— I will Never forget you!

"I would never forget you," Is what she told him, they promised each other the world. Everything they could ever think of, the mere thought of an object, they promised to give each other. He wanted to promise her nothing but happiness and always give her his all. He wished for nothing but to make her feel like the only girl in the world, the only girl he would ever have eyes for. He had so much to give and he was willing to put everything else down to give her whatever she could ask for. He saw her as his soulmate, he couldn't imagine his life without her.

CHOI BEOMGYU -- had met his current girlfriend, CYNTHIA WANG , in his junior year of high school, the two had met in their chemistry class. At least to say, atom bonding wasn't the only chemistry they learned that year. The pair started dating late in December when he kissed her under a mistletoe at their friend's Christmas party and then asked her to be his girlfriend. The two had been strong in their relationship for about three years now, regardless of the fact they had been doing long distance at different universities for almost a full year now. Beomgyu would make the two-hour drive upstate to see his shining beautiful girlfriend.

Beomgyu had attended a local university close to his apartment, staying in his hometown due to his fear of change. While for Cynthia, she had taken a gap year between her first year out of high school and then attended a public university the following year. The two did have their doubts about everything that would happen if they had went long distance but they had talked it over extensively and ultimately agreed—they could do it.

Every waking moment Beomgyu had, he thought about Cynthia, he knew he had definitely found the one for him, there was never a doubt placed in his mind as to why the two wouldn't last. When he thought of the strawberry blonde girl, he thinks of all the amazing qualities she had; her perfect smile that goes ear to ear, her cute little giggle she does when she's trying to not break out laughing, her mesmerizing green eyes that reminded him of emeralds, her small but pointy nose that he kisses from time to time, her helpful caring persona--he could go on for hours about all the little things he had fallen in love with. He was glad to have found a girl who he was happy to spend every moment with.

Everyday the two spent together, they could feel themselves get closer. They had talks about what would happen if the two had broken up and how their lives would be like—these talks usually happened over the phone to avoid seeing each other cry—not that they weren't venerable in front of each other, its would just serve a better purpose to not see each other crying. The two had often cried and expressed their struggles with each other for comfort, their boundaries had gone beyond just crying. The couple couldn't even envision their lives without each other, they forbid themselves from even mentioning the idea of splitting apart since they both knew it would never happen.

Cynthia in a wedding dress was a thought Beomgyu had thought once, he liked the thought, deeming to always have it in the back of his mind to make him happy. "To make me happy," he thought that's what Cynthia did to the boy, he was wrapped around her finger, in the palm of her hand, somewhere he had no problem being at. She made him happy, he made her happy, what more could the two have asked for.

Their whole relationship was so special due to the fact the two had done a lot of their firsts together, first to bring home to parents, first time, first long distance relationship, their first 'i love you', first actual real serious relationship. Cynthia had also been Beomgyus' first kiss, not that Cynthia had kissed a lot of guys before, but this did make Beomgyu feel lesser than his girlfriend. He had not always even the most straightforward with girls, often he was anxious to speak to them. But when Beomgyu had met Cynthia, he found it easy to talk to her, his speech flew easily like a river downstream. He would say he's in love with her, but its more than a feeling of love. He wanted to love forever, love was free, so why would he ever stop loving the girl of his dreams?

---

January 24th, 3:30pm--That was the time when Beomgyu had planned to visit Cynthia for their late anniversary and to celebrate her new job promotion, Beomgyu had been lying to her and saying he had exams preventing him from seeing her this week. He had it all planned out, he had a spare key to her apartment for when he visited, he'd get there when she was at work, set up a little spread of food for her for when she gets home, and then they would have an all-night marathon of all their favorite movies

Beomgyu arose out of his car and stared up at the apartment building, it stood tall like a skyscraper but it was only a mere 6 floors. The boy had grown up in a rural area, leading to him never seeing big cities until he moved to his apartment near his college and when he visits Cynthia. Walking towards the building he could feel his heart beating out of his chest, he found himself feeling like this every time the thought of his girlfriend came into his mind. Along with his heart beating out of his chest, he would feel himself getting butterflies in his stomach, a little nervous every time he sees her. He would always feel giddy when he was on his way to see her, playing the playlist of songs they made when he drove down the highway.

The boy started to make his way into the building, he saw the elevators and make a turn for them. He felt his heart getting heavier and it began beating even harder. Though Beomgyu had never felt this sick before seeing her, he didn't take it as a sign of misfortune, but instead a sign of happiness--or just him eating something bad for lunch. The adrenaline began to pump when watching the elevator going up and staring as the number changed from one to two to three and all the way to the sixth floor. He wanted nothing more than to walk into her apartment, give her this little gift and spend time with her, so why did he continue to grow more nervous as he inched closer to her apartment door?

He stood in front of the door that read 631, he stared up at the large wooden door, for a guy who stood at 6'2, he felt so small when he was in front of this door. He put the key in the lock and turned it, opening the door, and walking in. He walked in as quiet as he could, being a little hard considering the floors creaked. He made his way to take his shoes off, seeing Cynthias pair of sneakers sitting at the door. He found this odd considering those were her work shoes, but he ignored this little detail and proceeded into her apartment.

Beomgyu moved slowly as he heard a creek on the floor, "Fuck." He quietly breathed out, he looked around, making sure the coast was clear and continued towards the kitchen. He sat down the numerous bags he had brought in preparation for Cynthias' surprise.

Cynthia had always been an avid hater of surprises because she hates things that are unpredictable, this was one reason she liked Beomgyu, the boy was quite predictable and she was always able to tell what move he would make next. He never acted out of character, due to his anxiety and fear of change. Beomgyu had only decided to do this surprise in honor of Cynthia getting a promotion at her work as well as her birthday coming up in a few days.

Beomgyu began to take things out of the bags before he heard a noise coming from the other side of the apartment, it had sounded like a small scream. This made his anxiety heighten, millions of thoughts came racing through his head, "Who made that noise? Was it an intruder? Was someone in his girlfriends apartment?"

He made his way towards the sound, which he soon realized had came from Cynthias room, as he inched closer to the door, he registered the sound better, it sounded like a groan, "Was she hurt? Was she hiding someone who was hurt? Was she holding someone hostage?  Was his girlfriend of two years actually a serial killer?" The thoughts continued piling up in his mind, with the worst possible scenarios coming up.

Beomgyu placed his ear against the door, not hearing a noise for a brief moment, before hearing someone cry out, "Cynthia!"

The boy busted into the room, out of breath he looked up. His heart rate quickly came back to its normal pace, his eyes only widening to see Cynthia on top of her boss from work, "Drew!" She moaned.

"And you won't ever forget me." She finished, this part was true, Beomgyu would never forget Cynthia. He would never forget feeling the true heartbreak he felt when he walked in on his girlfriend of two years fucking her boss.
