Prologue
"First things first I'ma say all the words inside my head, I'm fired up and tired of the way that things have been."
Till hopped onto her bike. She was going to upgrade to a Triumph Bonneville T100 today, similar to her sister's. Not the most unique ride, for it's a common thing on the road, but she adored the idea of owning one. As she fastened her helmet, she heard her mom calling. Eloise Ryan, a basic mom. She loved her. But she pissed her off a lot.
"Tilly, honey. Get off the bike and come inside. You dad is worried about you," She lied. Till's dad wasn't worried about her. He practically lived in his office.
Till sighed. "Yeah, and um why would he be? I told him last year I was saving up and wouldn't let it go," She retorted.
"Well your father tends to forget things." This time it was not a lie. Well accept when it comes to his job.
"Fine. We can go with that." As she walked up to the table her dad sat straight up in his chair, which naturally was at the head of it.
She sat down."Scintilla," He said. She gave a weak smile and leaned back in her seat.
"After dinner I am going out to get my new bike, that's fine right?"
"Wow. I'm impressed with how you saved all that money. But as you are not allowed to ride without our permission, I will suggest you use that money for college," He stated. Was he serious?
She leaned forward."But, I worked hard! All that is left is the form you need to sign and for me to buy it! Mom, can you sign it?" Till said enraged.
"Sorry honey. I will only sign it if your father will." At this point, Till was so upset she couldn't think clearly. Tears flooded her eyes.
"Well maybe I want to be like Kathy!"
"This conversation is over."
"Yeah. So is my stay at this hell-hole." She ran up to her room and started grabbing everything and shoving it into her hiking backpack. When she finished packing she climed out the window and hopped on her bike.
The ride to her sister's was long but it was all worth it when Kathy opened the door. Till burst out crying. But her sister wrapped her arms around her and she felt more safe then she had in her whole life.

"Big girls cry when their hearts are breaking."
Today was weird. Like not odd, just terrible. A kid threw a crumpled up paper at Kali's head in geometry class. And people kept glaring at her and they looked pretty disgusted. Someone mouthed a word at her she shouldn't say aloud. Overall, everything today sucks.
She had just poured her heart out into a text to the girl she liked. She found out Lynn liked her back pretty recently. She was so pretty, and always called her Kali not Kalila. Plus she was always fun to talk to.
"Kali" My friend Lizzy called. I walked over to her and she met me in the middle and hugged me.
"Why is everyone acting weird?" Kali asked.
"Oh, um...You don't know?"She shook her head "Well, Lynn told the school about your text to her last night. I'm so sorry, Kali. I'll tell the principal on her, she'll get like, suspended or something!"
Kali was close to tears. Rage burned up in her. "Lynn, ratted me out?" She choked. Her breath was shaky. She turned away from her friend and walked.
Lynn ran up to her "Kali! I'm so sorry I didn't want it to go this far, I-"
"Shut up! All you do is lie and I'm sick of your Bull!" The other students in the hallway were staring at her. She stood up straight.
"Go to hell." She pivoted on her heel and people got out of the way for her.
Rumors spread. People stared. She just pretended not to care till she changed schools.

"I love play rehearsal, because it's the best! Because it is fun."
"And now, for the wonderful, the amazing, Nicky!" A gap-toothed Nicky stepped onto his stage. Or a table, but today he was performing Aladdin. He loved that movie so much. And he loved musical theater even more.
"One jump, ahead of the strong man, that's all, and that's no joke, these guys, don't appreciate I'm broke!"
He sung for awhile, and even had a stuffed monkey as Aboo and a teacup as the lamp. The best part however was the smiles he put on his family's faces. When he finished his parents clapped and his brother cheered. He ran into their arms and smiled broadly.
"I think, this calls for chocolate chip cookies, I bought some batter yesterday. What do you think Nicky?" His mom asked as his dad laughed. Nicky's face lit up.
"I call first cookie!" Nicky's brother said running into the kitchen.
"Hey!" Nicky responded. He followed him and pushed him playfully so he could get to the cookie dough in the fridge. They rolled them up into balls and put them on a tray. Once they were in the oven, Nicky asked;
"What should we do while it's baking?"
"Tag! Your it!" His brother wasted no time after saying that and ran outside. Nicky ran after him and they played till the cookies were ready. His parents watched and silently agreed that adopting them was one of the best ideas they had ever had.

"Even if we can't find heaven, I'll walk through hell with you."
They ran into the hospital, Isaac trailing behind them. His mother was being wheeled into one of the rooms, and getting calmed by his father.
"It's okay sweetheart, we are almost in the room," His dad reassured.
Once they got in the room Isaac was told by a doctor to wait outside. However his dad insisted he was old enough to come in. His father held his and his mother's hand. His mother held his fingers tightly. Tears were streaming down her face. And after awhile of Isaac waiting and closing his eyes, He heard a cry and dropped his hand. Not a cry from his mom, a cry from his new little sister.
"Hey there Jenna," his mom said holding the newborn close for a few minutes before handing it to his dad. His dad rocked her calmly and said a couple things like "I love you" and "Hi little angel"and then after that, it was Isaac's turn to hold Jenna. He had never held a baby before and his dad helped him. Isaac was crying.
"Don't worry. I'll never let anything happen to you Jenna. I love you so much" The infant started to giggle instead of cry for a second and he kissed her little forehead. He gave her back to his dad, an enormous smile painted across both of their faces.

"Had to have high high hopes for the living. Didn't know how but I always had a feeling. I was gonna be that one in a million."
Seneca stepped through the door ran straight to the couch. She kicked off her shoes. Her family was asleep. It had been 2 days since her and Liliana broke up. Thoughts lingered in her head. Has she moved on? Or was she sobbing in her room? She sat there thinking till she got a message from a number she hasn't gotten a text by recently. She opened it quickly, interested.
"Come here. Quick. It is an emergency." Her eyes widened and she grabbed her keys and slid on her shoes. The door handle turned in her hand. She racked up the courage to do this. What if this is a prank?! Or worse, she was too late. No. She had to do this. She opened the door and ran into her car.
The drive was kind of long and excruciating. She wanted to bang her head on the steering wheel. She wanted to eat ice cream and chocolate and get over the fact she is single. She thought about it and as she thought about her favorite food (it's complicated) she pulled into her girlfriend's house. She got out of the car. As she stepped up to the house she took a deep breath. She knocked.
"It's Seneca! Liliana ex girlfriend," She called and Lilian's mother answered the door wearing a gloomy expression.
"So what is the emergency?" She asked frantically. Liliana's Mother led her to her ex's room. Seneca stifled a tear. It was hard being back in Liliana's house. Sighing the crying woman pushed open the door.

"I'm a mess. Inside out. Searching for a sweet surrender."
Adam sat down in a chair and eyed two beer bottles left on the table from the night before and regretted leaving them there all night. He could have picked them up last night. Now it was knocked over and beer was all over. Plus flies would not leave the bottles alone. He grabbed them rinsed them out, and threw them into the recycling bin.
He ran into his room, flug onto his bed and started to sob. No matter how bad things were at school. Things were worse at his house. But he didn't want to think about it. Slightly calmer, He wiped his eyes-which still had slow tears running down them-and took out his homework. Afterwards he blew his nose with the tissue he got in the box he kept on his desk and got to work.
The words and equations floated around in his head. It was more of a mad jumble than homework, for he was distracted. So he took out colored pencils and a piece of paper and began to draw. He really did find it soothing. He wound up drawing a tree in front of a sunset and once it was completed he looked at it for a little before continuing to work on his homework. It was much easier now. Working hard made it easier to forget everything. Beer bottles, bullying, and all. He hated life sometimes. But drawing and schoolwork was an escape.

"I know that it's a sad world, and you feel like giving up. But stop looking at the ground boy, and start looking up above"
Astrid spun the pencil. It landed on her friend Anna.
"So, anyone you like?" Astrid asked interested. Anna blushed. This was getting good.
"Well, don't tell anyone, but I kind of like Dennis in my biology class. I mean, he is like, really hot." Astrid bit her lip. Her other friend Madison's face sunk. "What is it?" Anna asked nervously.
Madison spoke up. "You know Evelyn right?" Anna nodded. "Well she told Astrid, um do you want to tell her?" Astrid took a deep breath.
"Well Evelyn said she walked in on Dennis and a girl kissing."
"Oh. It's fine. I mean yeah, I'm a little upset, but at least I didn't get like, super attached to him or anything," Anna said managing a slightly sad smile.
"It's his loss anyways," Madison added and Astrid agreed. Anna smiled a little wider.
It was Anna's turn to spin the pencil. To Astrid's dismay, it landed on her. She felt queasy, knowing what Anna had in store.
"Well, well, well. Look who it landed on. Now, do you like someone?" Anna said.
Astrid chuckled. This sleepover sure was interesting. "This is a HUGE secret so don't tell anyone okay!" She waited for replies. She got two yeses. "Okay. I like Alex," Astrid finished. Madison's jaw dropped. Anna gasped.
"Oh my god. You do! But we are hanging out with Blake and Alex on Sunday for Blake's birthday! How is that not awkward?" Madison said. Astrid shrugged but she was actually freaked out. They were gonna play spin the bottle. And there is no chickening out.
"Guys. It's 1:30. How have we not had a pillow fight yet?" Madison said. A few seconds after this, Anna hit Madison with her pillow.
"That was for not having to tell any secrets!" She yelled. Madison got up and hit her back. Astrid laughed and joined in.

"And now your song, is on repeat. And I'm dancing on, to your your heartbeat."
Lilith hummed as she listened to Wolves. It had been a long time in her current foster home. Almost a year. And she loved her foster parents and foster brother. Even when he pissed her off. Plus someone posted a video of her doing karaoke online and she becam very popular from that. Then she heard something really faint so she took off her headphones and paused the song.
"Huh?"
"Lunch!" Her foster dad called to her. She got up and walked into the kitchen.
She sat next to her little brother. They had gone to get fast food and just came back. Her little brother stole one of her fries."What the hell Evan!" She said. Her foster mother gave her a look so she apologized for cursing.
She ate her burger and went back into her room. She took out her phone and put her headphones on. The song was almost finished. When it ended she went into the texting app. Someone had messaged her.
Hey, how r u? ☺
So she responded: Good
Cool she got in return. She was about to respond when her friend sent her a new text.
How is the new foster home?
She thought for a second before Amazing, they just don't know why I wound up in the system in the first place.

"I'm not stressing out, I'll keep doing me. Dressed up for myself, I don't care who sees."
"I was one in a hundred-billion, a burned out star in the galaxy."
Finn tuned his guitar as Stella and his friend watched the football game. "Yes! Woohoo! We won! Finn we won!" She yelled shaking Finn's smiling friend's shoulders and jumping up and down.
"That's great!" Finn replied to her slightly laughing. She got up and started getting her things together. "Wait, you aren't going are you?
"Yeah I am, see you at school," She said and started to leave but he grabbed her arm. "What?"
"I was wondering if," Oh my god. Was he really doing this? "you wanted to go out. On a date I mean," He asked nervous as hell. She smiled.
"How about we go to see a movie? Like, an action one or something," She said. He started slightly shaking from adrenaline.
"Yeah! O-of course!" She smiled wider and left Finn frozen and grinning ear-to-ear.

"You got these little things, that you've been running from. You either love it or I guess you don't."
"Merry Christmas sweetie!" June said as she handed Remey a slightly thin little gift smiling. Remey was practically jumping as he was seated on the carpet.
"Before you open it, we have something we would like to say," Sasha told him. June looked at her.
"We love you so much. And we couldn't love you more if you were our own. We just want you to be happy," June got watery eyes as she finished.
"I love you too," Remey replied. He unwrapped the gift. It was a leather bound journal. He was ecstatic and grinned a huge grin. When he opened it he found out the pages were lined.
"You can write or draw inside. We thought you would like it," Sasha said.
"I love it! Thank you so much!" Remey half-screamed in a very high voice. It seemed he couldn't be happier anywhere else.

"Oh and my heart is a mess. Is it the only defense against the wilderness?"
"Please." The words Emmett spoke to her seemed to echo. His mother had gotten a disease about a month ago. Now he found himself in tears. Suddenly a long beep started going off. As the doctors rushed in, so did more tears. He knew was this meant. She was flat lining.
The doctors yelled at each other and his dad grabbed his wife's arm as he sobbed. A female doctor with a blue and pink pixie cut started doing chest compressions. But it was no use.
She left them in a matter of seconds.
His dad sunk back into his chair and buried his face in his hands. He rubbed his water-filled eyes and looked at the deceased woman he loved. He leaned over and pressed his lips to hers softly before taking a shaking breath and escorting his crying son out the door.

A/N
Ahhhhhh I am so happy to have gotten this out! This I think is the longest chapter I have ever written at 2853 (some parts longer than others) and I am sooooooooo glad I posted it so soon after writing characters!
*Please note some parts take place before others. For instance, Astrid's, Adam's and a few others take place only like two days ago.

P.S. I am sorry if a gif is not working
