12 - Strike a Deal, Twice
As soon as we get back to the penthouse, I head straight to my room and immediately start packing. There is no way in hell Carolina's request was going to bring any good news to me.
Eisuke barged in through the locked door to the room with an angry expression playing out on his face.
"What are you doing?"
"Packing." I answer with a hint of sass. "What else does it look like-"
"You're not going anywhere. " He grabs me by my wrist and forces me to face him. "I won't let you."
What the hell was his deal? He was all up in my shit trying to act like he can tell me what to do.
"Woah," Now I was pissed. Ain't nobody gonna grab me like that. "You better bippity boppity back the fuck up mister." I snapped.
He looks exasperated by my words as he lets go. "Listen," He glares at me." I'll strike another deal with you."
I stop as soon as he says that. A deal? I can hear him out...
I face him and take a seat on the random chair that was next to me. "Go on." I urge him to speak now. I had a fast change of heart because this guy was rich. I had forgotten that, well not forgotten, I'd say it sunk to the back of my mind.
I couldn't stand the guy but if I got something good out of it (considering I basically don't have a job right now) I should take the chance.
He looks at me oddly before ignoring my quick change of attitude. "This is going to benefit you more out of the both of us." He crossed his arms deep in thought. "I have to though. It's the only way to get out of this situation without getting the mafia to point a gun at my head."
I nod. "Ain't that the truth." Then it hit me; (I should have cared about this a lot earlier) why was this man so involved with all these black market, mafia things? I don't know jack about the law or crime but, if he's the son of some rich guy, he'd get his family's business in serious trouble, i mean, if the media caught wind of this. I'd make a good headline.
I'd put a serious stain on the family name though (aye that rhymes). Maybe I should use that line in a rap?
No, no, focus CL.
I was so out of it now. I decided to pay attention to Eisuke's offer now. I'd think about his mischief later.
"So?"
"I'll pay for everything you need to get you started."
"Excuse me?"
"I'm willing to become your sponsor; the financial aid to your...artistic career."
"Oh?" This would save me the trouble of going back to beg some other entertainment company to take me in. Besides, I don't want to work with other artists.
"Hmm...."
"I'd just need you to stay until Carolina leaves."
"Hmm...."
Just do it.
But...I don't really stand the guy...
Just a few weeks.
Hmm...
Just do it! There's not debt involved! You don't have to pay him back shit!
"Alright." I nod and extend my hand for a handshake. "Deal."
He looks down at my hand before suggesting something else. "Release your new song and don't do anything to start your solo career yet. We need to get Carolina over with before you start any of that."
I shrugged. I could do that. "Sure."
My hand was still extended and waiting for his to shake it, but by the time I look up that slut is gone.
"Hey." I grab and throw a pillow at him.
He turns around looking pissed as fuck. That man had satan in his eyes. "....what...."
"You just left me hangin'." I point at my extended hand with my normal one. "We need to seal the deal boy."
He slowly walked himself close enough to me and grabs my hand strongly. So strongly that it hurts.
I can feel my eyes narrow at the pain, but...two can play at that game.
I respond my digging my long ass nails into his skin. "....deal..."
"...deal...." He says his mouth twitching in agony.
We probably hate eachother's guts, but for me he's more like a rival for some reason.
A knock can be heard from the door which was wide open. I look past Ichinomiya and see the rest of the penthouse crew just watching us quietly.
"CL and Eisuke get along so well!" Ota comments.
Baba whips a thumb out. "That means this beauty is staying with us a bit longer. You can come by my room anytime, princess."
I feel quite disgusted as I correct the old man. "Princess? What am I? 5?"
"What would you prefer?" Mamoru says as he inhales some smoke.
"...queen?" Soryu speaks up.
I nod. "That's more like it."
Eisuke breaks out in a mocking cackle. "Queen?" He composes himself a bit. "Queen of bitches?"
"Wow. Fuck you." I roll my eyes and ignore him.
So far, I think getting along with these people; no, Eisuke, is going to prove to be one of the most difficult tasks ever.
