Poškozená watched as the agents argued with the medical staff to let him go. Maine huffed before picking up the kid and walking out.
"Maine won't let anything happen to him, I promise." North said as they left.
"So, who's he bunking with?" Connie asked.
Maine grunted. "Me." He said. York gasped.
"He speaks!" York laughed at his own joke.
"Watch out, York. I know your room number." Maine said. Everyone's jaw dropped. Poškozená laughed at them.
"Stop laughing, kid. Your guardian angel ain't gonna be on the solo mission you have tomorrow." South said.
"Mission? So soon?" Poškozená asked.
"Yeah. It came as a surprise to us also. See you later!" South said as she and Connie walked away.
"Hey, buddy. Can I walk?" Poškozená squeaked out.
"No. Hurt yourself. Rest up. Tomorrow will be fun." Maine said.
"Okay then." Poškozená was resigned to his fate. Throughout the day, Maine kept him in his sights like a mother bear with its cub. At least, that is what Carolina said.
