answer instead of throwing darts in the dark."

R took a deep breath with an offended look on her face and raised her marker like it was a weapon, "Darts in the dark? You're the one who proposed time could loop back on itself infinitely with no causal anchor. Do you even hear yourself? It's embarrassing."

C laughed bitterly as she stepped closer to R with her face being inches away from hers, "Embarrassing? What's embarrassing is watching you flounder around, pretending you've got it all figured out while missing the simplest solutions."

R looked directly into C's eyes and growled out, "Say that again."

C wasted no time and repeated herself, "You flounder around, pretending you've got it all figured out while missing the simplest solutions."

"You..." R looked like she was ready to tear C apart in this moment as the two continued to glare into each other eyes.

The tension between the two female watchers was palpable now, each one unwilling to back down, waiting for their opponent to make their first move no matter what it will be. No matter what would happen from now on, the two knew they would continue to put everything they have into this bet and nothing and no one would interrupt them from finally determing who's the smarter one.

"...What's going on here!?" Their attention was shifted something else a second later as they turned towards the source of the voice and saw K, I and O standing in front of them.  All of them must have noticed the writings on the walls and decided to confront them about it. O and I looked confused while K looked more than angry.

O looked at them questioningly, "What are you two doing?"

"Yeah. Why are you writing on the walls? Have you seen the mess you two made?" I added with a confused look on her face.

"You two go back there and clean it all up!" K added with her face red and looking like it was about to explode from anger. Her demands fell on deaf ears, though as R and C did say anything to her and the other two or do anything to fix whatever mess they made.

C slowly shifted her gaze to R with a confused look on her face a second later, "R? What are they saying to us?"

"I dunno..." R shrugged with an equal confusion on her face.

They glanced back at K, I and O as the three continued to either voice their angry words in K's case or their confused words in O and I's case. It didn't look like this to R and C, though. What they saw in front of them wasn't human at all. K was seen by them like a feral jumping and rambling animal while O and I looked like creatures who couldn't get a word out of themselves, drooling while they rambled in their own strange language.

"No!" R gasped upon realizing what this meant as C glanced back at her, "C! We are so smart they're stupid to us!"

C gasped upon hearing this, "Oh, no! You're right! What do now?"

"I don't know! Let's just get out of here!" R shouted as K, O and I stopped saying stuff to them and stared at them with weirded out/confused looks on their faces as R and C began to talk in a language none of them could understand.

I raised her brow in confusion, "What is this language?"

"Latin maybe?" O guessed.

K looked at him with a confused look on her face, "What? Who uses lating nowadays? It's a dead language."

"I dunno. Ask N." O shrugged as R and C turned away from them and rushed down the hallway away from them. He called out after them a second later, "Hey! Where are you two going...?!"

"They won't be getting away from this!" K shouted angrily, thinking R and C wanted to get away from the mess which both of them had created and quickly ran after them. I and O exchanged glances with each other and followed K in following them. By the time they reached the end of the road, they saw R and C in the living room where T and J currently were having a conversation.

"What is going on?" T stopped whatever conversation he was having with J right now as he shifted his gaze to R and C who rushed into the room, muttering something to themselves.

"You two ok..." J was cut off as K, O and I stormed into the living room after R and C and followed them into the kitchen.

"You two stop right now!"  K yelled angrily after R and C, "Do you have any idea how much trouble you're in for what you've done? You're going to clean up every last scribble!"

R and C paid no attention to whatever K just said to them, refusing to listen to the angry female watchers and refusing to pay attention to anyone around them. They appeared to be in their own little world. The two female watchers looked around the room, looking like they were seeing something only they could see. Whatever words they uttered were said rapidly to the point the others were having a harder time understanding them than they already did.

J looked at T with a raised brow, "What are they saying?"

"Don't look at me." T replied, holding up their hands. "I barely understand them normally and I sure as hell ain't gonna to understand them right now."

O shifted his gaze between R and C and glanced at K after a moment, "Maybe they're in some kind of... fugue state? Like, they've overworked their brains?"

"Overworked?" K looked at him like heh was stupid, "You saw it yourself what they did and they are going to fix it!"

R snapped her fingers all of a sudden as she felt a new realization hitting her like a truck, "C! I think we're approaching an intelligence singularity!"

C gasped, seeing a lot of sense in this, "Of course! That explains why we can't understand them and they can't understand us. We've ascended!"

"Exactly!" R rapidly nodded her head, "We're functioning at such a high intellectual level that normal communication is beneath us!"

O shook his head, "Here they go again..."

"They've lost their minds..." K stated with her face still red from anger.

"...What's going on here?" Everyone in the living room/kitchen felt their heart their stop upon hearing this voice because of the tone of it. Everyone turned to the source of it and saw X standing in the doorway to the living room with a displeased look on her face. She stepped further into the room and pointed behind her, "I saw all the strange stuff written on the walls on the way here. Can someone please tell me what is the meaning of this?"

"Ask them!" O instantly pointed at R and C upon hearing this. If there was one thing everyone knew was that you didn't want to make someone like X angry or in a scolding mode.

"They! They did all of this!" K nodded in agreement with her anger fading away from her face as T, J and I all nodded in confirmation.

"I see. Thank you for telling me." X nodded gratefully at them and slowly made her way towards R and C who felt themselves growing more fearful with each passing second. She stopped in front of them a second later and looked at them questioningly, "R and C. Dearies. Can you explain to me why you scribbled on the walls?"

"She started it!" C and R pointed at each other with their language returning back to English and leaving themselves capable of being understood by the others, refusing to take the blame for what just happened as they knew how badly X's anger would affect them.

X was having none of it, though as she marched towards them before either C and R knew it, they felt the pain of X pinching their ears going through their bodies. R and C clenched their teeth, letting out muffled pleads to make X stop pinching their ears or rather only R was just doing it C refused to say anything, keeping her teeth more clenched than R. X refused to listen to listen to any of R's pleads, though as she intended to make the punishment as long and deserving as R and C deserved it for what they did. The amused looks from J, T, I and O and the satisfied look from K made the punishment way harder for the two.

She pulled her hands away from R and C's ears after a few minutes and looked at them with a stern look on her face, making herself look like a disappointed mother, "Now..."

"Owie..." R muttered under her breath, rubbing her ear with a pained look on her face while C stayed silent and did the same. She looked at X with a questioning look on her face a second later, "DId you really have to go so hard on us?"

"Yes."  X nodded with hesitation in both her tone and on her face as she crossed her arms with her sterm expression refusing to leave her face, "Now. Can you explain to me what happened and what made you do all of this?"

R chuckled nervously, "You see. We just wanted to prove to each other who's smarter..."

X looked at them questioningly, "What?"

"Yeah. What?" K agreed with the question.

"We were in our work room and were talking about the project that I've been working on recently and R brought up how she's smarter than me..." C began to explain everything to them.

R took the explanation from her from there, "Which someone refused to admit was the truth and wanted to prove me otherwise so we decided to make a bet to determine who's smarter, but we are far from getting the actual results of it because someone keeps cheating and is refusing to give up and admit that I'm smarter!"

"Cheating?!" C looked deeply offended by this statement, "I have never cheated on anything in my life! You're just projecting what you've been doing for all this time and are the one who had been cheating for all this time. Aren't you!"

R let out a fake laugh, "Don't make me laugh! You just admit that you're cheating and admit your failure to me and we can get this over with!"

"No! I won't admit to something that I didn't do!" C shook her head, looking even more offended by this.

R glared at her, "Yes! You will!"

C shook her head, "Nuh-uh!"

"Uh-huh!" R insisted as X, K, T, J, I and O all sweatdropped at their antics.

"Hoo-boy..." X muttered under her breath, letting out a sigh as R and C continued to exchange less than friendly words with each other.

K pinched the bridge of her nose, "How are they older than me again..."

"It's kind of funny, though." J chuckled.

K glanced at her, "It's because you haven't seen what they did."

J raised her brow at her, "Okay...?"

"Alright. Break it off, you two." X cut C and R off before their argument could continue. The two glanced at her again as her stern and disappointed expression return to her face, "I just want to say is that I'm really disappointed in both of you. I expected more mature behavior from you two..."

"Mature behavior from R...?" K asked as T chuckled at the thought of this.

"Shh!" I and J shushed her as X looked over her shoulder at K. X's expression was enough to make K stay quiet.

X shifted her gaze back to R and C and went further into what she had to say. Her expression became more stern with each word, "Neverthless. I hope what happened today will not happen again. Alright?"

"Yeah..." R muttered under her breath, feeling kind of weird about being scolded by X. It really reminded her of all the time she was scolded by her mom when she was younger.

"We're sorry..." C added, feeling the same as R.

"Good." X nodded in a satisfied manner, "Now. I hope you two will clean up the mess you two made."

"We will..." R and C uttered in unison, knowing they were in for a long cleaning session if they wanted to have everything cleared by the night.

X smiled, "Good."

T rubbed the back of his head, "I don't understand one thing..."

X shifted her attention to him and shot him a questioning look, "What is it, dearie?"

T pointed between R and C with a questioning look on his face, "You two did all of this because you wanted to prove who's smarter, right?"

R gave him a nod of confirmation, "Yes!"

"We already explained it to you. How many times do we have to explain it?" C rolled her eyes.

"Why didn't you just do an IQ test instead of pulling all of this crap?" T voiced his thoughts to them with confusion evident on his face.

R and C stared at him for a second, looking like they were needing a moment to process what he had just suggested to them, before glancing at each other and facepalming for not figuring this out sooner which would have saved them a lot of time and trouble...

K crossed her arms, "Looks like you two are not as smart as you claim to be..."

-----

C and R rubbed their ears with pained expressions on their faces, standing next to each other as the two had to admit that X had a strong grip on her as they could still feel her grip on their ears even if some time had passed after she separated them from each other. The way how everyone seemed to be amused by it was not helping them one bit because it was making both of them, especially C feel embarassed. They had to admit it was still better than having to deal with K looking at them like she wants to kill them, though.

The two female watchers stared at G who was placed in charge of their IQ test, having been placed as the trustworthy enough person to do this by C. R shrugged this choice off and went along with her, not minding him being the one to do this as she just wanted to get this over with and prove her point to C. She had to admit. C choosing G out of all watchers to be the one to perform this test instead of L or X who would definitely be unbiased here was kind of interesting.

They looked around themselves as well, looking at the crowd formed around them as they were certain all of the residents of the HQ gathered around them for this. Upon hearing what happened between the two of them and seeing the mess both of them made while trying to prove their point, the other residents of the HQ must have grown curious on how this situation will end and gathered here to see the end of it.

R and C glanced away from the others around them a second later and shifted their gaze back to themselves, beginning to glare at each other once more as C felt herself growing certain on winning this bet with R and R felt herself growing certain on winning this bet with C. No matter what they thought right now, neither of them considered the possibility of losing the bet and already began to get excited about getting their rewards for winning it.

"...Alright. I got the results!" G's voice flew through their ears, making both of them glance away from each other and push themselves out of their excited thoughts regarding their rewards as they shifted their attention to him.

C crossed her arms, "Finally."

"You're telling me. I couldn't wait for this.." R added as she shifted her gaze to C for a second, "I'm more than ready to win this and prove who's the smartest one here."

C rolled her eyes, "Yeah. Keep telling yourself that."

R shifted her gaze back to G, "Come on. Give the results to us."

"Alright. I'm on it. The winner is..." G began to reveal the winner of the bet to everyone as R and C leaned closer with both of them wanting to be the one to win this bet. The winner could be only one, though and the winner was, "...R with her IQ being 157!"

"Hell yeah!" R's reaction to this revelation was instant as she tossed her arms in the air, cheering loudly. She glanced at C with a victorious smirk on her face while C felt all the color leave her face in an instant, "See?! I told you I'm smarter than you and refused to believe in it! I freaking told you!"

E's eyes widened a bit, "What her number is?"

"Wow..." H uttered in awe. She knew R was smart. However, she had no idea her IQ was of that number.

"Dammit. Why did she had to win..." Q muttered under her breath, having been rooting for C to win this bet.

B wrapped his arms around her, "Look at the bright side. At least you will always win over her when it comes to to the stuff with TF2 and Overwatch."

"I suppose." Q's expression lit up a bit at this.

R leaned a bit closer with a smirk on her face, "How does it feel, C? Knowing I'm officially smarter than you?"

"..." C stayed silent, not doing or saying anything right now with her face being completely pale by this long. If the other watchers were honest with themselves, they would be certain she didn't hear the results if it wasn't for her face going pale. Her mind had a hard time processing everything and she looked like something inside of her had snapped into two as well...

Z crossed her arms, letting out an amused chuckle, with her arms crossed near the front, gave an amused chuckle. "Well, that was entertaining."

"R, you're enjoying this way too much." X pointed out to R upon seeing the way C reacted to the reveal of R being indeed smarter than her. If she was honest with herself, it her feel a bit worried and concerned for her.

V nodded in agreement, having seen this kind of expression more enough times at the gym, "Yeah. She looks like she just lost a boxing match."

"Can you blame me for being so happy, though? I won! Now if I only had someone who could reward me for being so smart."  R replied as she shifted her gaze to Q who gave her the middle finger with B nodding in approval of Q's reaction. R pouted a bit and shifted her gaze to Z a second later as Z kept her arms crossed above her chest with her smirk from earlier still evident on her face.

"C was close to her, though with her IQ being the number of 155." G added to the results, hoping to make C feel a bit better after seeing the way she reacted to the results. His words had no effect on her, though as C remained as silent and pale as ever.

"Huh. Her IQ is the same as your height." W muttered to N wth a playful smirk on his face as N pouted at his remark and elbowed him for it. He rubbed his ribs painfully a second later, "Worth it..."

C's pale face remained frozen for a moment longer before she blinked and let out a soft, strained laugh,  "Hah. 155. That's close enough like G just said, right?"

"Close?" R kept her smirk on her face as she raised her brow at C, "Sure, if you call losing to me  close."  She leaned in, her victorious tone impossible to miss, "Admit it, C. You thought you had me beat. But guess what? I'm smarter. Officially."

C's eye twitched slightly, but she kept her expression calm as she didn't want to make a scene here even if she felt dead inside, "Congratulations, R. You won here..."

"You bet your sweet bippy I did." R's smirk refused to leave her face when C gave her the answer.

F crossed his arms, "I can't believe how close you two are to each other in IQ..."

"Close enough, but she still won..." Q muttered under her breath, remaining displeased by R winning over C. Fortunely, she had her the thought of TF2 always winning over Overwatch in her mind and it was more than enough to keep her cheered up.

X raised a hand in order to gain everyone's attention with her attention remaining on the expression C had on her face right now, "Okay, everyone, let's not make this a bigger deal than it is. They're both smart. Can we all agree on that?"

P smirked, "Sure. But only one of them is smart enough to win. Right, R?"

"Damn straight!" R's smirk looked like it was glued to her face by this point, wrapping her arm around P to pull her closer to herself.

"At least this means we can put all of this crap behind us..." K muttered under her breath, having grown more than done with this situation. The fact that the mess R and C made was not cleaned yet was making her even more done and frustated wth it.

T looked down at her with a smirk on his face, "What? Are you afraid your IQ would be lower than mine?"

"As if that would be the case." K huffed and crossed her arms. "If anything you will have the smallest IQ out of all of us."

T crossed his arms with his smirk stayinh evident on his face, "Really? How about we test it out, then?"

K shook her head, "No, thanks."

T nodded in understanding, "So you'll afraid I'll be smarter than you, then."

"No. I'm not!"  K denied it immiediately and glanced at G, "G. Can you do an IQ test for me and this idiot on whatever you did it on?"

G nodded in confirmation, "Yes, but..."

"Good! Do it now!" K cut him off as she walked over to him with a smirking T closely behind. From the look on his face, everyone could tell he was certain about the way this will end and he looked more than pleased with whatever the results will be. She glared at T a second later,

"Are we really doing more of those now?" D muttered under his breath.

"Looks like it." P chuckled at this, pulling R's hand away from her and glanced at him, "Want to take one with me?"

D shrugged, "I'm find with whatever."

"I see..." P raised her brow a bit at his answer. She glanced away from him and saw O walking over to to get this test done as well. Upon seeing him doing what she wanted to do, her expression lit up a bit as she knew this could be a good way of impressing him...

C stayed silent, seeing more and more of her fellow watchers coming over to G to have their IQ's checked by him as she found herself in the middle of the crowd with her mind racing as she tried to push back the flood of thoughts threatening to overwhelm her. Everything around her seemed to slown down for a moment as the voices of the other watchers became muffled. She had just lost the bet to R and though she had congratulated her, she felt really hurt on the inside.

"Hey~!" She was taken out of her thoughts a second later as R wrapped her arm around her and looked at her with a massive smirk on her face, "I won..."

"I already know that..." C cut her off.

R leaned a bit closer to her, "But you remember what our bet was about, right?"

C's face instantly went pale again at this, "No..."

"Don't play dumb with me, girlfriend." R's smirk grew from here, "Someone will be walking around in the playboy bunny suit tommorow~."

C blushed heavily, "N-No. I won't..."

"Yes. You will. Bet is a bet and you can't back out of it now~." R shook her head, looking like she was enjoying herself way too much right now as she pulled herself even closer to R to rub her cheek against her, "Don't worry. I already have a suit picked out for you. You will be nice and sexy tommorow and I'm certain the others will be unable to take their eyes off of you~."

"Dammit..." C bowed her head, letting out a sigh as she knew tommorow was going to be the most embarassing day of her life and words couldn't describe how much she wanted to delete herself from existance or even better make the time freeze to make sure tommorow won't happen.

As C continued to despair over her fate with a smirking R remaining by her side, everyone continued to ask G for the IQ test and soon enough everyone got their results and found out who were the other smartest watchers among them. Unsuprisingly, G was took the third place as the smartest watcher with M and W using this as the chance of teasing him on how he is smart and can't figure out how to get a girlfriend and X was closely behind him in the fourth place with Z being really happy to see her best friend get this place.

However. What shocked everyone was T having the fifth biggest IQ among them, surpassing K by a few places much to her dismay...

---

It was the next day at the HQ with the morning sun having risen up not that long ago and many residents of the watchers HQ were located at the dining room right room, eating breakfast and planning out what to do today while preparing themselves for the day. There wasn't much all of them could say about their morning right now, having a normal morning right now with Q complaining a bit about the sounds she was forced to deal with at night of R celebrating her victory with 6O and Esdeath and her needing to go to B's room for the night because of it.

Most of them already forgot about what happened with R and C yesterday, having moved past it and decided to leave it a funny or frustation memory as it depended on the watcher and their thoughts on it. The only person who brought it was K who remained angry over the mess R and C made and remained salty over T having a higher IQ than her, constantly asking G to do a redo of the test even if G told her how those tests are faulty more times than he could count. The way how T seemed smug around her was not helping the case.

Everyone shifted their attention from whatever they were doing right now and shifted it to the entrance to one of the entrances of the dining room as R walked into the dining room, making sure to be as loud as she could while doing so almost as if she was doing this to gain their attention. Upon laying their eyes on her, everyone could notice one thing about her and it was the pleased and nearly blissful smirk she had on her face right now.

Everyone got the answer to why she was smirking so much a second later as they saw C walking into the dining room and her choice of clothing instantly caught their attention. All of them felt shock filling their bodies upon seeing what she had on herself right now and many of them blushed at the sight. C had a red playboy bunny suit on herself and it hugged her body pretty well, leaving some parts of her body more exposed because of how tightly it was hugging her.

C stopped in her tracks, her legs shaking a bit because of the footwear she was forced to wear for this by R as she faced everyone in front of her with her eyes instantly catching the sight of the more excited and smirking faces some of her fellow watchers formed after the shock of seeing her like this wore off. If she was honest with herself, she wished she could just dump her glasses right now to avoid looking at them right now. Her cheeks were extremely red from the embarassment as well.

"Can someone just kill me?" The female watcher asked herself internally, looking completely dead inside. If she was honest with herself, she never felt so humiliated in her life. Even when she asked out a boy in highschool and he laughed in her face.

"Come on, C."  R elbowed C with a playful look on her face with her voice filled with glee and happiness as C stood stiffly next to her, keeping up with her efforts of keeping herself up on her feet in her heels, "You've got to admit, you're really pulling this look off. I mean, who knew you had it in you?"

C glared at her, "I'm going to have words with you later. Many, many words. None of them polite."

R's grin grew at C's reply, "Don't be like that, girlfriend. You're the talk of the HQ now! You've single-handedly lit up everyone's mood this morning. Isn't that worth a little embarrassment?"

"No!" C immediately shook her head at this, keeping her eyes on R as she refused to look at anyone else in the dining room right now, "If you call this a 'little' embarrassment, I'd hate to see what you think 'a lot' looks like."

"Oh, me and my women could show you if you'll be interested." R winked playfully at her best friend as C's face turne more red than she thought it was possible because she knew what was R talking about right now, "But let's save that for next time."

"There is no next time!" C practically growled out through clenched teeth as she clenched her fist to stop herself from doing something embarassing in front of everyone. Or at least more embarassing than whatever this was, "I'm never making another bet with you again. Ever. Even if my life will depend on it."

"That's what they all say. You sound just like Q." R waved her hand in a dismissive manner as the two pushed themselves into walk towards the nearby table with C stumbling a bit in her tracks. The glasses wearing watched clenched his teeth, doing her best not to do anything when T playfully wolf whistled at her," And yet, here we are. Besides, deep down, I think you're enjoying all the attention you're getting from all the handsome men around you right now~."

"N-No...!" C nearly snapped, cutting heself off mid-sentence not to make herself snap in front of everyone as she shifted her gaze to G for a brief second and saw him looking at her with a blushing face while M and W had smirks on their faces until N elbowed W with a pouting face. She blushed more at this and glanced back at R a second later, "You are insufferable."

"And you're adorable when you're flustered." R retorted playfully, having just reached the table and having taken her seat.  C muttered something under her breath and sat down next to her, keeping her gaze on the floor as she proceeded with her attempts of making sure she wouldn't have to look at anyone while being like this, "How about I'll go to get us something to eat from the kitchen?"

"Fine. Whatever..." C replied, not caring much about it right now as R got up from her seat and moved towards the kitchen to get both of them something to eat.

She kept her focus on the table in front of her, waiting for R to return with their food and praying she'll come back with their food as quickly as possible as she wanted to leave the dining room and keep herself locked up in her workroom for the rest of the day. The way she could tell everyone still had their attention on her was not making things any better. She looked up a second later as her best friend returned a few moments later with her radiating smugness.

R slid a plate in front of her and plopped into her own seat, "There we go! A balanced breakfast made my our favourite plank for my favorite bunny."

C glared at her for this nickname, "Do not call me that."

"What? It's a compliment." R grinned as she sat down next to her and began to tear into a piece of toast, "I could call you something worse, you know."

"Worse than this whole situation?" C muttered, gesturing to her outfit as R smiled at her sweetly. She huffed and picked up her fork, stabbing at the scrambled eggs on her plate as R decided to mess with her a bit more and placed her hand on her thigh. C jumped up a bit in her seat because of it, glaring at R like she wanted to kill her as R playfully stuck out her tongue at her.

"Good morning, hun." C and R looked up from their food a second later upon hearing this voice and saw Esdeath standing over them with a smirking face with a blushing 6O right next to her.

R smiled at the view of them in an instant, "Good morning to you too. I'm sorry for leaving our room earlier than usual. I had to take care of some matters with my bestie."

"Yeah. I can see see." Esdeath's smile grew as she shifted her gaze to C while taking her seat across from her with 6O following her example, "Good morning to you, C~. I must say. You loo pretty good today."

C glanced down back at her food as she didn't want to look at Esdeath, "Yeah. Whatever..."

Esdeath chuckled at her reply, "What's up with your reply. You should know there's no time to be shy about this. You should embrace how attractive you are right now."

C looked up back at her with narrowed eyes, "Why? Because I'm not attractive when I have my normal clothes on?"

Esdeath seemed a bit taken aback by the answer, "Hey. That's not what I'm saying..."

"Yeah. Where's that coming from, C?" R raised her brow in a mild concern.

"C. You really do look nice. But, you know, it's not about what you're wearing. You're always really cool." 6O added with a concerned look on her face.

"Whatever. Just be quiet and let me eat in peace." C gave them her reply, cursing herself mentally for snapping like this as R, Esdeath and 6O exchanged glances with each other and decided not to push the topic further.

The conversation at the table slowly faded into silence as R, Esdeath and 6O stayed silent or rather stayed silent towards C as neither of them wanted to risk making her more angry than she was after Esdeath's comment. All four of them ate their breakfast in silence until they were done and C got up from her seat, pushing herself into walk towards her work room where she intended to remain for the rest of the day.

She looked over her shoulder upon reaching the exit from the dining room and saw R, Esdeath and 6O getting up from their seats, having just finished eating themselves to follow her into R and C's workroom. C paid no attention to them and glanced ahead of herself on her way to the workroom and passed by O who was on his way to get his breakfast in the hallway. Just as he passed her in the hallway, he froze in his tracks upon processing what she was wearing and smirked in a delighted manner.

C didn't even bother to look back at him, feeling herself wanting to reach her and R's workroom even more after feeling his pervy gaze on her as R, Esdeath and 6O walked past O in the hallway with R sending him a knowing smirk. O turned away from C a second later, shaking his head with an amused smile on his face as he could tell this was going to be a memory he was going to have in his mind for a very long time.

Upon reaching her work room, C closed the door behind her without waiting for R, Esdeath and 6O and made her way to her seat. She sat down on it and placed her feet on her desk, trying to make herself comfortable to make herself stop thinking how much she wanted this day to end to make the time go slower. She refused her legs from the desk a second later, realizing how this would walk for anyone who would enter the workroom and she wanted to avoid such a situation.

"Hey. No need to look so miserable." R's voice rang through her ears a second later as C looked n the direction of it and saw R walking into the room with Esdeath and 6O. From the kind of expressions they had on their faces, she could tell all of them saw her with her legs on the desk and she absolutely hated it.

"I will look miserable for as long as I will have this outfit on." C glared when R when she voiced her retort to her as R rolled her eyes, smilling in amusement as she made her way to her seat in their workroom, "Unless whatever you put my through in front of the others at the living was enough for you and I can..."

R shook her head upon sitting down on her seat, "Nope. That won't happen. A bet is a bet and you need to honor it like I would honor my part of the bet if I lost."

"Dammit..." C muttered under her breath as Esdeath made her way to R and sat down on her knees.

R smiled upon feeling Esdeath rest on her knees as she glanced at C again, "Don't worry. It's just a day. You'll hang on."

"Easy for you to say..." C replied, knowing R wouldn't be saying this if she was the one to lose the bet and wouldn't have to do whatever C had come up for her.

Time in the workroom slowly passed, making this day feel even longer for C even if she wanted it to be as short as possible. R, Esdeath, and 6O had finally left her to her own devices with R and Esdeath exchanging kisses every now and then while C kept repeating to herself how she just had to endure this day and forget this ever happened. Whatever would happen today, she just hoped it won't be anything else which would humiliate her further.

However, there was one thing she was certain about right now...

It was going to be a long painful day for her...

----

The day slowly came to an end and C locked herself up in her room the moment the sun went down from the top of the sky, knowing the time for her to wear the playboy bunny suit came to an end the second the sun went down and knowing it was the moment she was waiting for the whole day.  The female watcher couldn't remember the last time when she was waiting for the day to end if she was honest with herself. She didn't even bother to say goodbye to R when she left their work room and went straight to her room, intending to take the suit off as quickly as possible.

Upon reaching her room, she locked the door to make sure no one would walk in and took off the suit before tossing it on the ground which left her completely naked in the process. C didn't care about it, though. All she cared about was her no longer having to wear this suit. Nothing was going to make her put it on again. If she was honest with herself, she had intended to burn it tommorow to make sure she won't have to look at it in person or someone else won't find it in her room.

She laid down on her bed a second later, letting out a deep exhale as she found herself thinking about everything she had gone through today and she absolutely hated everything. The way how most of the watchers and even the characters like Esdeath, Devola and even A2, 6O and Popola even if they tried to hide it kept oggling her with smilling and smirking expressions as she was forced to walk around in this outfit.  Whatever they were feeling whenever they had their eyes on her, she could tell they were enjoying themselves very much.

To make everything worse for her,  she saw a few of them taking pictures of her and it left her certain this incident won't be left as just a memory in everyone's minds because of it having some documentation left of it. The thought of whoever they will come into contact with in the future seeing those pictures made her feel absolutely sick and embarassed on the inside as she could already imagine the way all the newly met characters would react to it...

She placed her glasses on the cupboard next to her bed, not caring it would leave her blind in this moment as she had no intention of leaving her bed. All she cared about right now was going to sleep and putting this long embarassing day behind her. She knew the moment she would fall asleep would help her get away from the embarassed reality which she was forced to face today and she was more than eager to make it happen.

The female watcher didn't fall asleep, though. Something stopped her from falling asleep even if it was all she wanted right now. She was stopped by her own tears as she found herself tearing up the more she thought about everything and it was just a matter of seconds before her tearing up became a full blown crying with tears going down her cheeks and sobbing noises coming out of her room. She even buried her face in her hands, making sure to make her crying muffled because she didn't want anyone who had their room close to her to hear her crying.

C wasn't crying, because of the embarassment of what happened today, though. She was crying because of something else. She was crying, because she lost her bet against R, leaving her as the second smartest watcher instead of the smartest watcher like she was convinced back when she had gotten to know the others better.  This knowledge itself was enough to make her cry, because her intellect was the only thing she had going for her and the only thing which was making her useful among everyone around her.

It wasn't the case just with her new job as the watcher, though. It was the case back on her homeworld as well. On her homeworld she was a nobody. She wasn't as pretty as any other women around her and she could count on both of her hands the amount of time a man looked at her in a way which would show his interest with her. She was always physically weak, always doing the simplest of the exercises on the PE lessons with some struggles and the only reason why she was a bit stronger know was because of her extended strength as the watcher. She wasn't as social as everyone around her and always kept herself burried in her books for most of the time when she was younger and in college as well.

The situation didn't got any better after she graduated from college as she left herself burried in her work, leaving her too tired to do anything else after leaving work and always coming back to an empty apartament with no one there to wait for her as her lovelife remained the same as it ever was. She was a 26 year old woman, leaving one of the watchers on the older side and she was never on a date or even did as much as held hands with anyone.

To make everything worse for her, her parents even kept asking her about her love life and constantly kept comparing her to her step-sister Heather. Heather, who was of the same age as she was, was everything she wasn't. She was a social butterly with tons of friends and with an actual love life. In fact, she was married and her husband had a child together. Once her niece was born, her parents started talking about this kind of stuff with C more, pointing out to her how she isn't getting younger and how she needs to start thinking about finding someone for herself and starting a family with him.

The constant comparisons from her parents made C begin to do it more herself as the time passed even if Heather never boasted about any to it to her or tried to make her feel like she was beneath her, making sure to always be nice to her whenever they met up for a family gathering or something else. C just couldn't help but envy Heather for being everything she wasn't and for being someone her parents clearly preferred over her even if they never directly told her this to her face.

All of this just make C hate herself on the inside. She hated herself for being who she was and couldn't remember the last time she genuinely felt proud of herself. If that ever happened in the first place. She hated herself fo being so weak. She hated herself for being so ugly. She hated herself for her lack of social and love life. She just hated the person she was and just wished she could be someone better. If she could go back in time and do things differently in her life, then she would do this in a heartbeat, but unfortunely she knew it wasn't possible even if she was a multiversial deity now.

She just wanted to be someone she could be proud for once in her life instead of someone who was cursing out the person she saw in the mirror each morning...

"Why are you such a failure...?" The female watcher asked herself internally. Those words kept repeating themselves in her mind over and over again before she slowly drifted into sleep, having cried herself to sleep.
