Chapter 31 - Potions
-Chapter 31-
I stared ahead, my eyes as wide as saucers and words getting caught in my throat. I was completely tongue-tied, and not in the good way. My stomach shifted, a sudden sickness simulating deep within me.
He grinned, eyes glowing red and seemingly piercing one more needle through me. He was treating me like a voodoo doll, one prick after another.
"Such good reactions." He giggled. "It really is worth devoting it to you."
My head fell, hair swinging over my eyes in a useless motion. I couldn't see my feet over my bump, so I just stared at it, mouth hanging open.
"Oh, how broken he looks." He laughed once more, his laugh empty and scratchy in his throat, like he had been smoking for years and it left him charred. "I will admit, you took a VERY long time. You were the perfect prey."
I squeezed my eyes tightly, and one silent, but heartfelt thing left my throat. Well, more like was pulled out.
"Don't hurt them."
Another amused laugh fell from his lips. "Don't worry about them, sweetheart. I would be worrying about yourself if I were you. So much is about to happen...and you won't remember anything about it!"
"What are you going to do?!" My voice barked, stronger and more powerful than I thought I could ever muster in this situation. I expected my voice to be shaken and broken, like it was when I first arrived with Dawn.
Dawn...the same things keep happening again. Why is that? It's so coincidence. It's over and over again.
"Well, telling you would be no fun!!" He giggled, his feet pounding on the floor as he walked in continuous circles around me. I kept my head down ; if I didn't look at him, he couldn't hurt me any more.
"It's so funny, I have to admit. You guys were so focused on Ryan, Dawn, Katherine, Luke..." He went on, listing every person who's ever hurt us or negatively affected us. "But you never thought back to good ol' Herobrine. In fact, you forgot me almost immediately!
"Ever wondered why Adam ; or Sky, should I say, never got hurt? It's simple really. When I was created, I had one simple intention. I am to pick a random, useless human in the world, and pick and take cracks at them until they finally lose it all. That's my existence, my everything."
"And I was your target...?"
"Exactly! I was to crack you. And then once I was done, I would move on and chose another child. Kill the parents in an... 'accident'," I flinched at the mention of my mother and father.
"Give the siblings girlfriend a drug. Have them cheat. Turn the sibling into a drunkard, possibly. Maybe have him be an angry drunk. Take out all of his fury on you. That almost pushed you, too. But that's simply way too easy. So I brought Adam to you, he patched you up and lifted you."
This is when I decided to look up, and immediately regretted it. He was frowning deeply, staring at me with such true hatred.
"That was my first mistake. I let you heal, and then I couldn't undo the glue Adam had used to repair you. He did it well, and it was unmeltable.
"There is one bad thing to all of this, though. I can't affect anyone else. I would be killing the baby and your husband if I could in a split second. But I cannot. If I do, I shall shrivel into dust and be flown away by the wind, never to torture again."
I let out a thick sigh, happiness spreading over me. He can't hurt Adam or the baby. They're safe. At least for now.
"Yes, every once and a while he would get in the way and hurting him will be inevitable. Harming him in the battle in Minecraft was determined ; I could not stop or change those events, so they were permanent, and it was not my fault.
However, I have one thing. One thing that will break you. You will feel it, deep, deep down, but you will feel numb on the outside. The unknown is the most terrifying fear, and I shall diagnose you with it."
"I-Is it another drug?" I asked nervously, my voice getting more and more shaky.
A loud THWAP and a pain that echoed through my back shocked me back to reality, and I winced as tears feel from my eyes and new and frightening pain. It was so unused to it now, I hadn't feel an intense pain in forever. Sky wouldn't allow it.
"WERE YOU EVEN LISTENING?! I AM NOT ALLOWED TO HARM THAT GOD DAMNED BABY. DRUGS WOULD DO THAT." His screaming voice made me shake and shudder in fright terror spreading throughout me.
"No..." He mumbled after he had calmed down. "I am using a potion. It will not harm the baby, or you, but you will still feel pain while delivering." He was growling, but it was better than the sharp yelling.
"It the same drug that we tried to put into you, but in a potion form."
"What will it do to me....?"
"Well, let's find out, huh?"
There was the soft shuffling of feet, and then a loud 'SMASH!' and an unspeakable pain flying throughout my body. I leaned down, gasping, and then letting a loud, inhuman screech leave my throat.
It was followed by another, and then another. Scream after scream fell from my lips, begging to be heard. The pain was unbearable, enough to where I thought I would purely die. My eyes slowly slid shut, and I mumbled one simple word before the world slipped away.
"A-dam...."
-3rd Persons POV-
Herobrine stepped back and watched as the body screamed and yelped, voice cracking and tears falling and it doubled forward. Finally, it seized, and it's head rolled to the side in an unconscious state.
The devil giggled and stepped forward slowly, his dusty and rotting laughs echoing throughout the small chamber they sat in. He stood right in front of the body, and began speaking.
"Tyler Dahlberg, that is your name. You have a drunkard brother named Luke. Your parents died in a car crash years ago. You are straight." His lips pulled back into a sadistic smile, the shadows and low lighting of the room simply assisting the spookiness. "You have a mad crush on Dawn Ables. And finally...
You do not know who Adam Dahlberg is."
Ty's eyes snapped open. He looked around helplessly, his chest heaving up and down at a fast pace.
Where was he? He didn't know.
Thoughts, ideas and memories scratched at the back of his head. He remembered tiny pieces and small things, but nothing major, as far as he could tell.
He was married, but to who? He had long scars on his arms, but how did he come to acquire them?
He did remember one thing clear as a bell ; his brother. The one who cracked him and hurt him deep inside.
A sudden, sharp pain up his side sent his thoughts into standby mode. He cried out, closing his eyes tightly. Fuck that killed.
He slowly awaited it return, sitting still and in anticipation. He sat there for seemingly hours before another one shot up, letting another cry slip.
"Ty..." Whispered a soft, sudden voice. His head shot up, tears still falling. Through his blurry and blocked vision, he could tell someone was there, but he couldn't tell who.
They seemed so familiar..who were they?
Sudden arms were flung around him, and he let out a cry of surprised he was hugged tightly, his head buried in the strange figures chest. He didn't know who this person was or why they were hugging him, but he knew he took comfort in the feeling of their arms around him.
"Ty..." The man almost sobbed. "I'm so sorry...you're okay, I promise. I'll help you through it alright?"
"I'm sorry....but...who are you?"
