29 - Not Angry

Bored.

The living room was empty now that the night got older. Most of the guys went to sleep, I knew Eisuke was still up doing work...

But I was left alone and I was getting bored out of my mind.

I could to the casino? Or maybe the bar? Maybe I could write my next big hit?

I groaned and sprawled myself onto the couch while taking out my phone.

I scrolled past the gram' and saw all my k-pop friend's posts about various concerts they performed at or studied they recorded with...

Damn, I should really get to making music again.

Ever since the earlier talk with Eisuke, he seemed a little more...relaxed, almost. It was strange, the look on his face was peaceful... and he was quieter than usual.

Maybe...

"Shit, maybe it's a good time to ask him to invest in my music now." I whispered to myself.

I burst into his work office excitedly, hoping that he'll hear me out at least this time around.

"Eisuke!" I called out to him nicely. "Would you be such a dear and hear me out?"

He sat on his desk, hunched over. It seemed as if he was nodding off on top of his laptop.

At the sight of his sleeping face, I brought my voice down to a quieter level and tiptoed my way to the chairs placed in front of his desk.

I glanced around his office. The wallpaper was royal purple and there were two bookshelves against the wall with a window in between them. His desk was bulky, yet the top of it was almost bare. He has no pictures, or anything personalized on it.

I bring my gaze down to his peaceful looking face. He seemed chill earlier, but this was the most relaxed he will ever be. Sleeping, that is.

Again, just like that morning that he woke up in my bed, his long eyelashes rested on his eyelids, and his face seemed somewhat handsome for a brief moment. I almost wanted to snap a picture of it.

"Son if a bitch is actually tolerable like this." I mumbled to myself. "Why can't you be like this when your awake?"

"I can be."

I scooted back in my seat in panicked. "Jesus Christ. If your awake let me know."

"I was asleep, but I felt your hateful presence in the room, and knowing you, you would probably try murdering me or something."

I didn't know if he was half asleep, or if he was being nice. It was like a wild beast all of the sudden turned into a domesticated puppy. I was so confused.

Eisuke rested his head on his desk. "What do you want?"

"Well... I wanted to ask you about...you know what? Never mind, it's late and you're half asleep, so I'll just get back to you tomorrow." I decide that it's better to communicate with him when he's not being so fucking...nice.

"You're here. So you might as well tell me."

"Alright, well I just wanted to let you know that I think the Carolina thing is over." I begin cautiously.

"What makes you think that?"

"Well...she likes Soryu now...and I know that because she tried to become my friend to ask about him." I recall the recent events. "That's why I had introduced her to Alkaev, since she's known Soryu for a while and all..."

Eisuke sighs, his face still down on the desk. "So that's why."

"Yeah...but with that being said! Since the Carolina thing is over, do you think I can get back to my music?"

"You want to leave?"

"Hm...well not really, you're the one that's investing in me and all... so there's no need for that really. Unless I have to perform overseas. But for now I just have to get back into making music and talking to producers and such. Do you think you could invest in that first?"

"Sure, just help me out with that mess tomorrow, and we'll get it all sorted out." He finally stands up from his leather chair and hides his face under his hand.

"Okay. Nice. Thanks." I confirm. I feel a smile crawl onto my lips, and before I leave his office I walk up to him and rest a hand in his shoulder.

"You're not so hard to talk to when you're not angry, and bitter." I comment.

"The same goes for you. I guess you're not a bitch all the time after all." He glances at me then turns to walk out first. "I'm leaving now."

"So am I!"

We part ways in his living room. Upon shutting the door to his room I silently cheer, turning up to the good out come that came out of talking to him calmly for the first time.

I didn't know what made me happier. Getting him to help me start my career again, or finally being able to fucking communicate with him properly.

I woke up in a good ass mood, and I started off the day right by trying to text both Alkaev and Bucci as soon as I woke up.

My text to Alkaev read: 'hey gurl ily sorry I called you crazy before, and also for accidentally putting you in a death match against Bucci."

I didn't have Carolina's number somehow, even after she wanted to become best buddies with me just the other day.

Did she even ask for my number?

I shrugged and told myself I would ask Eisuke to have her meet with me soon.

As I thought about apologizing to Carolina, I got a text back from Alkaev.

'Please don't text me.'

'Oh you're so cold!.'

The cold personality of the two was active, so I left my messages to her at that.

"Okay, maybe I should go and see Eisuke to talk about my music?" I asked myself, starting to get hyped for a next release.

I got dressed and made myself look good to complete my amazing mood.

Wearing nice clothes, waking up in a good mood, and looking forward to make something new, was the best feeling in the world.

As soon as I finished getting ready I left my room to find only Mamoru, scrolling through his phone, smoking as usual. Soryu was on his way up stairs to see Eisuke.

"Good morning, too all. Though, there seems to be only two of you. Weird."

Mamo closed his eyes in acknolegdment, and I make my way to follow Soryu into Eisuke's den. Soryu just stares, without uttering a single word.

"What is it?" I ask him upon arriving up to where he stood.

"...you're not...angry."

"You're right about that! You know, I might try not being angry and bitchy more often." I give him a pleasant smile and a pat on the shoulder. "Let's go see our buddy Eisuke, shall we?"

His eyebrows wrinkled up with confusion, but I paid no mind. I walk in and hold the door for him to enter behind me. Once inside we find Eisuke having some coffee while he sat on his couch, on his laptop.

"Hey." I greet him with a small wave.

Eisuke raises an eyebrow before nodding.

The three of us stood in silence. As much as I couldn't wait to get started with my music again, I decided to let Soryu go first.

I extended my hand as a gesture. He steps forward.

"The Bucci girl came to my office." He begins, on his usual cool tone. "She says she wants to get to know me..."

His expression becomes troubled, and he looks down. "...please do something about her. I don't want her anywhere near me."

God damn. I thought to myself. That's cold, but also understandable.

As much as a wedding between two shady groups sounds lit, I did respect my homie Soryu's wishes.

"...she not your type?" I ask him judging him a little, poking a little fun at him. "I personally think she pretty nice...when she's not trying to kidnap me and stuff."

Eisuke, inspiredby my teasing, joins in. "Why don't you get to know her Soryu? A deal between your group and hers...sounds like you can earn yourself a powerful alliance through her."

"Come on Soryu! Your kids would come out lookin' real fucking cute!" I added.

Soryu closed his eyes and turned himself around to walk out of the room, shutting the door behind him quietly.

"Are we giving him motive to shoot us?"

"Most likely. " Eisuke agrees, closing his computer before turning his attention from the closed door to me. "What do you want?"

I dusted off the imaginary dust from my striped skirt, and cleared my throat. "I'm here to talk business."
