Castle of Hell

"Yeah," Lucas agrees.

"Will you come with me?" I ask.

"Am I allowed to?"

"As long as you're with me."

"Then I'd be honored," Lucas says in a British accent and bows properly. "Princess." We both laugh. "What about the others?"

"Force field," I say pointing up.

"Oh, of course. Then that's what I felt."

"Can you make a force field?"

"Duh, that's like the easiest thing to do," he says.

"Good, then combine yours with mine to make it incredibly strong."

"Gotcha," he says and leaves the hut. You can hear the power come from his hands and I feel it enter into mine. Once he finishes he returns to my hut. "I also put small force fields around each hut."

"Smart thinking. Well, you ready to meet my father?" I ask him.

"I guess..." he says unsure.

I laugh. "That sounded really convincing."

"Well it makes me nervous. I've never been to Hell and I really didn't want my first time to be a yelling spree."

"Whatever," I say rolling my eyes and snapping open a portal. A portal appears on the wall. "Oh! Almost forgot! Once we get there you have to release your wings and call me Princess Katima or Your Highness."

"Why?"

"They get all pissy if an angel is there when their wings aren't out and it's the formal thing to do."

"Stupid," Lucas says. "About the angel thing not the other thing."

"I know," I say and we both step through the portal.

...
When we get through we are standing right in front of my castle.

"Funny, I opened it up to my room," I say confused.

"Maybe it diverted you here because I'm with you?" Lucas says.

"Most likely," I respond. "Wings."

"Oh yeah, right." I watch as he spreads his wings. I stare in awe. "W-what?"

"Your wings look really big and strong," I say and he smiles. "And they're really... beautiful..."

He gives an awkward laugh. "Thanks..." he says while scratching the back of his head shyly.

I giggle. (His face is red it's so cute! Wait, cute?! What is wrong with me! He has a girlfriend quit it!) I shake my head in an attempt to shake off my feelings.

"Hey, you okay?" Lucas asks nervously.

I jump a little my face heats up. "Y-yes, I'm fine..."

Lucas stretches out his wings and envelopes himself with them causing the guards to notice us.

"Who goes there?!" the first guard yells. I turn towards them. "P-Princess?!"

"Yes, good evening. Would you be so kind to let me in?" I say formally.

"Yes, certainly, Princess," the second guard says and looks towards Lucas. "And who is this Your Highness?"

"This is my friend and guest, Prince Lucas."

"Pleasure to meet you," Lucas says.

"Oh... Well..." the first guard clears his throat. "Welcome, Prince Lucas." They open the gates and we walk up to the large front doors.

"Thank you and goodnight," I say and we begin walking towards the door. Before I even grab the door handle the door is thrown open and standing there before us is my butler, Hans.

"Princess!" Hans yells excitedly.

"Hello, Hans," I greet.

"Why you look a mess! We must get you cleaned up immediately!"
Hans fusses and begins to grab a phone to call someone down for me.

Lucas snickers beside me and I get flustered.

"N-no, that's unnecessary," I say embarrassed.

Hans then catches sight of Lucas and whispers in my ear. "What is an angel doing here?"

Perhaps hearing what Hans said, Lucas cocks an eyebrow.

"This is Prince Lucas, a friend of mine," I say.

"Oh! My apologies for being so rude!" Hans fusses and bows his head apologetically.

"I'm here to see my father."

Hans face clouds over when I said that. "His Majesty is currently not here."

We walk into the castle and the doors close behind us.

"You're a terrible liar, Hans, and even if you were good I would still know that you're lying because I can sense him."

"I'm sorry, His Majesty, told me to tell you that if you asked for him."

"Well, I'm going to see him. Come on, Lucas," I say grabbing his hand and marching down the hall.

"No, Princess!" Hans yells grabbing my shoulder.

"Remember your place!" I yell and push him to the ground. Then I pull Lucas towards the throne room.

...
I get to the large double doors to the throne room and two gigantic guards are there blocking the door.

"Sorry, we cannot let you pass, Princess."

"We can do this the easy way, where you move out of my way and don't get hurt, or we can do this the hard way, where I move you," I say demonishly.

They look at each other then turn back to me. "No."

"Hard way it is then," I say. "Arrghhh!" My fire flares out in a huge rage and I grab the two guards. I lift them into the air, ignoring the stunned expression on Lucas' face, and hurl them down the hallway. I literally break down the doors from the force I put on them and storm into the room.

My father doesn't look the least bit surprised. "Oh, hello, Katima."

"What the hell are all these stupid tests for!?" I yell.

"They're to test your strength," he responds calmly pissing me off more. I throw a fire ball at him and he simply catches it and disintegrates it. "Little angry now?"

"There are people on the island I'm on. We aren't supposed to have humans know we exist!"

"Well they haven't seen anybody have they?" he asks.

"...Well, no..."

"Then there should be no problem," he says.

"That doesn't mean that they won't!" I yell.

"They won't," he says and turns to look at Lucas. "Is this one of your friends from the island?"

I sigh. "Yes, he is the angel form of me. Half angel half human, Prince Lucas."

"Ooo, so you finally found him?"

"Yes, I have."

"Hope you will be really good and close acquaintances," he says as if he's insinuating something.

I turn towards Lucas and smile. He smiles back. "Yes, I believe we will." I turn back to my father. "Anyway, father, I need you stop these tests."

"I will not!"

"Father, I believe that there are hellhounds on this island."

"W-what? T-that's not possible... They should be extinct..."

"We found a skull, except it was just a baby skull," Lucas says finally speaking up.

"Okay... I will stop these tests and we will continue them here on your next visit."

"Thank you," I say with a sigh of relief and my flames die out.

"Well you need to get some rest," Father says.

"Yes," I say and turn to leave.

"Lucas, next time we meet I'd like to see your power in battle."

"Yes, Your Majesty. It was a pleasure to meet you," Lucas says and bows.

"Likewise. I just wish we didn't meet on these terms," Father says and gives me a disdainful look.

I give a sheepish smile and grab Lucas' arm and pull him through the portal.

...
Now inside my hut he withdraws his wings and turns to me. "Well that was... surprising..."

"Yeah... sorry... I got a little carried away..."

"A little?"

"Okay... a lot..."

"You're very powerful. I mean those guards were bigger than a small apartment building! And you flicked them down the hallway like they were ants!"

"Haha... yeah..." I say sheepishly rubbing the back of my head.

"Well I'm going to sleep, goodnight."

"Yeah, goodnight, my Prince," I say then realize what I just said was totally embarrassing.

He snickers and gets closer to me. "Goodnight, my Princess." He pecks my cheek and looks at me then snickers again probably at my red face. "Have you fallen in love with me yet?"

"Arghh, you!" I yell and shove him out my hut listening to his snickering all the way back to his hut. "Ass!" I sigh and lie back onto my back. (Maybe I really am falling in love with him... Oh my gosh! We forgot to train! I guess we'll have to do it tomorrow...) Then I fall asleep.
