This isn't exactly the time or place to be looking for attention, dear.

I know I should have done this earlier but I wanted time to process what has happened and make sure I say the things I want to:

My heart goes out to everyone in the LGBT+ community for the events that transpired in Orlando today. More than 50 people were lost in what is being called as the worst domestic attack in the history of the US.
The world is turning into a scary place right now. I'm not joking when I say that. My biggest personal problem is small compared to the families who are going to sleep tonight without their friends, husbands, wives and children. This is truly a terrible thing that has happened today. It makes one question how humanity has managed to get this far. And to steal words from the guy at the Tony's, we can do three things in the face of these kinds of tragedies: We can let it define us, we can let it destroy us, or we can let it make us stronger.

That's all I really have to say right now. I wish everyone safety wherever you may go, and hope you never have to face the unimaginable feeling of knowing someone close to you will never come home.
