25 - Don't Recall

What used to be a few bullet holes in Eisuke's penthouse are now a more than ten after yesterday's events. Baba and Ota managed to escape after Alkaev put him under another hypnosis, and somehow that woman even got him to forget it ever happened.

Alkaev or whatever her name is came back up today to check if she messed up anything else up in his brain.

"Valeria?", Soryu raised an eyebrow, confused as to what the lady was doing away from Russia.

"It's a pleasure to see you again, Soryu Oh." She nods politely, even bowing a bit. "I hope I'm not intruding, but I couldn't find a better time to come and talk about....-our business."

Sorry stands up from playing chess with Eisuke. "I'll have you know I don't do that business anymore. Someone else is in charge of that area."

"Oh?", Valerie Alkaev's eyes narrow at his response. "Well then."

"Nice to see you again.", Eisuke calls to her from his seat. We were supposed to be acting as if it was her first day here, because to Soryu, it was.

"Mind introducing her?", I nudged him, irritated because

even though we saw each other yesterday, we hadn't actually been introduced.

The honey blonde's eyes widened for a split second before she agreed with a nod. She opened her mouth to speak before loudmouth Baba beat her to it.

"Behold, Moscow's Witch, Valerie Alkaev, daughter of the head of the biggest drug cartel in Russia; Medved." Baba smirked as he put an arm around her shoulder, which looked awkward because the lady was almost the same height as him.

"Day job: Psychiatrist, and a certified clinical hypnotist, although she doesn't always use it at the clinics-" Ota continues, stopped mid way by Valerie clearing her throat.

"Nice to meet you! I'm Chaerin Lee, international super K-Pop star, ex. Member of 2ne1 and somehow, part of this shady establishment Eisuke masks as a 'hotel' to the public!" I bow and introduce myself enthusiastically. "I think you might need to check on Eisuke's mental health- or maybe you could hypnotize him to make him a little less of an asshole." I speak my mind freely. Baba and Ota snicker while Soryu and Valerie give Eisuke a weird look that I can't really describe.

I look back at Eisuke and he looks pissed, but his frown quickly turns into a menacing smile as he proceeded to roast me back. "Or maybe you can help Chaerin figure out how to fix her superiority complex that led her to break up her band and get fired from her agency."

"Hey why don't you just fucking drop it? I thought we had gotten passed that shit. Besides- I'm not the only one with the superiority complex, you think you're so high and mighty just because you're rich!"

"Enough." Eisuke growls at me, and the room that was once full of whispers from the other disappear, making the room completely silent.

Bantering with Eisuke was not new, I knew damn well that this man had power, but by messing with him, it got us to get a bit more casual with each other. I can't imagine having to act all respectful and shit, to someone this powerful. By constantly picking a fight, I put us on the same level, despite having our clear difference in authority around here.

"Whatever, I'm going to take a walk around down stairs. Hopefully I bump into that other hypnotist lady so she can actually do something about you. What was her name?" I pause before stepping in the elevator. Then remembering the poster with her stage name from a flashback from two nights ago, I say it outloud. "Karina Garcai??"

"Oh!You went to her show? I'm so jealous she is seriously so cool." Ota's eyes sparkle.

"I'll join CL downstairs." Valerie's voice perks up and almost sounds a tad bit higher than before. It caught everyone's attention, and they all turned to her. She grinned in malicious manner before pulling me on the elevator with her and setting our destination to the shopping floor.

"Call me any of you decide to join us." I waved one last time before the doors of the elevator closed and with a chime.

So the awkwardness began.

The tall Russian chick and I stood side by side in total silence. I tried really hard to come up with something to talk about, but my brain couldn't muster anything up.

"Can you keep a secret?"

I watch her from the corner of my eye after that line. Seriously, this chick was shady as fuck, and it was seriously hard to read her. One moment she was all smiley and shit, and the next she was all silent and cool. I didn't get it at all.

"Hey, I can keep a secret, and I know you and Ichinomiya fucked a few nights ago. You better hope he wore a condom or you better have a plan b pills planned." She whispered mischievously with a giggle.

I gasp. What the flying fuck? I didn't even know whether or not Eisuke and I had sex. This crazy bitch knew things. Bad things.

I couldn't get on her bad side. For some reason, I felt more intimidated by her than I ever felt about Eisuke, Carolina, or even Soryu. She just had this...bad vibe to her.

"Yeah, that's why I came down here, to see if they had any at the little drug store they got. You think they sell it there? Probably right?" I decide to hold back any snappy replies I would have given anyone else. Valerie chuckles and responds while bringing both her elbows up and shrugging. "I wouldn't know. I don't typically participate in such risky activities. You never know with things like these."

I raise an eyebrow and walk out ahead of her as soon as the elevator chime rings once more and opens its doors. "Right... well I don't either, usually."

She sighs, following close behind me. "Hmm. Call it the psychiatrist feeling, but I think that you're not very comfortable around me." I stop and turn to face her. This girl had me all figured out and it was startin' to piss me off.

I glare at her before asking her what she wanted from me, "What is it that-"

"I'll give you a secret, as repayment. Equivalent exchange right?" Alkaev holds both of her hands behind her back and walks ahead of me slowly. "I just want someone to hear me out, and to accept me. For some reason, I feel like you and I, can get along perfectamente."

"Yeah, okay? What that even mean though?" I began speaking faster. "What makes you think you and I will get along well?"

I rolled my eyes at the way she spoke to me, she sounded sly and devious. It was starting to get more than a little irritating.

"Well, you see you're a little- how should I say it-"

The tone of voice was higher, and her intonation seemed different. Her hands waved as she spoke. It was as if she wasn't Alkaev.

The unknown woman in front of me turned gaze at me with a seductive look while more or less answering my suspicions of her being a possible psycho.

"I am Karina Garacai."
