Chapter 6 ( My gift to you)

Tomoko's P.O.V

Some time pasted after (Y/n) and I went to his favorite café. I still can't believe he agreed to come over to my house one day. I practically thought about it every single day. I've thought about it so much that I've completely ignored playing my otome games. I've also stood Yu up a couple of times when she wanted us to hang out. I've thought about calling her but what would I say. I can't let her know about (Y/n) just yet. I thought as I pick up my phone. That reminds me. (Y/n) hasn't gave me his phone number so I couldn't call him even if I wanted too. I can't just ask him for it....that would look suspicious. Though I know this problem will arise soon. It will be hard to communicate with each other later on.

I groaned really loudly and Tomoki yelled for me to shut up. I stuck a tongue at him even though he couldn't see me. Then my room door swung open. It was mom holding the vacuum cleaner. What did I say about coming in without knocking. Gah! Still she ignored my annoyed looks and went about her business cleaning my room before suddenly striking a conversation.

Mom: You know Tomoko. I might be seeing things but lately I've seen you walking to school and back home with someone. I didn't get a good look at them but it looked like a boy.

I would be surprised but it's just weird when your moms spying on you and trying to talk about boys.

Tomoko: And what if it was?

Mom: I'd be happy. At least you would have more friends. It's healthy for you. Is that why you've been acting strange lately?

Before I could respond. Tomoki had appeared in the door way.

Tomoki: Yeah right. Who would actually want to hang out with you for large periods of time.

Tomoko: SHUT UP TOMOKI!

I say as I marched over and slammed my room door on his face.

Mom: Relax Tomoko, he's just being a younger brother. Your friend sounds perfectly fine.

Tomoko: Yeah but I don't understand why he dresses like he could be in a K-pop video or something.

Mom: If you like him so much then maybe you should invite him over but you know the rules about having boys in the house right?

Mom said as she gave me a death glare.

Unbeknownst to us, Tomoki was listening to us on the other side of my room door.

Tomoki: If mom doesn't creep him out you defiantly will.

Tomoko: I know, I know, I know but don't get creepy and weird him out or he won't want to come over any more.

Mom: I can't make any promises, I am a mom after all.

Tomoko: A super annoying one.

I said before mom slapped me across the face and told me to clean up my room.

Gah, she can't take a joke.......

Later on, whenever mom left, I thought it would be a good idea to make that bracelet that (Y/n) wanted. Though I nearly forgot about it until now and then after that, I'm going to go beat the crap out of Tomoki.....

Time skip 45 minutes later......

-_-....he threw me out of his room.......

Reader's P.O.V.

I had asked Tomoko to come with me while I went grocery shopping for my mom. We had just came out of the store with store. In between school time and the weekends, Tomoko's been acting really excited about something. Her eyes seemed like they wanted to tell me something but Tomoko would back out whenever they came close to doing it. I opened my mouth to ask what was on her mind but then my phone vibrated in my pocket as I reached for it. It was my mom texting me as a reminder to bring back some milk and soba whenever I came home, which I had gotten already. As I closed my contacts, I noticed that I didn't have Tomoko's number. How dumb is that. To think I was wondering why I only talked her when we were hanging out or in school. I could be forgetful sometimes.

(Y/n): Sorry for being a total grandpa for forgetting but we don't even have each others phone numbers. I was suppose to give you mine a long time ago.

Tomoko who had desperately grabbed at her phone suddenly lost her grip of it when she took if out and it was heading screen first into the ground in a way that would surely crack it. I didn't even realize I was reaching for her phone before I felt it land in my hand. I'm glad I managed to save it.

(Y/n): Huh, good catch for someone with butter fingers.

Tomoko looked relieved. Something tells me that this was not the first phone Tomoko had broken, I thoughts as we exchanged numbers. My phone did a "ding" sound to signify my new added contact. I admired it for a second or two. It was nice to have my contacts read Tomoko Kuroki instead of just Mom, Dad and Grandma. I wonder what nickname I should set or the ringtone I should pick for when Tomoko contacts me.....

(Y/n): There. That's out of the way. Call or text me whenever you like, even crazy hours are fine.

I said but once again, my mom had texted me to hurry back home so she could start dinner and I wanted to hang out a little more with Tomoko. I didn't like that I had to tell her goodbye as we parted but before I turned around, Tomoko lightly grabbed my arm. I turned to her as she gently took my hand and dropped something in my hand before running off in the opposite direction. As I watched her get smaller in the distance, I looked down into my hand and smiled at the bracelet. She remembered it...and she actually got my favorite colors in it, even though I didn't tell her. It had the smoothest and shinest stones, all bound with The bracelet made my day and as I tightly tied it on, I made a promise that I would never take it off.
