28 - Did What

"You tried to have a tea party with the daughters of rival groups. You really are an idiot huh?" Eisuke lectured
coldly.

I clicked my tongue and looked away, pouting as I defended myself. "Well you guys never tell me anything! How was I supposed to know that they hate each other's guts?"

"There was no doubt in your mind when you decided to invited them for some friendly girl gossip? It didn't cross your thoughts that, perhaps even being around the daughters of some of the most dangerous men in the world was a bad idea?"

"I could care less who anyone's parents are." I inform him in my calmest voice possible, while gracefully passing my long blonde high ponytail from one side to the other.

The squad sat in the living room watching tonight's auctions on the monitor. Together, as the warm and cozy family that we are.

I crossed my legs on the couch, getting ready to talk back to Eisuke at anytime. On the outside I probably looked calm and composed, when in reality my mind was working a mile a minute trying to formulate whitty comebacks.

"CL go on a celebrity date with me. I'm bored!" Ota whines loudly while sinking into his seat on the couch next to me.

"Hell no. You're not my type." I answer him turning back to the monitor.

"That's your issue? Aren't you supposed to be 'engaged' to Eisuke?" Mamoru mumbles between puffs of smoke.

"Sure. Whatever." I shrug without turning away from the screen.

It's been several weeks now since I joined this group of weirdos, and everytime they have auctions they sell weird ass shit. I really get a kick out of watch people bid for useless, expensive, things.

Sometimes you have the organs and such, but for the most part it looks like shit stolen from a museum.

On the screen you could switch between angles of the room to watch from, today Eisuke watched from the back right corner of the room, occasionally zooming in to the item being displayed.

"Hey you sure do get a lot of western paintings. Who sells those? Are they authentic?" I bring up, wondering about who the hell gets their hands on the famous paintings.

The room continues staying silent as I look around the room for answers. I glance at each one of the men. "Hm? Ya'll won't tell me?"

Baba smiles, and before giving me an answer to my question, he looks over to Eisuke for silent approval. Eisuke closes his eyes and turns his back to us, walking up to his room.

"I'm the one that brings those in, not all of them, but a good majority. It's not only paintings either, I steal all other sorts of collectible items."

"You ever heard of Lupin?" Ota follows up.

Again, the room returns to its silent state, only now instead of avoiding eye contact, they all stared at me, waiting to watch my reaction.

It was surprising that Baba was a thief, but honestly, I don't think much can shock me anymore. Shit is wild around here, and this wasn't the worst of it.

"Oh, okay." I say, shrugging again, not asking further questions.

I tried not to think about it too much. I personally didn't believe that stealing was necessarily 'right' but fuck it. Honestly, I felt like Baba, as she shady as he came off, didn't seem like too bad of a guy. Lupin, at least, when they speak about him on the news, doesn't hurt anyone.

"That was a tame reaction." Soryu speaks up from the opposite corner of the room where he stood, cooly leaning against the wall.

"Well, I guess. But honestly, I think that Baba being a thief is tame for the little club thing you guys are running around here."

I look over at Soryu and remember that Carolina wanted to know more about him. After the situation de-escalated yesterday, both Carolina and Alkaev were pretty pissed with me, and they haven't sent a text or anything.

That didn't mean that my quest to find out more about Soryu was ending just yet.

I get up from the velvet couch and stand next to Soryu, coping his stance. He glances over from the corner of his eye, almost glaring. "What are you doing?"

"Me? Oh I'm just standing here next to my best friend Soryu!" I smack his back playfully. "How are you doing today?"

Soryu looks visibly uncomfortable and it shows with the way his body almost cringed away from the touch of my hand.

Well that's awkward.

"...Don't touch me." He takes a couple steps away from me.

"Oh come on don't be such a prude!" I laugh, talking steps towards him, lessening the space he had created before.

In response he moves away further and places his hand inside of his suit threateningly.

Fuck.

"Okay, okay, I get it damn." I take a couple steps back with my hands up in the air, showing that I mean no harm.

Well that went extremely well.

How am I supposed to figure stuff out about him when I can't even get near him?

My nervous smile is quickly replaced by a serious gaze directed towards Soryu. "Listen though, I want us to be on good terms. You seem like a nice guy, Soryu."

"...." he continues glaring at me as if I killed his puppy.

I roll my eyes in frustration, saving my bonding time with Soryu to a later date. I adjust my fur coat and audibly sigh. "Geez Soryu, you're mean..."

"Woman. Come here. I need to speak with you." Eisuke calls out from the staircase that leads up to his room.

"Huh? You can't even call me by my name and you want me to listen to you?" I answer stubbornly. "Hell no."

Eisuke makes paces his way down stairs and grabs me by my wrist forcefully. "Don't test my patience, woman."

I he looks down at me and waits for me to comply. But me being the lovely, pleasant person that I am...I look straight into his eyes and smile...

"Fuck you."

He pulls on my wrist, dragging me to his goddamn room by force and shuts the door behind us. "What the hell is your problem?"

"You're my fucking problem! You're a fucking asshat who treats me like shit." I answer his question. "I just want a little respect."

He leans in close to my face. I involuntarily shrink away from him, but on of his hands jerks my chin towards him.

"Earn it."

I push him away from me. "No, I don't fucking owe you respect. Yes, you helped me out, and I helped you back. I know I have my...moments, but if you can't even call me by my name, and expect me to answer...you got me fucked up, pretty boy."

Eisuke's eyes don't rip away from me, no... they stay glued onto mine, and it almost feels like he's staring into my damn soul. After a minute of just glaring at each other, my eyes start to dart away from his.

"Listen... I don't care if your an average man, a millionaire, or even the prime minister himself." I pause, walking up to him and pointing my finger to his chest. "If you want my respect. You can fucking earn it."

His face remains stern for a moment before he looks away with a sigh. "Get out."

"A 'please' would be nice." I added quickly before walking out.

"CL." He calls out to me before I can leave the room. "I've been meaning to ask...that night...you...took contraceptives after...right?"

My eyebrows raise in surprise. "Oh, so suddenly we remember what happened that night." I turn back to him. "And to answer your concerns. Yes, I did." Bitch I'd rather be dead than having a child now, especially Eisuke Ichinomiya's.

"Alright."

I still don't remember shit, but I guess we did do it.
